  One thing that is disturbing in this regard is that you can save your project and automatic backup but not knowing that your project is now corrupted. We really have to go through the extra step to save and then close the project and then reopen just to make sure we have a secure copy?

  You can try to import the project into a new project.

  I know it's too late for these tips now, but never rely on backup automatically in any software application.  Always save an as you progress, as well as backup copies.

  I have a desltop installed SP3 x 64 XP and a laptop with seven x 64 SP1. In both the machine that my backups fail. I'm trying to back up data by using boats to storage, backup Windows also is failling. I'm taking a full backup on a USB external drive (2 TB).

  I did "vssadmin list writers" and showing several writers are in the failed State.

  I've done SFC/scannow, it did not help. There is no error in the disk and Chkdsk.

  I don't know how VSS works and how to solve the problem. Help, please!

  Before you stat is working on this issue make sure that the volumes have no system disk/file error. Run Chkdsk and ensure.

  (1) in the case of a failure of backup/writer, we first check the drivers associated with the VSS backup.

  These drivers are:

  VOLSNAP. SYS

  NTFS. SYS

  SWPRV. DLL

  -Check the version of above mentioned MS 3 files and update using MS Hotfix.

  If we have installed other suppliers, who might be the supplier of StorageCraft, Symantec suppliers and suppliers of Acronis, he must ensure that their files are also updated.

  Note: You can see the list of suppliers using this command: VSSADMIN LIST PROVIDERS

  Some of the DRIVERS PROVIDER commonly find are:

  Now when we do vssadmin list providers, we will see only the default Microsoft provider.

  I have seen in many cases where our supplier of StorageCraft may not work properly and continue of not not the authors. In such

  case, if we get rid of the supplier, then the issue is resolved and not re occurs.

  -However this would impede the functionality of StoaregCraft or any other similar to this backup software.

  That's why to engage respective software tech support for further assistance.

  (5) If a shadow copy is enabled on the volume, make sure that the storage area is set to the default location.

  For example:

  If we take a snapshot of C: then the storage area should be C:

  We are changing that, if we do not have enough free space (at least 300 MB) free.

  We can click with the right button on the volume, goto the cliché tab and change it accordingly.

  Also note that the minimum value of the storage area should be 300 MB and maximum can be 3000 MB.

  We can also set any value between the two, which is a multiple of 300, 600, 900, 1200, 1500 etc... According to the available space.

  In the cases where errors in the event viewer on wait times (event id: 12298, 12310, 2004, 12290) then we also need to put the MinDiffArea in the registry.

  I think that affected versions of Windows Explorer (we have a card in the laptop, which I believe is the origin of the problem) so that it is more load. I would like to switch to Firefox, but do not know how to load it without exploring. My Google Earth goes to internet and my e-mail program (Mozilla Thunderbird) still work so the wireless connection still works, but Explorer does not work. Can anyone help?   The ASR (automated system recovery) tool must have a disk for restoration purposes. The best option, if you really want to use ASR, is a floppy of USB external as suggested by chrisamiller.

  Each creation unique cc I'm including my prj auto backup files will be will not load project file. I get the error message "the project seems to be damaged, it cannot be opened". This is for all my projects first cc. I uninstalled and reinstalled first with nothing doesn't. Is that what I can do in order to recover these corrupted files and work and effort associated with them?

  Sorry to hear that you are having these problems.

  One thing worth visiting in CC:

  1. Create a new project
  2. in Media Browser, go to the old project. When you double-click it, you will be able to see all the content - sequences, bins, active...
  3. try to import clips one by one. (I recommend saving after each successful import.)

  In this way, you can sometimes gain access to most or all of the content published in a project that can be opened on its own.

  For some reason, every record and AutoSave (7 files in all) made was currupted on the modification date. Editing on a Macbook Pro, possibly gray screen is crushed.

  Corrected it by correcting the "scratch disks" path by using a text editor.

  I recently installed DW CS4 - and began to use it to change some existing CFM pages that are served from a CF8 Developer Edition Server on my local machine.
  
  Whenever I have save a page with a tag inside cfabort, DW rewritten the page and adds extra code after the tag of the demolition, and he repeats it whenever the document is saved - meaning that it continues to add text with each new backup.
  
  I thought that it would be the server - so I tried to change the code using an old copy of the CFStudio - and he not changed by the CF8 server - so I'm leaning towards DWCS4 with a problem of somesort saving files directly on my hard drive in the directory of servers...
  
  No matter who else facing this problem or better yet - knows a solution?
  
  I've tried searching using Dreamweaver corrupt files and has not had a great success.

  Update:

  A call to Adobe technical support solves the problem.

  Apparently something was incorrectly installed during installation. (Very useful) technician walked me through the removal of certain directories and the registry change.

  After a quick restart - the problem seems to have been fixed.

• Photoshop automatically opens too many projects

  I work on a laptop HP G62 with addition to the Windows 7 home page. When I open Photoshop 2015 it automatically opens 4 of my previous projects (most of them were the first projects I opened after update to Photoshop 2015. When I close one of them or any new project that I can work on the whole program stops. How can I avoid these projects to open automatically or to prevent the closure of Photoshop?

  It sounds like Photoshop has crashed at one point in time and there is ASR files created before the crash.   When Photoshop is open after the crash, that it automatically opens the recovery files so you can recover a large part of you work. Only what you were doing after the last automatic backup and the accident will be lost.  However, you must save that recover you in a format of image file and close the document in Photoshop, so that the recovery of the recovery file is deleted.

  Close Photoshop and use the Windows Control Panel folder Options feature to set the option of defining view so you can see the folder and the files that are hidden in Windows by default.  Then use Windows file explore to watch your normally hidden user ID files.  Glance for this path. "C:\Users\Your user ID\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop version as 'Adobe Photoshop CC 2014' \AutoRecover\' delete any file is in this folder.  On a Windows machine, the \AutoRecover folder is also if you doe do not find the way I described research that leads you to the AutoRecover file to remove any PSB file found in them. For example I open Photoshop CC 2014 and a new document open for a longer period then the AutoSave time so there will be a recover the file in my folder of this file AutoRecover.

  

  If Photoshop continues to plant, there is a good chance there may be be recovery files.  You need to know why Photoshop freezes and stops.  Glance are your historic windows of reliability and details for Photoshop crashes.  You can find out what causes Photoshop to crash.

• Too small print in Photoshop CS4 with HP 8500 printer all in one

  I am running Windows XP with CS4 and the latest patches and drivers.  When I print a picture on my HP 8500 all in one printer, the print is too small.  Instead of an image to 4 x 6 centered in the page, I have a 1 x 1-1/4 inch small characters of the image in the upper left corner.

  I have re-installed CS3 and it works perfectly, just like any other print, such as word options, etc.  But Photoshop CS4, I find no way to print to this printer without the image reduced in size.  If I print to a different printer during the same session, the image is fine.  Therefore, a single PS CS4 vs HP 8500 problem I guess.

  I see this post in other forms and no help yet.  Someone at - it of it on their radar.  I really like this printer, but it's pretty boring.

  Furthermore, if I print to PDF from PS CS4, the image of the pdf file is fine.  It's an another end around for printing also. HMMMM.

  I contacted HP and they put the issue squarely on Adobe.  No partnership.

  Hi danielecb!

  Unfortunately, I do not believe it is possible to change your backup to the time settings. To prevent synchronization right there and projects is to disable wifi (once you have connected, of course!). However, once you turn back on wi - fi, projects will be synchronized automatically.

  Please share this feature with team request by typing "give us feedback" from the app menu. It would be great if you could provide a circumstance of workflow specific when synchronization is not your project is in your favor.
