Crop images to the largest dimension of hor/Green?

Hi guys and his team of photoshop.

could you please inform me if it is possible to crop photos for its largest side. (but not automated manual)

That's what I want:

(a) If an image is 1400x1600px to cultures to 1600 x 1600 px

(b) If an is1700x1400px of the image to crop px 1700 x 1700

After the automated process that each photo should be sized to it's larger size of the horizontal or vertical dimension.

I am I clear enough?

Is this possible via shares or any other automatic work?

Anthony

You have to use "crop" or you can use "canvas size"? It is easily achievable with a little script. Something like that

http://pastebin.com/r0EtBj1U

Copy the contents and paste it into a document with a text editor. Save the document as "MaxCanvas.jsx" and then run via "File-> Scripts" in Photoshop; an action or "whatever." Works like a charm, but I have only tested in Photoshop CC on Maverics.

  • Fireworks CS5 'automatically' resizes images to the tiny dimensions

I have a strange problem when working with Fireworks png of one of my experts in the field. So it's nothing new to us and it has been used in tens of thousands of images (we deliver eLearning to 70,000 people per year in 130 countries), we have been in Fireworks since about 2000. We have 10 users and have been used for a series of windows machines over the years.

We use with Flash, Dreamweaver, and Fireworks CS5, and generally everything works fine. But a few months ago, I opened one of its PNGs (layer, etc.) and if I made any changes or not when I re - open it was resampled very small. For example, an image of 600 by 400 pixels display 16 x 15 pixels.

That would happen with any of his images on several machines at work (* CS5) and my machine at home (CS5.5).

We had remove IT and then reinstall Fireworks CS5 on his machine and everything was going well for two months. Now this weird thing happens once again. There are a few local configuration file that has changed. I am after my roll trying to solve this problem and the only solution I have is to open its files in Photoshop which works very well (but is not ideal, since only two MMDs PS and we must change the captions in Fireworks).

To summarize - I open one of his images, close it and reopen it and it resamples to very small dimensions and unsuable.

Has anyone ever seen this strange behavior?

Is there a config file I can delete and let the system rebuild? (I remember some flash question, years, which was set like that).

    Thank you!

Well, I think I found the issue although I don't understand why this happens only to the files of one person (don't forget that I've been using Firewworks since 1999).

If I open the pictures they look very well. But when I export to PNG - 8, they get very small. It is happening now for a few years and it only happens with one or two of our SMEs.

BUT... what I have done today, after facing this once again, was to use the Export Wizard. When I finally get to the Preview Image of the wizard dialog box and then click on the file tab, the scale is set at 15% and not a default value of 100%!

So, indeed, all its images act as they are exported with a custom preset - only I don't have any presets like this!

Other images of SMEs are fine, even when worked with less than a minute working with those giving problems. Exact same treatment from me, all look well in my preview, with the exception of those in question, once exported.

Why they have some metadata hidden saying their scale is beyond me (and its images behave badly for an another MMD who is located in another State from me)!

I dunno why, but now I can at least export them to normal size.

  • How to crop images outside the canvas when registering as a bitmap?

    Hello world.

I worked on a design of DVD.  I have a picture of the face of a person on the entire CD.  The reversal of the image outside the canvas.  However, I made a rectangle along the edges and then used a clipping mask to visually remove the overflow.

When I go on save the image as a .png or a .tiff or any type of bitmap image I always save a transparent part where the spill.

How can I HAVE me to stop this?  I want to record only what images are inside the canvas.  Is there a predefined or preference setting I'm missing?

  • Question about resizing images in the photo gallery

I have a bunch of pictures that are different sizes and I am trying to modify them so that they are the same size. I tried their resizing, but it evolves down to sizes of origin there (which are different). This is they way I can edit these photos all at once and edit them to all be the same size photos when I copy and paste someone else. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

It is true that resizing is dimension applies to the largest dimension on a file in Portrait or landscape mode,

It is not an easy way around that because of this restriction / you can't dictate or see the two dimensions on this page of resizing.

    Design flaws.

However, you can change a portrait to landscape using the culture and the lower part of the Crop button has rotation framework that will pass a part in landscape format, including the resizing function will resize itself with files using the correct size now.

You might even be able to test with the Proportion for best results?

  • Cropped/resized images recording is not in the specified dimensions

    Hi all

I cropped and saved an image (original dimensions: 1503x1000px) in Photoshop for a ratio of 1140x400px. However, when I look at the file on my computer, it shows the dimensions as 1503x528px. I have not made any changes to the resolution and have need of these images to the size I specify (cannot use them otherwise).

Anyone know what could be causing this?

    Thank you!

    You gave your answer:

    I cropped and saved an image (...) a ratio1140x400px.

You don't want to cash crops. W x H in the drop-down list and enter the dimensions in pixels directly, like 1140 px x 400 px. Leave the field empty resolution unless you need a particular print size.

  • Why the reduction in file size drastic in cropped images?

I cropped just a picture of 9 MB a very SMALL amount and the resulting image was 756 KB. Why? Is this normal?

What are the dimensions in pixels before and after cropping? The file size is normally determined when you export a copy of the cropped image. It will depend on the settings you choose in the dialog box export for example image size, resolution and jpeg quality unless you export as PSD or by another file format which normally have larger files. In summary, that the file size is not that important as long as the image meets the requirements of your destination ex a picture with a resolution of 72 DPI to average quality compression will be fine for use on sites and blogs while you would need a resolution of 240-300 PPI and of high quality if you were doing an impression.

    Hello

I am using photos HDR merges to build a panoramic view in Autodesk Stitcher.  When I use Photoshop Merge to HDR, stitcher program gives an error that it is unable to Sting as the file sizes are different. When I use Photomatix Pro 4.1 to create HDR, there is an option to disable cropping. This fixes the problem with Stitcher.  If Photoshop cultures during HDR merging, y at - it an option to OFF turrn?

    Thank you

I don't know if it cultures, but it does not change the pixel dimensions (size) according to how to get your images out of alignment are if you use auto alignment.

You can only deactivate in the open HDR Pro dialog box:

  • The appearance of sharpness of the Image on the monitor / cropping picture

    Question n ° 1

It is a problem I've had with all versions of Photoshop.

Sizing up a picture on the monitor has a strong influence on the sharpness of the image appears.

If you click on the button of the screen adjustment, the image always loses considerable sharpness.

However, if you click on the little top and down sizing triangles under Image Navigator (side of the app), it chooses sizes that faithfully reproduce the sharpness of the image (what it will look like when printed). The problem is that it is too small (less than "screen adjustment"), or too large (larger than "screen adjustment").

Has anyone experienced this frustrating niggle and found a solution?

    Cropping

When cropping a picture, the image appears to move non-adjustable in increments, which means that sometimes you cannot the frame on site exactly where you want. Does anyone know how to fix or configure this?

    Thank you!!

There is something basic that you should take into consideration.  The only time where Photoshop displays your actual images when pixels you zoom in you picture view to 100%.   If the Image zoom level is not not 100% that you don't look at your actual image.  Your viewing a version to scale your image. Photoshop quickly scaling allows you to work on your image.  Its rapid scaling, not a fact using the best possible interpolation.  Indeed to some values of percentage of zoom that you see sounds quite bad. It's not your image.  When you work on a Photoshop image scales that you do the sized to your image size image real. That's how the scale works. Don't judge sharpness of the image, unless you look at one of your pixels real images zoom 100%.

You should be able to reframe the exact size you want. You must know how the rectangle selection tool use and the crop tool and manually type in the exact size you want.  You must be careful with the crop tool, it can easily crop and resize the crop.  No matter when you resample a picture, you lose image quality, or throw you have images you create details you have no details.
