Creation of corrupted CC project including automatic backup files

Each creation unique cc I'm including my prj auto backup files will be will not load project file. I get the error message "the project seems to be damaged, it cannot be opened". This is for all my projects first cc. I uninstalled and reinstalled first with nothing doesn't. Is that what I can do in order to recover these corrupted files and work and effort associated with them?

Sorry to hear that you are having these problems.

One thing worth visiting in CC:

  1. Create a new project
  2. in Media Browser, go to the old project. When you double-click it, you will be able to see all the content - sequences, bins, active...
  3. try to import clips one by one. (I recommend saving after each successful import.)

In this way, you can sometimes gain access to most or all of the content published in a project that can be opened on its own.

    Karthikeyan devalla.

    Karthikeyan Devalla,
    Here are the instructions to remove some of the restore points using disk cleanup.  Your system is configured to record everything automatically on your computer at periodic points so if you need to restore your system files will be there.  But sometimes, you get more restore points that you want or need and he can eat a lot of disk space.  Here's how to control this.

    You can use Disk Cleanup to remove points of restoration and the free space on the hard disk on your computer.

    Disk removes the cleanup all but the last restore point on your computer. In some editions of Windows Vista, restore points can include previous versions of files. Previous versions are also deleted.

    1. open Disk Cleanup by clicking the Start button, tap all programs, accessories, click System Tools, and then click Disk Cleanup.

    2. in the Disk Cleanup Options dialog box, click files from all users on this computer.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    3. If prompted, select the drive you want to clean, and then click OK.

    4. click the other Options tab.

    5. under System Restore and shadow copies, click Clean up, and then, in the confirmation dialog box, click on delete.

    6. If you want to continue using disk cleanup for other drives on your computer, click the Disk Cleanup tab. To quit Disk Cleanup, click Cancel.

  • Use the automatic backup? If so, what are the settings?

    Bob ten recommended to disable the automatic backup in PP CS4 about a year on Creative Cow. Questions had been report there, he said.

    What should I do? I have lost assets somehow for the first half of a 30-minute project, went into the automatic backup file only to find out that the default of the PP is only 5 automatic saves every 20 minutes. Fortunately, I was able to get the first half of the return project by importing a backup that I did yesterday, and the important in the affected project and copying assets (I was wondering if it is wise to put everything in a new project where the project file is corrupted).

    Automatic backup sounds like a good idea. If you agree, what the parameters for what would you recommend? I "Ctrl-S" after almost all the changes I make in the timeline. but I never know what might happen at the beginning of the timeline, if I work at the end - accidents as a mouse hangs up while I'm trying do drag an asset on the timeline and unintentionally damage assets at the beginning of the timeline (why mouse hang up, anyway? Is - this sweating on hand? Stressed memory? Having bridge, AE and PP open at the same time? I've got 12 GB, but it's so boring.).

    Your expertise is greatly appreciated.

    Paul

    Paul,

    I wonder what prompted Bob seem not to use AutoSave. I didn't get a lot of negative, when it is properly configured and then used reports correctly. I leave the default setting of backup 5 automatically @ 5 min. intervals. However, I also use Save, Save_As and Save_As_a_Copy on many projects. They are all similar, but there are differences. This ARTICLE will give you general information. When you know how everyone is different, you can then determine a workflow, what suits you and your needs.

    If I do a particularly difficult project, I could also 'archive' some recording automatic folders and files with a copy, just for guard duty. However, with the right combo from the different options of backup, it also will be those who backup automatically extra too.

    Now, it seems that Adobe changed the functions of automatic backup, but I was not able to confirm this. At the same time, AutoSave was smart enough. If we did not no Assembly, AutoSave would not be invoked at the interval, only with editing and changes. Somewhere along the way, it seems that AutoSave now ONLY works with the interval, so that if we let the machine for an hour, they find themselves with 5 automatic registration in duplicate in the folder. Personally, I liked the "old way" much, much better. Who needs 5 (or anything that is chosen) duplicate PRPROJ files? Maybe something in the code forced Adobe to 'dumb down' AutoSave?

    As a side note, you lose certain assets. I have a policy - never use goods initially in my projects - only Copies, the originals on my NAS. Capture to miniDV Tape files is an exception, I do not reuse the tapes and could always re - enter, if necessary. Also, don't forget that the PRPROJ file does not contain any media (titles are a limited exception) and ONLY links to this media.

    Good luck

  • First Pro CC automatic backup doesn't work does not correctly

    I've seen this discussion before, but have not found all the other answers that "you must manually saved all along.  Of course, Yes, I do this and it obviously helps.

    BUT it is a function in the program that is not working properly and can cost serious people.  I have several projects where I work and have interrupted by the automatic backup feature, but when I search the files it will create, they are not found.  Not in the same folder as my project, not in an Adobe first Pro Auto-Save folder and cannot locate it anywhere on the hard drive.  Just to clarify, I want to save local talk, not the cloud option.

    My question is twofold.  First of all, others seem to feel the same, but I have not seen Adobe weigh or recognize this bug.  And two, if there is a difficulty, I think it would be much more sensible to save your automatic backup on a different drive files so that if your primary drive fails, you can withdraw the last Autosave and continue.  So the possibility of designating where will your automatic backup files would be useful.  Does make sense for someone else?

    My apologies if this has not been formatted well, or I should have answered in another thread.  This is my first post.

    Thank you all,

    Dave

    Pouvez choose you where go the automatic backup of the files:

    File > project settings > disks work

    Go there and you should see where the Auto stores are, and you can change the location.

    The AutoSave feature has always been flaky, but it seems to work fine for me in the last version of CC.

  • You can change the location of the automatic backup folder after creating a project on the first CC 2015?

    Trying to figure out from there is a way to change the location of the automatic backup folder after a project has already been created and the location of the automatic backup has been chosen. The reason for this is because we have an active work with a project that has been meet with an "unknown error" while he was trying to save on our server and also prevents form Auto-Save save projects. After you create a new project on the disk of the local computer and the Auto-Save in the same place, we decided later that we could like and the Auto-Save to live on two separate discs. I was wondering if there is a way to move the AutoSave folder without having to make a whole new project and copy everything on him. I searched through previous assignments, and even if current discussions focus on setting up an automatic backup location, I can't find all the topics related to the evolution of a current configuration.

    Thank you

    You just go to the project settings dialog box and change when the AutoSave file is defined.

    A couple of things about the Auto-save...

    -It waits a few seconds in action, so if you have a busy beaver editor constantly change things he could not AutoSave for quite a while...

    -automatic backup fact that both 'levels' it is wise to use Save-as to increment your project as you advance. So you can be sure that if you are on the last edit to the project AND... If corruption occurs, you have previous increments of work regardless of their deletion.

  • PDM file with automatic backup on corrupts the data.

    When I test data stream into a file to PDM using AutoSave = true, data is corrupted in the 'package' #3 and beyond.

    I write matched double/DateTime data to a TDMS file configured as TdmsWaveformLayout.PairedTimeAndSampleChannels.

    When I try to read the PDM file, for example using the sample application to drive, I get all sorts of errors. Notably, the number of timestamps is not equal the number of samples (values y). More data is corrupted. In other words, the timestamps are invalid and the sample data is essentially random.

    This happens every time I write the third package/lot and beyond. If I write a single sample, followed by another single sample, the third will be corrupted. If I write 1 kilosample, followed by 1 kilosample, sample no. # 2001 will be corrupted.

    I guess that something is very wrong in the automatic backup routine, as data are always written correctly when I explicitly save the PDM file.

    It's using MS 8.9.0.246 in Visual Studio 2008 SP1 using .NET framework 3.5 SP1 on Windows 7.

    The TDMS file is created in the following way. Note that AutoSave is set to false to avoid the bug.

    TdmsFile f = new TdmsFile (tdmsFilename, new TdmsFileOptions (TdmsFileFormat.Version20, TdmsFileAccess.ReadWrite, true, TdmsByteOrder.Native));
    f.AutoSave = false; Must not be set to = TRUE because of a bug in Measurement Studio!

    TdmsChannelGroupCollection channelGroups = f.GetChannelGroups ();
    ChannelGroup TdmsChannelGroup = new TdmsChannelGroup (...) Unique ID...) ;
    channelGroups.Add (channelGroup);

    f.Save (); Needed when AutoRecovery is set to false.

    TdmsChannelCollection tdmsChannels = channelGroup.GetChannels ();
    foreach (IDicomInstance instance in series. Instances)
    {
    tdmsChannels.Add (new TdmsChannel (string. Format ("{0} (time) ', for example.") Signal.Name), TdmsDataType.DateTime));
    tdmsChannels.Add (new TdmsChannel (string. Format ("{0}", for example.) Signal.Name), TdmsDataType.Double));
    }
    channelGroup.WaveformLayout = TdmsWaveformLayout.PairedTimeAndSampleChannels;

    Every 10 ms, a double array [100] happens (with information in a DateTime table clock [100]). The data is stored in the file TDMS in a simple way:

    AnalogWaveform wf = AnalogWaveform. FromArray1D (sample. Data.Samples);
    WF. Timing = WaveformTiming.CreateWithIrregularInterval (sample. Data.Timing);
    WF. ChannelName = sample. Source.Name;
    WF. UnitDescription = sample. Source.UnitOfMeasurement;

    ChannelGroup = _tdmsFile.GetChannelGroup (... TdmsChannelGroup Unique ID...) ;
    TdmsChannel channel = channelGroup.GetChannel (... channel... name);
    channelGroup.AppendAnalogWaveform(channel, wf);
    channelGroup.Parent.Save (); Needed when AutoRecovery is set to false.

    This is what the TDMS file looks like in the sample player application:

    For those who can run in it before we are able to get a fix on, a viable solution is to turn off auto-save and save the TDMS file any time a change to the file is made manually, such as after adding channels or groups, or write data.  This will not negatively affect performance, because that's exactly what the property of automatic backup.

    It should also be noted that this problem arises when you use the layout of the TdmsWaveformLayout.PairedTimeAndSampleChannels waveform.

    I'll post back later when we have a fix for this problem.

    Sorry for the inconvenience that this may cause,

  • Automatic backups made in libraries that are not yet open?

    I'm familiar enough with FCPro X (using the latest version 10.2.3) but I saw something for this, I don't really want.

    I hope I'm wrong!  That's why I write here

    When we are editing in a library, FCPro is automatic backup library every 10 or 15 minutes or more. (Don't know how many times, but not important here.)

    It's a good idea that Apple did this.  Always nice to have automatically saved versions.

    But what I found, is if we said, 10 different projects, we are working on--which means 10 different libraries on our hard drive FCPro creates these libraries for backup automatically on all 10 libraries!  Even if we have not opened a library for 6 months, it still gets automatic backups!

    Sometimes the backup of the library can be 30meg, or so, if we are changing for 3 hours - find us in each of the 10 libraries there are several automatic backups created - even you of course, nothing has changed in the library!  Maybe 8 of the 10 have not yet opened and yet in the "Final Cut Backups" folder, there will be a few hundred meg of backups automatically: of course it must, because backups are in libraries, we haven't yet opened!

    I know not how to disable this feature - so FCPro stops auto - and we can do separately in each library - but that's a lot of extra work, remembering that libraries are "automatically backup" and which are not.

    I guess I want to come is that we would like FCPro continue to automatically back up the libraries that we change in French - but I'm correct that it also backs up the libraries that we don't even open using hundreds of megs of useless data.

    All I want is the feature of works as is, but only when opening a library - NOT in others who have not been affected.

    I am writing to be sure I understand it.  This doesn't seem to be the case?  Is there a way to tell FCPro (not for each library separately) only to make automatic backups in I work in libraries?

    Thank you for reading this... what I hope I am WRONG!  And there is a workaround or something?  It's just a nuisance to have to remember to turn on all the automatic backups on 'OFF' of each library - but then activate it when you work on 1 or 2 - and then turn them off again.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you

  • My iPad is no longer the automatic backups in icloud. When I try to do it manually it gives me an error message

    Automatic backup on icloud no longer works. When I try to run it manually it gives me an error message

    Please check that your device is correctly connected to the wireless internet (settings > wifi) and is plugged into a power source, check also that you have enough space in iCloud for your back upward.

    You can check the space available in settings > iCloud > storage and the space needed for the next backup to the settings > iCloud > storage > managing storage > backups > appliance > Back Up Options > next backup size (wait for the spinning until the gear icon).

    Assuming that you are eligible for iCloud upward, you should try a forced first stop, hold down the buttons side in top and home together until the unit stops, then restart by pressing the side/up button.

    Then, try to connect the device to a new location (different WiFi network)

    If your backup continues to fail, you can try to disable the backup on your mobile device (settings > iCloud > BackUp), reboot the device and then turn on BackUp on new.

    If it does not help disable backup again, remove your existing back to the top of the settings > iCloud > storage > managing storage > backup > appliance (scroll down) > delete backup, restart the device and then turn on BackUp.

    If you are unable to make a return to the top, try to connect on iCloud (settings > iCloud (scroll down) > Sign Out (you will need to enter your password at this point), restart the device and sign in iCloud to settings > iCloud.)

    The next thing to try would be to restore your network settings. (Settings > General > reset > reset network settings)

    Reset your network settings will erase your cell phones and wireless network settings, including saved networks, passwords for wifi and VPN settings, that you can use. It will affect to the Internet but will not be an impact on telephone services because these settings are automatically configured by your carrier. It may take a few moments to enter again all your network settings, but it shouldn't cause you any major problems. If you are comfortable re - enter your network settings, you can try this step earlier in the troubleshooting procedure, i.e. after the forced shutdown suggested above.

    If this does not help, try to disable some elements for the back upward in a model to try to establish if your problem is caused by specific data on your device. You can do it with settings > iCloud > storage > managing storage > backup > this device > Back Up Options.

    If you are still not able to perform a backup from iCloud, you can try to restore your phone which you should do by making an iTunes backup via your computer and restore from that.

    Be able to go back to the cloud can be very useful, especially if you have access to a computer or rarely have access to one, however unless you need specifically to use iCloud to go back, you'll find a backup on iTunes much more convenient and possibly more reliable. However if you save up to iTunes be sure to encrypt the back upward if you want to keep your data on health and passwords etc.

  • Windows 7: Windows Fax and Scan - can't get it to automatic backup to a network

    We use Windows Fax and Scan (Version 6.1 Build 7601: Service Pack 1)-this is the version included with our client for 32-bit Windows 7 Enterprise OS

    I just installed a scanner in a sleep laboratory, scanner works perfectly. There are several sleep technicians that will connect to a computer with the scanner (so short of several user profiles) and patient scan RXs.  Problem is that sleep manager wants the scans to record automatically in a central location for any technology connects in their analyses will record in the same place as everyone else.

    The key is the AUTOMATIC backup.

    This is so the news of background - at the heart of the question... it seems a feature that offers Windows Fax and Scan does not work.

    If you go in fax and scan, there is an option in the tools of-> Scan routing.  If you read on the functionality of its supposed to save AUTOMATICALLY in the network shown, its not to do so.

    So I check the box 'Save in the network folder' (don't know the exact wording)

    (I use xxx because I don't want to publicly share real location) \\xxx\xxxxx\xxxxx\Neuromuscular.

    This is 100% valid and share name of work - used for years many people save to it... Windows Fax and Scan says "sharing network not valid."

    If someone said just use \\server\share

    OK I create a folder on my computer, we'll call it Computer1 and name sharefolder. I share and give "everyone" access read/write... sharing is \\Computer1\Sharefolder.

    Plug in Windows Fax and Scan - it don't be complaint that it is a bad sharing more. So I think that a lot!

    I scan a test page - this isn't automatic registration to \\computer1\sharefolder.  I can come here, but that defeats the whole point of the analysis of routing.

    Sleep lab will be scanning hundreds of slips of Rx by day, management won't allow lost time by manual movement of the images to the save location.

    Any help is greatly appreciated. Got to be honest I'm a little irritated right now because I think its Microsoft as announced a feature in one of their applications is not working.

    Thank you

    Windows 7 Pro, Premiere Pro CC 2015.3, NewBlueFX titration Pro 4 worm. 4.0.160712
    Titler Pro 4 is open within Premiere Pro and I'm working on a title.  Premiere Pro has its AutoSave function and crashes.  I can close the Pro 4 titration module, but Premiere Pro is frozen.  The alert window appears that let's me close out of Premiere Pro or wait (into eternity) so he can address himself.  In any case, it is suspended and I crash on Premiere Pro.

    I don't have the product of NewBlue, but I recommend to disable the automatic backup and make your own Save/Save As operations manually after the closure of titration Pro.  If it helps, I've not used automatic backup in more than a decade.  I create several versions of my project to help save money, and I save a lot and I really good backups.

  • Automatic backup function is a liar?

    So my computer just Blue filtered about 16:30 and my main file is time stamped 13:06 today. I have an auto save which is timestamped at 15:33 today. Sure thing. Thanks for the reply so fast.

    The accident (a memory allocation problem) happened trying to save an Illustrator file and bringing it first to the forefront

    Have backward pass you between applications? There may be a bug registered for this kind of behavior. However, you can report a bug for this action, as well?

    About the automatic backup, in general, I don't trust it in any NLE. I learned to not rely on this topic. I don't know why, but the function can be finicky, any program you use.

    The right thing to do is, of course, let Auto Save its backups. It is supposed to work. However, you must create your own backup vault for the flies of your project by duplicating the project file or by using the Save as function. If you do this several times a day, you will always have a working upwards if your automatic backup is working correctly or not.

    That said, I hope that we can improve our automatic backup. It should work perfectly. Sorry to hear that he has let you down.

    Thank you
