CS3 and CS5 on the same computer
I am currently using CS3 on Mac with Leopard, and I'm about to update to CS5. I have read the discussions on the problems of compatibility between the two versions, so I would keep CS3 on my computer, even after the addition of CS5. That would be a problem?
Also, I guess I've upgraded to Snow Leopard to run CS5, but which will then be expected to create problems when I need to work on older files in CS3? Thanks for any advice.
No.... It is not a problem, but files INDD doublclicking automatically open them in CS5.
Check this out if it will be a problem for you: http://www.rorohiko.com/wordpress/downloads/lightning-brain-soxy/

You can run Photoshop CS3 and CS5 on the same system?
I've done it before on another system where I had CS2 and CS3 installed and I could run either version, when I wanted. At the time I have just never bothered to uninstall CS2.
Now on this system, I'm tunning CS3 and I have some plug-ins that I use regularly and that are not compatible with CS5 and I'm not throwing new money for them. So I wish I could install CS5 and especially use it but when I need to use the plug ins and then just switch to CS3.
I noticed that a lot of programs does not these days on top another version. So is there a reason that I won't be able to run them both?
Altogether. All versions of Photoshop can coexist at the same time, even if you can only run one at a time.
It is usual to not install the older version, until you don't know than new not work very well. If you have the space, never uninstall. It is convenient to have around to answer questions, here for example.

Hi, CPC,.
Welcome to the Microsoft Answers Community!
You must install Flight simulator on vista as well as Windows Xp and vista are two different operating systems.
You log in to vista, you may not use any of the XP application and vice versa.

Regular Helvetica font missing in Photoshop CS3, but not in CS5 on the same computer
I have two Photoshop CS3 and CS5 installed on a Windows 7 64 - bit system. Photoshop CS5 has two fonts Helvetica: a TrueType and Type 1. The TT version offers only italic and bold italic styles. Police T1 offers the full suite of the bold, italic, bold italic (or oblique) and medium (or ordinary). Sounds strange, but it's enough. Photoshop CS3 on the same computer, only offers me the Helvetica TT police, with only two styles mentioned above. Why CS3 can not see the Helvetica T1? Why the Helvetica TT only shows me two styles? In case it is relevant, I think that the version of Type 1 is the only one I have installed deliberately, and I recently upgraded to a 2010 version of the police made available by Adobe (to solve another problem with Microsoft Word 2010).
Thanks in advance!
It is by default no Helvetica on PCs. everywhere where these fonts, is somewhere else. Install another program or you bought the fron of Linotype fonts. The latetr is doubtful, of course, in the light of what you said. Aside from that, you can check your directory of Adobe (C:\Programm Common Files Fiels\Adobe\Fonts) fonts from your system fonts directory. For CS3, this would be relevant. Fonts are usually means that several fonts have the same name or the system of police can't understand things for other reasons...

Flash CS4 can be installed and run on the same computer as Flash CS3?
I will be able to install Flash CS4 and keep Flash CS3? I can run both at the same time on the same computer?
I have several projects I want to maintain that in Flash CS3 for various reasons. If I have to put in place a separate computer to develop in CS4, I would like to know in advance.
Thanks in advance. You should be able to. CS4 install in a separate Directory of CS4. I currently have a system running suite CS3 and Flash 8 and InDesign CS2 web! From time to time, the system is confused between Flash 8 and Flash CS3 to open when you click on a FLA file in Windows Explorer by default. But apart from that, there is no issue.
I intend to get CS4 and still keep Flash 8 and CS3, simply because I've been working with people around the world who don't bother to upgrade.

LabVIEW 6.1 and 2012 at the same computer problem
Hello world.
I've been using Labview 6.1 for a while and it worked fine for me.
I recently installed Labview 2012 on the same computer and looks like the serial port of functions do not work properly. Whenever I try to open an example of VISA communication, labview freezes.
I guess it's because even though I can install two versions of labview in the same computer, the drivers can be installed once correct?
But I thought that labview 6.1 and 2012 may share the same VISA driver.
Is there a way I can resolve this problem with versions of labview works correctly?
Thanks in advanc.
The LabVIEW and VISA compatibility chart is here. As you can see, there is no version of NI-VISA which is compatible with the two 2012 and your old 6.1. Indeed, the graphic poster not only any version of older than 7.1.1 LabvIEW.

Fusion and Parallels on the same computer?
A few months ago, I went from Fuiosn 3.0 to Parallels 5 mainly to see if Parallels would be faster on my iMac (it was). I like parallel, but all-in-all, I liked the Fusion experience, better, I used a little unity and Fusion felt less intrusive on Mac. So finally my question: is it possible to install Parallels and Fusion on the same machine, without a lot of interference between them, since they have both fact their integration with MAC OS X. I do not really want to run them at the same time, but just have both installed, so I can try one and then the other. I'm guessing it's something stupid and prone to problems, but I wanted to see if anyone else had tried, and what has been their experience.
I tried to search but the only things I found were in 2007 and 2008.
I have two Parallels and VMware Fusion installed on my MacBook Pro and have no problem having both installed at the same time however I have not run them at the same time, neither do I.

How can I reinstall Adobe CS5 on the same computer
I use Adobe Production Premium Suite on two computers. I need a procedure to reinstall Adobe Premiere and Media Encoder CS5 on the teacher's computer and the first CS5 on the other. Media Encoder stop working on one, and remains active as a process first, after that I have to unload it on the other. Whenever I use it, it continues to consume up to 25% of my CPU time. If I run it three times, then three instances of it remains active until 75% of the time processor.
I need a procedure to uninstall and reinstall the programs mentioned above. I was told that I have to disable and uninstall the Adobe complete Suite Production CS5 and recharge even. I was hoping just to reinstall the defective programs.
All the advice:

Hello
I'm waiting for version CS5 student to arrive via UPS, in the meantime the target computer has CS2 on it. Can I leave CS2 on and always install CS5?
Thank you
Foto
Yes, the two will coexist peacefully together, and it's actually a good idea to leave it installed. The only thing is that you can't actually run both at the same time.
But with CS2 still on your computer, you have the option to go back and check things in the app you are used, which can be given when setting up a new work the way you want. And it can be a help for you if you arrive just something to work directly in CS5.
If you have disk space there is really no reason to ever remove CS2. If we leave it in there, you can, for example, in the future helping people who have CS2 questions on this forum.

CC of Photoshop and CS6 on the same computer...
I'm sorry, if this question was already asked on the forum.
I have already installed extended CS6... I want to open a trial CC account. Can I use the trial version of Photoshop with the CS6 CC at the same time on one computer?
And a second question, is that one version of CC, is there? I mean, there is no standard or extended for CC version, there is only one CC?
Yes and Yes. Different versions can co-exist peacefully and from the CC of the PS, there is only one version of the PS.

Can I get waterfox and firefox on the same computer
I now use firefox 9.0 32-bit, then I install waterfox 9.0 and still use firefox. I have windows 7 32 & 64 bit
Just make sure you install each version of a separate program folder (make an installation customized if necessary) and that you use a separate profile for each version folder.
I don't know if Waterfox uses the same profiles.ini file to save profiles that Firefox works, but in case it then make sure to create a new profile.

LabView 8.5 and 2010 on the same computer running XP?
Is it possible to install two version 8.5 and 2010 on the XP machine? And then work on some projects in Labview 8.5 and on other projects in Labview 2010 without a conflict?
What about device drivers? What version of DAQ driver will work in both versions of Labview?
Thanks a lot for any insite.
Rita
Always install older versions first. Some SDK don't play well with several versions of LabVIEW. With regard to the acquisition of data: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/F4E76EC05118F72D8625773000672298
