Credit card number

I am considering a secure means of transmitting credit card numbers in a form. Users of the form have only Adobe Reader and so I think

(a) when the form-filler is finished completing the form, he or she clicks on Submit or another

(b) the Send button then makes the field of invisible credit card

(c) the form sender receives the form and click on receipt or another button to expose the credit card number field which was concealed from the point b.

The problem is that anyone who intercepts the file can also click on the button receive to expose the credit card number.  The sender-shape and filling have only Adobe Reader. In this scenario, there is no server Acrobat or policy.  Maybe I could have them click a particular alphabet in the title of the form to reveal the credit card number field?  Is there a smarter way to transmit the credit card number?  Thank you.

To do this, the only course is to encrypt the form before sending it. If you post it then https cryptera it while it is in transit. If you're just emailing the form around you can then use the secure... e-mail or you can use encryption facilities in acrobat, but it will require a certificate.
