Why the reduction in file size drastic in cropped images?

I cropped just a picture of 9 MB a very SMALL amount and the resulting image was 756 KB. Why? Is this normal?

What are the dimensions in pixels before and after cropping? The file size is normally determined when you export a copy of the cropped image. It will depend on the settings you choose in the dialog box export for example image size, resolution and jpeg quality unless you export as PSD or by another file format which normally have larger files. In summary, that the file size is not that important as long as the image meets the requirements of your destination ex a picture with a resolution of 72 DPI to average quality compression will be fine for use on sites and blogs while you would need a resolution of 240-300 PPI and of high quality if you were doing an impression.

  • Why the change in file size is not a difference in how I can put on a cd?

I'm trying to burn audio files to a disc that will play in a cd player.  The size of the files is not that big.  If I just dropped everything on the disk in the form of data files, they would be easily fits on the drive with plenty of room to spare.  BUT when I go through Windows Media Player or I-Tunes to make the drive, it takes 5 discs to fit everything on.  I changed the WMA files into MP3 files, but it remains the same.  Then, I used Windows Media Player to convert the files to a file size reduced.  But it seems not to matter.  There are still 5 discs.

There is obviously something that I don't understand the difference in burning data instead of audio files and the size of the file.  I'd appreciate any help I could get.  Thank you!

If you notice on your empty CD there are two limitations...
for example I have one here that says... 80 MIN / 700 MB...
(this means time 'or' file size... not both)

If you create a... Audio / music CD... (one that will play in)
most CD players)... the limits are dictated by the duration.
If you see the directory on an Audio CD / music you will be
Notice the files have extensions of the ADC (this is the result
regardless of the format of the source files).

If you create a data CD... for example a MP3 cd which will be
play in a player compatible with MP3 files... the limits
are dictated by the size of the file.

Then you have a player that is MP3... you could
create a data CD with a lot of files unlike Audio
CD and strictly limited by the total duration of the files.

How can I make the smaller pdf file size?

    Hi vickyb,.

Reducing the size of PDF file requires Acrobat (one way is by choosing File > save as > PDF of reduced size). If you do not have Acrobat, you can try it free for 30 days. See www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html for more information.

  • The Lightroom export file size: why it's so small? How can I maximize the picture quality?

My image file size is much smaller after editing and export through Lightroom. It is impossible to maintain the size of the original file in order to preserve image quality? This small file size will have a negative impact on the prints? Any help is appreciated!

The file size is not an indicator of picture quality! You are looking at the wrong measure.

File size is determined by the number of pixels you have, the quality slider in the dialog box export and of a dozen other things, most of which you cannot control.

Want to watch the number of pixels (width and height) and not the size of the file.

It is impossible to maintain the size of the original file in order to preserve image quality?

Not only is impossible, that it is also meaningless (see above)

This small file size will have a negative impact on the prints?

Instead look at the size of the file, you must look at the number of pixels of the exported photo (width and height), and this will determine if you get a decent impression. The usual standard is that you need 300 pixels per inch.

  • Why the "pagefile.sys" file has a 2.45 GB in size.

In drive C size of "pagefile.sys" get increases day after day. At present, it has 2.45 GB size.

Can someone explain to me the reason for his creation? Is it safe to delete?

Any kind of help is really appreciated!

This is some of the information that I asked for, but not all the information that I requested.

Click 'Start', 'Settings', 'Control panel', 'System', 'Advanced' tab in the 'Performance '.
section select 'Settings', 'Advanced' tab in the 'virtual memory '.

If the parameter is NOT size managed on the basis of the system, what are the parameters?

If you double-click on my computer, select (highlight) your C drive, right click and choose Properties, you can see the total capacity used space and free space on your drive.

    What are the numbers:

    Capacity
    Space used
    Free space

I would say that if you don't have at least 15% of free space (of total capacity), then you need to either do some maintenance, get rid of some things, move things or get a bigger hard drive.

I hope that someone else will tell you how to do the interview, because I have good grades on what to think.

  • Reduction in file size of scanned documents

ISSA. I analyze the statements of income, statements etc. with several banking pages in pdf format, then want to send them an email with several pdf files attached to a single email. My file sizes are 3 MB, 8 MB, 12MB, etc. even if I scan only about 15 pages in each pdf usually.

I got PDFs page 82 to others by e-mail and the file size is less than 1 MB.

How can I reduce the file size for easier transmission through e-mail?

    Thank you!

    Hi Zohami,

After you change the settings, the settings will be will be, to only do once

Try several times, scan to see what works better settings for you.

After you change the settings in the desktop shortcut, the settings will apply for digitization of the all-in-one touch pad with the same shortcut name.

I hope this helps answer your question.

  • The decisive TDMS file size when running.

I have a request where the .tdms file can grow very quickly, due to the amount of stored data - 7 channels of data acquisition in 50 000 samples dry.

I want to determine when the file has reached about 2 GB and close the .tdms file and create a new one with a different/timestamp name.  I want to break these files due to portability problems.

It is, how to determine the size of the .tdms file?  When I try to give the Sub - VI "to get the size of the file" the .tdms, a GPIB controller file path must be in error of the charge occurs.  Also, the refnum of the tdms file is not the same as the file refnums, so the Subvi "get file pointer" will not accept the PDM refnums.

I could probably calculate somehow what is happening in the PDM file, but that seems to be a workaround and will not exact due to the header information.

You can't get the size directly from the refnum file, but you can probably still get the size another way. Use the file/directory information of the pallet of Advanced File i/o. It takes a path as input, not a refnum. This should give a specific semi file size value, although it will be possible that there is data to cache that has not yet been emptied to the file. Yet, when you talk about the file sizes in the range of 2 GB, it should be close.

It is roughly the same thing that I look in Windows Explorer as the TDMS file size expands as it is written.

  • the audio/video file size

    Dear all,

I've never worked with before DPS and wonder if there is a maximum size (MB) or the time limit (minutes) imposed on the audio or video files that are included in a publication of DPS.  Is it possible to add a file audio in a publication of DPS who could be listened to like a book audio or is the content of the application itself is too small to contain such a large audio file?  The same question relates to the addition of a video file.  In other words, file size limits are imposed on the DPS apps?  Thank you.  It is difficult to get a lot of specific information on the DPS Web site.  Thank you.

There is no explicit, however video file size limit (in particular) and audio files are the only cause of Folio large files. Rather than include directly the video/audio to the folio, you're better off streaming it.

Note that the use of DPS to reproduce an audio book won't really work although you disseminate or integrate the audio.

  • The ideal .muse file size

What is the file size of ideal muse for the loading of the page?

My personal site (which has some great background images is about 6 MB, (when I right click on the file in the finder .muse).) This support ok.

But I'm just cut on a customer site and it's huge! A lot of small vignettes. :-( That measures 14 mb

    Hello

There is in fact no ideal size for file of Muse, as it depends on many things such as elements of the Page, number of pages, Images, animations, etc.

A good point would be that the very large files should be avoided with small number pages such as 1 or 2 pages. It is best to check the layout of the site with the content of the page by page,

and if you think that a page becomes too long for the content, then divide the content in other pages.

  • Project of bloating and repair in Premiere Pro CS6; The Max project file size? Adobe welcome coders...

    Greetings.

After a few sessions, navigation I have not found a specific problem within a bloat of project management. First; We are always backed up. I have a copy of the restoration of the project to which I have referred herein. Verify that the list.

Several people have posted here and around Creative Cow with problems about a growing using CS6 file size; I look at the files range from 300 MB to 2.8 GB. The unfortunate problem is when the project crosses a magical line that translates into an inability to open, import, export or access the sequences contained therein. Has anyone addressed a solution to repair the first CS6 save files? Reduce file bloat? I saw nothing (remember the days of repair FCP7... of solutions exist because the problems were frequent; fortunately not so bad with Adobe).

Know someone inside the code size file size maximum project first can read? I've created a monster... More than 200 sequences using 4.5 TB of sequences, which extends from Red EXCam MPEG4 and H264 codecs. And for a while, the size of the project was manageable. Then, it inflated. And one day stopped randomly opening. No of auto-enregistre it open.

Just curious. The files are not the problem, but the 2.8 GB backup file is. Specifications of the machine / / etc. are freely available, if needed. a lot of ram, no problem with all projects (just that one beast).

    See you soon,.

    Jon Michael Ryan

The problem lies in the automatic backup. Disable it. Turn 200 minutes. Save the project yourself. Make your own auto save folder. It has everything, but he healed for us. Now it's turn to Adobe to fix it.

  • News on the problem of the CHC large files size growing from roaming profiles?

Any news on the problem of large files CHC, increase in the size of Mount profiles?  Thank you.

I talked to the product manager.  Here's what he said.

This was addressed to our latest version.  CHC 4.0 changes the location of the documents stored locally so that they are no longer included when users synchronize their roaming profiles.  The CHC will even spend the previous to the new location files when users upgrade.

  • Calculation of Quickie of the export-PDF file size?

I have a document Indesign CS4 (816 pages, 3.5 GB) I want to export in PDF format in less than 200 MB pieces. Is it possible to request an approximate exported PDF, to save size guess them where do breaks and having to export several times in InDesign?

    Well, your 500 x 250mm @ 300 dpi images are about 60 MB

What I would do is export the PDF file as a whole, then I use the extract Document pages and select as simple Pages.

Then you have the PDF pages separately. You can then select and group them in your Finder or Explorer.

When you select a bunch of files, you should get a reading on what file size they are.

You can then say to tuft of 180 MB of using Acrobat files to combine into a single pdf file.

  • Why the file size increases when cropping in Photoshop CC?

While cropping a picture significantly increases the size of the file.

7360 X 4912 px image (Image size: 103, 4 M) after cropping at 60 X 40 cm 300 px, dates back to a 18000 X 12000 px image (Image size: 618,0 M). And the computer is unable to cope with such a file...

It wasn't like that when I started to use the program.

I crop the image even with CS5 and the result is a picture of px 7087 X 4724 (Image size: 95.8 M) which is normal...

    Enjoy will help you...

I found my problem and solved. When units of culture resolution was incorrectly set to 'px/cm '... When changed to ' px/in' problem solved. Thank you very much aid...
