CS3 Se blocks on "save under" in Windows XP

Someone at - it met this and have a solution. I can't use the command "save under" like CS3 crashes whenever I try to edit the destination record.

There is a fix I found by google. Try disabling version cue CS3 preferences. Here is the link. Can solve it?

    Looks like there could be a problem with the hard drive. its certainly worth running some tests on if possible. It is a dell machine you may be able to run a hard drive test when the computer starts by using the f8 key, but if not you must download a free software called theultimatebootcd and burn it to a cd and then start the computer on the cd and use the software on the disk to perform checks on the hard drive.     Looks like you somehow accidentally active the option print to file in the Advanced Options print dialogue. Uncheck that and this problem should go away.

    I think maybe it's a coincidence, that nothing is installed with ExportPDF, so nothing should have changed your web browser. That said, you can clear the cache of the browser and then re-open your browser. (What browser do you use?)

    You can also try to restart your computer, if the browser is restarted does not solve the problem. But still, I don't think that this problem is related to the ExportPDF.

  • The window "save under" Photoshop cannot be resized?

    The window pop up when you try to do a "save under" in Photoshop went full screen which is very annoying, and I can't find a way to resize it. By dragging the corners do nothing.,

    Maybe it's a problem of Windows rather than Photoshop, but it only happens in PS so I hope someone can help me here.

    Does anyone know how to resize this window?

    With the Save As window, double-click anywhere in the top bar, between the words "save under" and X. It should be smaller.

    Ditto for GIFS and others (you get preview however option). I think that is the general modus operandi of Photoshop - like they key features of the file, such as layers, channels, etc. color mode can be kept by the destination format, you can "save under" the file but your document in memory will not be a real nice of your file on the disk until explicitly closed and re - open. I'm not sure that break this paradigm just for your specific format would be worth the effort.

Now, I can only 'open' or 'save' When I click on 'save', all files go to the default download folder. I then have to open the Explorer, search for the folder and the file, and then cut and paste into the appropriate folder. A heavy treatment!

    Options > general > downloads >or save files to 'Browse' [I always use Desktop], or always ask me where to save files.

    I do work for my business and I need to do what is essentially the stop-motion animation... I have my Basic .psd file, I move a layer inside slightly, save it as a .jpeg and repeat. Repeat, repeat and repeat.

    However, it takes much too long to get through dialogue "save under", change the file name and change the type of file in jpeg every time.

    I don't know anything about scripting (writing OR using them), but I've read it's the solution to my problem here... a script that will save a jpeg copy of my file .psd with a new name.

    In addition, it would be GREAT if that can be assigned to a key or combination of keys... as I hit him command + ~ and it runs the script.

    You can create an action to call the script
    Start recording a new action and in the dialog box action palette select "Insert Menu Item" then file - Scripts and select the script.

    This action can be given a function key to run it.

    Another way is to create your own keyboard shortcuts:
    Edit - keyboard shortcuts - file, go down until you see the script and assign your own shortcuts.

    On first use, it will let you choose the suffix bib.
    The files will be saved as OriginalFileName #0001.jpg OriginalFileName #0002.jpg etc...
    The files will be saved in the same folder as the original document.

    This first script is necessary to reset the counter to zero, when you want to work on the following document.

  • CS5 save for Web doesn't let me save in the Windows volume

    I have a Windows Server 2003 volume mounted via the Services for Macintosh (AFP, SMB, no I'm pretty sure). Even if the Mac and the Windows volume can control independent of filenames longer than 31 characters, due to the sustainable management of FORESTS (I guess) I've never been able to record directly from any application to this volume of Windows with a > 31 char filename. This has never been a problem that I kept my short file names.

    After installing just CS5, however, save for Web is not let me save any file, no matter how the nickname: "names of more than 31 characters only are not supported on the destination volume. I can't save for the Web very well on my desktop and save under... the volume of Windows, but not save for Web for Windows volume.

    The save for Web is set to 'Pictures' only (no slices so it's only to create a single file).

    Any thoughts? Known issue?

    Maybe that's part of what happens (and is not something like our names, internal files or anything else I recognize).

    It's probably something internal to save dialog box (NavagationServicesSavePanel), and it assumes that the file systems will be able to handle the long names.

    Again, via SMB to connect to the server may remove part of the restrictions.

    CS3/4 was based on carbon and used the different APIs for a large part of the file structure.

    CS5 moved to cocoa and has a new set of API files to process.

    As you know the shortcut "save under" in the context menu's 'v', no?
    Since I use it quite often, I would change to "l" for easier when accessibility also having to press "enter" then. I used to be able to do this by editing the file en - US.jar, but in the new versions of Firefox, this file is not found.

    Unfortunately Google is not currently much of a help either.
    In addition, I don't want an add-on or plugin, I just want to be able to change the keyboard shortcut.

    Does anyone know of a way that this can be achieved in the new versions of Firefox?

    I think that the .jar file, you are probably looking for is compressed with others in the omni.ja file. We had a thread last year where a user has successfully changed this file to change some keyboard shortcuts, but I have not tried it myself.     When 'file' - select 'print' on the tabs of Mozilla, it doesn't. The print menu appears, but when 'print' clicked, the menu box "save under" appears. When "save under" is closed, a dialog box appears saying "unknown error during printing. Cannot print Web page unless a screen saver (ie the entire screen). This has happened only recently (update may). Tried it on Windows Explorer and all is ok

    After checking the problem existed in all places - found silly finger pain. When selecting 'print' noticed "Selected printer" had been changed from my normal i865 of "Microsoft Office Document Image Writer"!

    • If "Save files" is selected, all files will save the location shown without the intervention of the user.
    • If 'Always ask me where to save files' is selected, the user can choose the location and change the name of the saved file.

    -Send an email to someone
    -SMS to someone
    -Open in the browser

    So, I did the third. He then asked me: "native browser or Firefox? The native browser these back on the market.

    Expected result: I assumed that Firefox would have done the same thing.
    Result: Firefox displayed a large block of ugly text.

    And there is no function "save under" so I can record it and open it from there! Where is the Save function under? I don't want to save as a PDF, I just save the file as I downloaded it.

    Sorry, there is no command "save the Page under" mobile Firefox menu. If you know a web page with a link to the file, you can press and hold on the link and choose 'Save link'.

    Normally the Firefox would automatically record an APK file and allow you to install it, but it requires the web server send the correct "Content-type" header. Some web servers do not send header and Firefox does not know the file type. We will try to improve this experience in future versions.
