• Why don't the option + click on download a linked file more?

  Until I have Firefox itself yesterday, hold down the Option key while clicking on a link downloaded the linked file, as if I right click (or Ctrl + click on) improved, choose 'Download Link', and then shot back, but with much less effort.

  I have no internet connection on the laptop (windows xp) after I got this virus any. All my files turned .link files and I can't even open the help and support. When I open the Control Panel, it opens but the icons will lead me not to anywhere. I tried to type in the "Run" dialog box, but it will load and then stop, leading me to nowhere. Evrything is transformed into files .link except internet Explorer, my computer, my documents, the trash and another that I forgot, but even if I open internet, it is useless, since I lost the internet connection. I can't open anything to restore my internet connection. I tried restoring the system also, but it's been so long that it would not return to where it was fine. Also I tried to restore to when it was still very well, but it does nothing. I even tried the safe mode and it is still the same. I tried to format the Local drive, but it tells me to close something that may have been watch the computer or soemthing like that. I formatted the back towards the top but not the local drive. I found the windows xp CD but when the window opens to reinstall, and then when I click on reinstalling windows xp, it won't be going anywhere. The other links will lead to a place, but reinstalling windows won't open. I tried to use the system startup and you press on enter when he went to the Conference of the disarmament/something something and it still does nothing. It will say like taking files from CD or something, but it leads to nothing. I really want to just my laptop to remove everything so I can reinstall windows.

• 'cmd' right-click on link / files

  After installing updates (June 2014) on my laptop, I realized that when you click on links or files, I get the "this file has not a program associated with it". I check with Bing and Google for all the patches and apply it. I restart my laptop once more to see if it's fixed. Yet, I still get this error.

  I had tried another method of opening the files / links, by right-clicking the link / file and rendering account that the first option on this ToolTip is "cmd". I click on it, but it reads this error. I right click again to open properly, and it opens!

  The links must travel with the illustrator file. In other words, you can't send someone your page layout and not send them all the assets placed in the layout. However, you can embed links, but their incorporation will make your file much more available.

  Use the links Panel to incorporate images. Click on the small icon in the upper right corner of the control panel link drop-down list. I've included a screenshot.

  In an Illustrator file, I have some related files.

  You see when I make changes to the linked file (which is another .ai file) and then I opened the Illustrator file changes I made with the linked file. It is OK and how I want it to be.

  However, when I open the same file in Photoshop the changes that I made with the linked file are not detected.

  Is it possible that I can get the changes I'm making the show bound upward in Photoshop Illustrator file as soon as I open it up?

I've recently updated and now when I drag my library, it places a linked file instead of vector format, I know that I can integrate or other but then I have to remove the clipping mask... The vectors that were in there are things I use constantly at work and must be easily editable. Is it possible to disable related files & just go back to how it was before? It's really mess up my workflow. I can simply go back to constantly used vectors in an illustrator file & just stop using the cloud all together.

  This is what happens:

  1. you have a linked with illustrator file or the pictures in

  2. you save the file as an Illustrator PDF

  3. you move or delete one or more related images

  4. you open Illustrator PDF in illustrator and it asks you to replace any missing linked files

  ?

  I don't see how you could think that this is not normal. There is a link to your file to a particular file path, and you move or delete it. Illustrator then asks what you want to do about replacement.

  I often use import it the Carlos Santo multiPDF script and it works fine.

  But I sometimes customers multipage PDF files with text and the fonts are embedded so rarely.

  As you may know, the solution for this font "vectorized" even if you don't have it in your font collection is to place your pdf as a linked file (menu file-> Place with the "link" box checked) in an open document (or drag and drop the it) and then via the object Menu-> flatten transparency , I check the "Embed text" did.

  So to automate it with a multipage PDF and inspired by the script of Carlos, I tried this:

  I had the same problem, my first option was to place the pdf pages, I couldn't make it work I therefore had no choice but to open the file instead.

  go with your first option, besides you drag Actions may place the right page, based on the property of pageToOpen ... so there is hope, record an Action to place your pdf and...

  1. run your script to increase the property of pageToOpen

  2. play your action

  3. Repeat this process for each page

  actions can also run scripts, then you can do it too.

  If you had CS6, it would be easier, CS6 can play shares with Javascript

  When I insert one of the page of the Web site, it shows in the design window.  But when I try to bring any document linked in the left window, code, it is empty and the message says: "whatever.css is not on the local drive.  Also, when I click on LIVE, the file looks like she does not see the file CSS, no images.

  I think, I solved the problem, but I still think that the Dreamweaver does not recognize the addresses.

  I then drive CC_A BB_A Web sites (these are the actual names of the readers).  It's always the disk 'data', apart from the OS, but with a different name.  everything works.  Opening files referred to in the script window, 'live' works as supposed.

  I can only speculate that readers 'CC_A' name has confused the program called CC.

  I can find no other explanation, since, in addition to the name of the drive - everything else is the same.

  In Illustrator 6, you should check 'include linked files' whenever you save a document.  If you do not, the next time you open it, you are looking for the missing link.  Is it possible that I can put a value by default so that it automatically checks each time?

  Include files linked automatically incorporates the files. They are no longer bound. The best way is to have the linked file in the same folder that it HAVE original.

  Photoshop isn't really have the related files. If you're talking about the embedded file in a smart object, all you get is the name of the file. Here is how to do this in JS.

  No, it has to be incorporated. You should not have to re - apply the effect, just turn to "change content" for the envelope and replace the object within the distortion by clicking on 'replace' in the dialog 'Place '.

  You can also save the object as a symbol, giving you direct access to update the subject loosely to 'change the content of the envelope'.

• linked files doesn't work is not under Linux due to capitalization

  I wanted to report a strange situation that occurred to me. I am using Captivate 3 on Windows to create Flash movies, and I'm incorporating movies into Articulate as web objects.

  I've created a demo with three linked files. Let's call them FileA FileB and FileC. When ends in FileA, it calls FileB. When ends in FileB, it calls FileC.

  I noticed that when I set up FileA.cp to call FileB, it automatically converted the uppercase characters to lowercase, referring to the file as. I do not pay attention to what published related files work perfectly under Windows.

  However, when files have been published on Linux, FileA couldn't find FileB because he sought of fileb and Linux is case-sensitive. So I corrected it by renaming FileB and FileC to fileb filec respectively and re-released.

  Known issue? Fixed in a later version?

  CP was probably trying to save you from this issue.

  This is a known issue in the web development community that mixed case filenames are bad news for the exact reason that you discovered.  Don't bother but * NIX servers, IIS servers, and links can be broken as a result.  If most web developers get into the habit rather quickly just using lowercase file names since you never know where your content might end up and what will be the server technology.

  What you should have done, was to go with the names of files in lowercase that Captivate attempted to use.
