CRS-0223: resource "ora.xyz.xyz1.inst" a placement error.

Hi all
I'm trying to learn more about clusters... I've got some knots BECAUSE I'm now responsible for... and we have problems. I'm now trying to figure out what...

Let's say my cluster is "xyz", the instances is xyz1

I can't go to the database, so started looking around.

When I tried:

srvctl status database-d xyz
PRKO-2015: error checking the status of the instance on node: server01

Then I tried to just start things up:

srvctl start database-d xyz
PRKP-1001: error starting xyz1on server01 node instance
CRS-1028: dependency parsing failed due to:
CRS-0223: resource "ora.xyz.xyz1.inst" a placement error.

I'm looking everywhere to try to solve this problem... I don't know yet what a error of placement... and so far, the State news is not help.

I am reviewing the CRS log directory and to understand which connects to seek and then what is given to individuals...

Any suggestions? Oh, when I do:

olsnodes - n
SERVER01 1
Server02 2

Now some thing weird... server02 actually no longer exists... at least there is NO oracle on this box, it was average to repuporsed before coming on board...

It's really just a cluster of a node.

Looking at newspapers such as the crs alert a... it seems things all started upward from Saturday 9... Perhaps there is a power failure or something...

Can someone give me some pointers/idea/links?

Thank you

Cayenne

PS: Found a command to give a bit more information:

crs_stat t

I thought that I read somewhere that you may need to use crs_stop f to force a shutdown, and then restart with srvctl... don't know if to do this... or exactly what the command would be in my case.

You may need to stop everything properly (manually if necessary) and restart CRS.

  • ORA - 06502:numeric or of value errORA-04088: error during execution of trigger

    I received the following error message by entering a number in the maximum value (i.e. 9 999 999.) allowed in a data entry form that is distinct from the basic form:

    ORA-06502: PL/SQL: digital or error number precision value: ORA-06512 too big: "< owner >. < trigger >", line 194 ORA-04088: error during execution of trigger '< owner >. < trigger >.

    Where < owner > is the schema name and < Trigger > is the name of the trigger. The block of data in the application for participation is based on a database table, and the sum of all the values entered (with a maximum value of 99.999.999.) appears in the form of Basic. A grand total of this amount along w / other totals on the basic shape is also displayed with a maximum value defined as 999 999 999. Only, I get the above error message when the total is greater than 99999999. If the total is less than or equal to 99.999.999, the basic form works very well. Why?

    I checked all the attributes of the database columns and form fields and everything seems to be okay, and I'm out of my mind. I desperately need your help to solve this problem quickly because the pressure is on...

    Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hello Hamid,

    Thanks for your help. Yes, it works as suggested, after that I have increased the length of NUMBER data base table column (9) to NUMBER (11).

    gives you the correct answer, and you don't mark it ;)

    >

    Apparently, Oracle database truncates the decimal points and only update the value of 9 digits without giving errors, but the form of Oracle application is more picky and it generates forms and Oracle error messages when you run the application. It seems that there is a difference when executing the sql commands in the Oracle database and execution of these Oracle Forms application controls. Do you agree?

    Yes

    Thanks again for all the help.

    Sharon-

    As the option - is a comment in PL/SQL, you can need to insert these characters through the function chr(). Have you tried:

     v_student_name := :P31_LAST_NAME||', '||:P31_FIRST_NAME||chr(45)||chr(45)||:P31_STUDENT_ID;

    NLS_DATE_FORMAT can be set in several places, but this isn't either / or situation. Put in an init level db parm is the parameter most WEAK. This parameter is substituted by the client OS, which in turn, can be overridden by a SESSION of ALTER, which in turn, can be overridden by the use of the TO_CHAR TO_DATE to the individual sql statement. and if the date is entered by a human being to a keyboard (in fact to key in, not picked a calendar tool or a kind of drop-down selection list) you have really no direct control over the format of the string they capture. So ultimately it's on-demand to ensure that strings as dates are in the correct format.

    That's why I advise developers to ALWAYS use to_char and to_date at the sql statement level. It's the only way they can ensure control over the setting.

  • Visa name cluster resource to the stream network writer causes error 42.

    If I change the data engines TypDef cluster so that a chain control is used instead of the VISA reference, the error disappears and data crosses the stream network without problem.

    This is expected behavior?

    I thought that the 'data' (type = "POLY"?) as one located on the VI 'Write one element to flow' was supposed to take just about anything...

    Hi Rolf and WNM,

    After further investigation, I was able to reproduce the problem and agree that it is a bug. This was reported to R & D (#395047) for further investigations. As mentioned previously, a possible workaround is using the address of the cluster instead of the resource VISA VISA. Thanks for the comments!

  • ORA-900 sql not valid reporting error while calling the optimize_index pl/sql procedure

    Hi Experts,

    I'm on Oracle 11.2.0.3 on Linux and I have installed in my database Oracle text. I want to configure annex dbms_job to optimize my oracle text index. So first, I created a pl/sql procedure to optimize indexes. It gives me error ORA-900, but the sql even if I run in sqlplus works very well! Can you please help me the question is to find:

    Here is the procedure:

    (Either incidentally CTXAPP role has been granted in the schema where these Oracle text indexes are created and where the below procedure to optimize the index is running.)

    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE optimize_ora_txt_indexes_debug

       CURSOR cur_context_indexes
       IS
            SELECT index_name
              FROM user_indexes
             WHERE index_type = 'DOMAIN'
        AND ROWNUM<2
        ORDER BY INDEX_NAME;
       v_user         VARCHAR2 (30);
       v_pod          VARCHAR2 (30);
       v_start_time   TIMESTAMP;
       v_end_time     TIMESTAMP;
       v_elapsed      VARCHAR2 (40);
       v_msg   VARCHAR2 (1000);
       v_error_code      NUMBER;
       v_error_msg   VARCHAR2 (1000);
       v_sql VARCHAR2 (1000);
    BEGIN

       FOR c IN cur_context_indexes
       LOOP
          BEGIN
            v_sql:= 'ctx_ddl.optimize_index (idx_name =>'||chr(39)|| c.index_name||chr(39)||', optlevel => '||chr(39)||'FULL'||chr(39)||')';
            dbms_output.put_line(v_sql);
            execute immediate v_sql;
          EXCEPTION
             WHEN OTHERS
             THEN
                v_error_code := SQLCODE;
                v_error_msg := SQLERRM;
                v_msg :=
                      'Error while optimizing the index '
                   || c.index_name
                   || ' '
                   || TO_CHAR (v_error_code)
                   || ' '
                   || v_error_msg;
                DBMS_OUTPUT.put_line (v_msg);

          END;
       END LOOP;

    EXCEPTION
       WHEN OTHERS
       THEN
          v_error_code := SQLCODE;
          v_error_msg := SQLERRM;
          v_msg :=
                'Error while in the optimize index procedure'
             || ' '
             || TO_CHAR (v_error_code)
             || ' '
             || v_error_msg;
          DBMS_OUTPUT.put_line (v_msg);

    END optimize_ora_txt_indexes_debug;
    /

     --the procedure compiles successfully.
     Now when I run it , I get the error:
    SQL>exec optimize_ora_txt_indexes_debug;
    ctx_ddl.optimize_index (idx_name =>'ACCESS_CLNT_IDX04', optlevel => 'FULL')
    Error while optimizing the index ACCESS_CLNT_IDX04 -900 ORA-00900: invalid SQL
    statement

     --When I run the same command from sqlplus as execute statement , it works fine:
    SQL>exec ctx_ddl.optimize_index (idx_name =>'ACCESS_CLNT_IDX04', optlevel => 'FULL');
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

    If everything runs from sqlplus, but fails in plsql... I'll be very grateful for pointers solve the problem.

    Thanks,

    OrauserN

    Hello

    It is a problem of pl/sql syntax. A call with EXEC is the same using BEGIN... Code of... END of block;

    SO, you need to include a beginning and an end to your call:

     v_sql:= 'BEGIN ctx_ddl.optimize_index (idx_name =>'||chr(39)|| c.index_name||chr(39)||', optlevel => '||chr(39)||'FULL'||chr(39)||'); END;';

    That's all.

    Hello Faye,

    We are already aware of this problem, even if it is not yet present on our Web page of problems known. The reason for this error is that the new facility replaces an instance to the scale encryption key. In the preferences of the instance which have been encrypted with the old value (the SMTP password and the password for the portfolio), the values are not valid after the upgrade and decryption causes this error. As a work around, you can use the apex_instance_admin package to replace the invalid passwords.

    The following code shows how the decryption throws ORA-28817:

    SYS@a411> select apex_instance_admin.get_parameter('SMTP_PASSWORD') from dual;

    FO.flight_number_in, fo.sta, fo.ata, fo.flight_number_out, fo.std, fo.atd
    users u, enemy flight_operations_employees, flight_operations fo
    where NVL (fo.sta, fo.std) between: P_Start and: P_End and
    FO.record_number = foe.record_number and
    u.user_id = foe.user_id and
    IN u.user_id: P_inClauseorder of u.user_surname

    u.user_id is a column in the table. The value of P_inClause is defined as a character setting in the report and is set (45,5,13,26) - for example.

    When I try to launch the report interactively happens with the ORA-01722: error number valid and points to the P_inClause parameter. If I type in the value directly in the select statement, it works very well.

    Do you have any ideas on how I can make this work?

    You can search this forum for "in the clause', for example:

    Hello-

    I'm trying to set up a data source to a 11 g DB from WLS 11 GR 1 material. When I try I get the following even if the account is not locked error message:

    Any ideas? Thank you!

    Hmmmm. are you sure that you use the same JVM and the same thing
    as WLS Oracle driver? (It's in the WLS server/lib directory)...
    Try changing the data source xml to add this property after the
    property of the user:

    user
    myUser

    **
    URL*.
    *... your URL linking... *.
    *
    *

    If this does not work, and even if it does, I suggest a case of official support of opening.
