[CS3] All tools have disappeared completely.

About five minutes ago, I opened one of my work-in-progress documents and gave this error message: http://img717.imageshack.us/f/picture21p.png/

Then I noticed that the toolbar was absent, and the usual method for fixing that has not worked. So I tried to use the shortcuts to the tools I use most often [p], [i], [shift + c], none of them has nothing.

I tried to open another document and received a very similar to the last error message. Even again on the following document.

What is wrong with have turned?

Before launching AI CS 3 you have arrived to make an alias of the program he, I say your desktop from which you launched?

So if you can make a copy of the application instead of an alias and clicking on the copy of the application that resides outside of your Illustrator file you throw a copy who lost the links for some required files that are located in the folder of Illustrator. Where the problem.

There is another way, it can happen, if you hold the option key while launching HAVE you lose contact with many files as well.

Restart without hold down the option key down will do.

Also if the first prognosis is correct to delete the copy and and make a true alias by organizing the Option and command keys while dragging the application to make the alias.

  • All messages have disappeared from Thunderbird Inbox.

All of my emails have disappeared from Thunderbird Inbox. "Sent" and "Trash" messages are OK. I tried to delete the file "Inbox.msf", as some have suggested, then restarted TB, but the mailbox is still empty. My messages are apparently still in the "Inbox" file (under 'profile'), but all the gobblety-gook with loads of codes and numbers. I copy all of this mess, but don't have a clue how it back in my Inbox and make it readable. Can anyone help?

I don't know why the size has changed... maybe I deleted something?

I tried importing and had nothing but issues (details on my previous answer).

I spent 3 days on this now and I'm tired. I guess I'll try using some email recovery program.

    Thanks for the help.

    Hi Hudia,

Thank you for visiting Microsoft Answers.

In order to help you, I would need more information on your side:

    ·         Which version of Windows Vista is installed on your computer?

    ·         Did you install software or updates until this problem occurred?

    Method 1

Try to do a system restore on the computer that will repair return the previous settings.

To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start, type system restore in the search box, and then click System Restore in the list programs.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    2. in the System Restore dialog box, click on choose a different restore point and then click Next.

    3. in the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.

    4. click on finish.

Note: When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

If the system or Mode restore safe work not and you do not have a Microsoft Vista DVD, make a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.

  • Whenever my PC turns off, all tabs have disappeared

Whenever I have disable my PC or restart, all my tabs from last session went and am back to the home page.

There is no restore previous session down option.
The previous session 'restore' in history is grayed out.
I have "show my windows and tabs from last time ' selected.
'Don't load it the tabs until you choose' Option is unchecked.
I deleted sessionstore files as some suggest.

I have scowered so many pages looking for an answer and no luck. Help, please.

    EDIT:
I think the problem may be linked to the fact when I shut down my PC history is erased from my PC.

All possible solutions to come. It was work-related.

If you have installed security software (antivirus, firewall), you can try to delete any existing instances of Firefox and files associated with the configuration in all different areas/modules of the security software. Instead create new rules allow or trust for Firefox and associated processes. Even otherwise the security software can also ask again when Firefox is started and you may be able to allow/trust at this time. Please see this.

  • All tabs have disappeared - bookmarks, display, printing, story, options, help, file, gmail, everything. They simply disappeared. How to make a comeback?

There are NO tabs at the top except for the search box on the right and a place to open different pages - IF I hold the mouse there. As soon as I move the mouse, they're gone, too. And I don't see things at the bottom of the screen that I always used to see (icons for e-mail, anti-virus, volume, show desktop, etc.) even if I hold on the mouse there. I have to minimize Firefox. I just turned on my computer this morning and that's what I had. I rebooted and it was always the same. Help, please.

Make sure that you run not Firefox mode full screen (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: Ctrl + Shift + F).

If you are in full screen view then hover over with the mouse upward to make the bar appear Navigation and tab bar.

You can click the maximize button in the upper right to leave the mode full screen or empty space of a right-click on a toolbar and use "exit full screen" or press F11.

Press F10, or press the Alt key to bring up the 'Menu Bar' temporarily.

Make sure the toolbars like the toolbar 'Navigation' and the 'personal bar' are visible: "view > toolbars".

  • All my posts have disappeared from the Inbox.

I realized there is a similar problem posted, but proposed solutions don't work here and the details here are different.

All messages have disappeared from the Inbox. The sent box is fine, but deleted from the Inbox messages do not appear in the Recycle Bin.

A search of the Inbox for messages of size > 0 allows me to see the messages and respond to them.
If I move a message to another folder the moved message is invisible but believes it is search.

Deleted messages are in the trash folder, but is not visible. A search in the trash finds them.

Messages in the search boxes reuse (response, delete), but try to delete a selected message in the search box list has no effect.

I found a solution. I can't take credit, but I tell you that I was almost embarrassed the simplicity of the solution and the problem.
AT & T ConnectTech technician admitted that when I could left click and select the message in a tab, it was probable that nothing was clicked in the "select to display columns" in the top right of the CT. He clicks on a selection of articles and automatically that my messages appeared.
