Hello

One of your system files has been altered, to solve this problem, you can use the recovery console to fix.
Here are the instructions step by step on how to replace the file system without reinstalling windows or losing any information.

First, boot from the Vista installation CD.

Select your Vista installation from the list in the Windows Boot Manager
· Microsoft Vista Setup (x 86)
· Microsoft Vista Setup (x 64)
Press ENTER.
You will see Windows is loading files.
Then the language screen will come up. Since you have already selected this option when you installed Vista, simply click Next.
Now, you will see the Installation of Vista screen.
DO NOT CHOOSE to install it now
Instead, to the lower left corner of the window, you will see.
· What to know before installing Windows
· Repair your computer
Choose and click on repair your computer
You get to the System Recovery Options. List, select Microsoft Windows Vista. And then click Next.
Now, you will have the opportunity to choose what recovery tools that you want to use.
This list provides details for the five tools that can help you to repair your Vista installation. These tools are:

1. Startup Repair

2. system restore

3 Windows complete PC Restore

4. Windows Memory Diagnostic tools

5 command prompt (select it)

Open the command prompt window:

The repair command line tool allows you to open a command prompt that allows you to access the files and information from the registry on your computer. It is a valuable tool to eliminate the security threats such as worms, rootkits and other malicious software on your computer and to be able to access files when Vista fails to start.

Once at the command prompt, type the following commands:

CD c:\windows\system32
copy '... \Driver cache\i386\ntoskrnl.exe '.

If you are prompted to overwrite the existing file, type y and enter.
If you receive a file not found error, make sure that the path to the copy command is correct. If it is correct and you still receive the error, try the following commands:

CD "c:\windows\driver cache\i386".

Expand sp1.cab - F:ntoskrnl.exe c:\windows\system32

Yet once, if you are prompted to overwrite the file, type y, then enter.
Also, if your operating system is installed on one partition/drive other than C:, then replace any occurrence of C: with the correct letter. (D: for example).
Reset. Your system should boot normally. Martin

    Hi saisinga,

This error messages are usually caused due to the failure or corruption of files of drivers on the computer.

I would first check if you are able to boot in safe mode.

Start your computer in safe mode
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

If you are unable to boot into safe mode then I suggest that you try a startup repair using the vista installation disk and check.

If you have a Windows Vista installation disc, you need to restart (boot) your computer using the installation disc. If you do not restart your computer from the disk, the option to repair your computer will not appear.

    1. Insert the installation disc.
    2. restart your computer.
Click the Start button, click the arrow next to the lock button, and then click restart.
    3. If you are prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.
Note If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer. You may need to change your computer's BIOS settings. For more information, see BIOS: frequently asked questions.
    4. choose your language settings, and then click Next.
    5. click on repair your computer.
    6. Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.
    7. in the System Recovery Options menu, click Startup Repair.

Check out the link for more information below.

If restarting fails then try a system restore using the windows vista installation disc.

To use the Windows recovery environment, you must have the Windows Vista or Windows 7 installation disc. To start the Windows recovery environment, follow these steps:
1 put the installation disc in the disc drive, and then start the computer.
    2. press a key when you are prompted.
Note If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer. You may need to change your computer's BIOS settings. For more information, see BIOS: frequently asked questions
    3. Select a language, a time and currency, and a keyboard method or entry , and then click Next.
    4. click on repair your computer
    5. in the System Recovery Options dialog box, click the operating system that you want to repair, and then click Next
In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click System Restore to restore the operating system to the restore point that was created when the program or the driver has been installed.

  • Upgrade CC, could not load the installer saying could not access a critical file (error 46). I have used the cleaning tool that removed the CC Office application which could then download showing the same message as before

I have Windows 7 and CC Photoshop and Lightroom. I closed all Adobe applications before downloading the upgrade. It failed after about 50% and showed error 46 and said that it is impossible to access the critical files/directory. I then used CC Cleaner and it has removed the LTCC which I then started to download. The operation failed at about 50%, citing the same error and the message that I received during the upgrade.

Please check: cannot install Creative cloud of installation - 46 error code.

You try to delete the file folder and try to reinstall the application.

  • OCP: Question about the critical files on control and collision

    Hello

I am currently a student at OCP certification exam 1z0-053.

To do this, I bought the all-in-one fixed Oracle Press (http://www.mcgrawhill.ca/professional/products/9780071629188/)

During his studies, I would like to test, to prove things and simulate the operation to get more familiar as possible with important concepts.

The study guide covers the fact that when a critical file is damaged or lost, the proceedings will end. The critical files listed are: all copies of the controlfile, a data file that belongs to the SYSTEM table, a data file which is part of the current tablespace undo.

    As said here's the quote:

Some of the files are important. Damage to a critical file means that the database instance will end if it is open and cannot be reopened until the damage is repaired.

    [...]

Practically the moment where that the damage occurs, the instance will end. As always, first reaction of the DBA to an instance crashed should be to attempt a start. It will fail in NOMOUNT mode, with an error message appropriate. The alert log will show what controlfile copy is missing and also - in the section list of parameters to initialize default - controlfile how many copies there are actually is and where they are.

A self-test at the end of the chapter, it is:

    1. loss of these files will cause a database open failed? (Choose all good answers.)

    A. a controlfile multiplex

    B. A multiplexed log file online

    C. a multiplexed log file archive

    D. an undo tablespace datafile asset

    E. a tablespace temporary assets tempfile

    F. Since the SYSAUX tablespace data file

    G. a file of data space of SYSTEM tables

    H. a data file containing the user's critical data

    [...]

    Answer:

    1. A, D and G. damage to any copy controlfile put an end to the proceedings, as damage to critical tablespaces: SYSTEM and break current tablespace.

So, under the 11.2.0.3 when I delete or corrupt a control file copy, the instance is not crashing and the database continue to work. Alerts log is only regularly notifynig controlfile missing:

ORA-27041: could not open the file

Linux-x86_64 error: 2: no such file or directory

    I'm not really knowledge.

I have to stick to what is said in the book or the experienced facts?

    Thank you

    Bruno

The information contained in the Guide of the exam are not correct as written.  The Oracle instance would end on the loss of a single control file.  Oracle documentation on the management of the control files is here:

    Management of control files

It says: "If a control file is damaged due to a disk failure, the associated instance should be stopped. Once the drive is repaired, damaged control file can be restored using the intact copy of the control of the other disk file and the instance can be restarted. »

"Stop" means that the instance has become unstable.  Unstable case act differently depending on the situation this way, the book is not (cannot) document the specific behavior that may occur.  While the loss of a control file means that the DBA should be abandoned to the instance, it is a very different thing from the instance to the destination of its own.

The ultimate source is always the Oracle documentation. I checked the page of errata for this book to McGraw-Hill.  I only see an extra.  Submit this to them and get your name on the page as a contributor.
