  BTW, aren't, does not support the HP Support Assistant update your BIOS - you could set the HPSA of notification (in the settings) and then IGNORE the updates to the BIOS offered by this program.  Great tool, but maybe not the best tool for this task.  Always rely on your own judgment and the information contained in the Support of your computer Web site to install updates.

  Looked in MOS and found nothing.  Has anyone go through this before?  If so, what is the cause?

  Just received a resolution of Support from Oracle.  They said that this is a benign error and can be ignored.  Here is their answer to my SR:

  OK, after reviewing all that there seems to be no problem to fix. All configurations are correct. We believe that these errors are benign and can be ignored.

  In light of the facts above, the message "ERROR: could not get the size of the logical block for spfile" seems benign and can be ignored.

  However, to avoid these messages, as a workaround, you can try creating the spfile pfile '+ XXXXXX_SYSTEM/XXXXXX/spfileXXXXXX.ora' and then try to create spfile diskgroup + XXXXXX_SYSTEM using this file pfile.

  CT is about PTools 8.49 and BEA_home is not under PS_Home, it would make everything about the difference in access to this user name?
  CT does not see the House under the envsetup (UNIX) BEA? How can they add that, to be part of the env? Maybe this could be one of the reasons...

  You can control and manage permissions for the domain in the tab currently selected through these steps:

  About the prior Toad Hall "Windows default" comment. That was really the key to the problem - windows by default does not work unless ALL the boxes on Thunderbird are checked. I had used TB along right but wanted to send a few photos and the default TB has not been recognized, though even I had used for a few months.
