CS4 Extended VERY slow to open program! ???

I just dropped a very large sum to buy CS4 Extended and the $ # * @# thing is taking over 5 minutes to open! (Yes, I timed it.) Once opened it seems to work very well, even if I do have to say things through she pacing a lot.  The obvious answer would be that I have a slow computer that is too small.  However, it is far from being the case. I have a new Dell laptop with a lot of "horses", much more than the system requirements listed outside of the box.  It does the same thing with the version both 64-bit and 32-bit.

Here are some of the "vital" on the laptop:

Operating system: Windows Vista 64 - bit Version: 6.0 Service Pack 1
Processor Core Duo2: 2493 MHz
Graphics card: GeForce VIDI 250 MB of 8600 M GT/PCI/SSE2
Built-in memory: 4093 MB
Image cache level: 4
Hard drive: 500G

Everyone knows about this problem? If Yes, what you did to solve it.  Needless to say, I'm VERY VERY disappointed at this stage. I had before PS7 and should have stuck with it!

Thanks for your help

Also update your system. SP2 for Vista is now released and is a huge upgrade in terms of size. Please install first.

    One possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or limits Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

    Delete all rules for Firefox in the list of permissions in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

  • El capitan 10.11.3 very slow to open anything.

    I just 'upgraded' from 10.7.5 to 10.11.3.

    This slowed my MacBook Pro (2010) by doing anything.

    I had TO update because I bought an iPhone 6 and she needed a newer version of iTunes.

    Now, the MacBook is very slow to open anything - 'pages' 'number' ' safari - and Web sites.  Strangely, once in a website, it's normal, he's going from page to page as fast as before.

    Can anyone help please?

    As you have made the leap from an older operating system by, is it old software that requires an update to function properly.

    Also, you have enough RAM, the specifications for El Capitan said 2Gbs but 4Gbs is more realistic and of course more IS more.

    You have applications that start at the start of Mac, maybe you don't need them running.

    Anti Virus and 'cleaning up' apps are not necessary.

    You can download this small http://etrecheck.com/ application that checks your system and then paste the report here

    then folk can take a look and perhaps draw some conclusions as to why it is slow.

  • Some slow to open programs

    Hello

    I had a brief look at various forums and did not find everything that contributes to date, so this is.

    My main problem is that some programs (Windows Media Player, Panel, Nexus Mod Manager to name a few) are extremely slow to open. By slow, we're talking up to five minutes. My boot time itself is fast, and the computer runs fast at any other time. My machine is a PC game and very good material, that is specified in the lower part. I use Glary Utilities to regularly clean up the drives, registry clean and defrag etc and I have very few programs to run at startup. None of this solves the problem.

    If any other information is needed please ask and I'll give you.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hello

    I use Glary Utilities to clean regularly drives, registry clean.

    This could be the cause of your problem. Microsoft does not recommend the use of registry cleaners as they can cause insoluble problems on your computer. Glary Utilities has all the backups of the registry before the "clean"?

    Download CCleaner from here. Once installed, open it and head over to the Tools tab, and then select start. In the lower right corner, select Save in the text file and select a name for it. Open the saved document and display its content in your next reply. As-well as. Click the 'clean' tab, keep all the boxes to check it and press run cleaner.

    Another possibility, is that you can have malicious software installed on your computer. In addition, I recommend that you download and run the programs below and delete all that they detect.

    Malwarebytes Anti-Malware - http://malwarebytes.org

    AdwCleaner - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner

  • Very slow to open the components Panel

    The site I am building a lot of image assets. Whenever I open the active panel, it takes a minute or more to open. I use a macbook pro retina 2015 with 16 GB of ram and a processor i7. All other applications work like a charm, but Adobe Muse really needs a lot of work in terms of stability and performance. The new version is especially very slow. I think Adobe Muse needs to work on the bug fixes and performance at this stage and constantly release new features first.

    Hi Preran,

    In fact, I have download the latest version last night and I am pleased to announce that the question was indeed fixed in this new construction. Kudos to the team for a job well done! This is good progress. But the active panel still need a lot of work. I have not to mention them here and create a new thread for this private place in the beta program. Thanks for your help!

  • Dynamic form is very slow to open and edit

    I hope that someone could take a few minutes and see if they could help understand me why this form is so slow) 1 open, 2) add a new line, and 3) select a customer in the drop-down list box in the column 'CUSTOMER '. I tried to remove the numbering of the pages in the case of page layout: ready and that doesn't help all the performance. I don't have a lot of calculations and a lot of resolveNodes, but I don't think I have any other way to perform these calculations without them. If someone could point me in the right direction.

    The form is here:

    https://Acrobat.com/#d=pBkuyHMzab36bS4N0U9VEg

    .. and if you open it in Acrobat or Reader first, you'll see what I mean. It is not as slow as a preview in Livecycle because all data entered is gone.

    Thanks for any help.

    JO

    Hello

    I would try to remove the appeals of two resolveNodes and two point Jono example methods and see if that helped, then;

    var result = 0;

    lines of the var = this.resolveNodes ("ItemSet [*]");

    for (var i = 0, limit = rows.length; i)

    {

    var line = rows.item (i);

    If (row.client.rawValue = clientName.rawValue)

    {

    result += row.corresp.rawValue

    }

    }

    result;

    But I have not programmed it and I am still surprised to go wrong with optimizations.

    I think the victory is to remove the code from events to calculate the fields correspTotal, hcfaTotal, holdsMiscTotal, Total182, Total215, Total247, Total259 and Total268 (I renamed Total268 it was a duplicate and complicated by my script) and add the following code to the clientTotals calculate (the parent subform) event, so you loop only if your form once per customer.

    var correspTotalWork = 0;

    var hcfaTotalWork = 0;

    var holdsMiscTotalWork = 0;

    var total182Work = 0;

    var total215Work = 0;

    var total247Work = 0;

    var total259Work = 0;

    var total268Work = 0;

    representatives of var = P1.resolveNodes ("rep [*]");

    var repCount = reps.length;

    for (var j = 0; j)

    {

    var Rep = reps.item (j);

    sets var = rep.resolveNodes ("ItemSet [*]");

    var itemSetCount = itemSets.length;

    for (var i = 0; i)

    {

    set var = itemSets.item (i);

    If (itemSet.client.rawValue = clientName.rawValue)

    {

    If (itemSet.corresp.rawValue > 0)

    {

    Console.println (itemSet.client.rawValue + "" + itemSet.corresp.rawValue);

    }

    correspTotalWork += itemSet.corresp.rawValue;

    hcfaTotalWork += itemSet.hcfa.rawValue;

    holdsMiscTotalWork += itemSet.holdsMisc.rawValue;

    total182Work += itemSet.tic182.rawValue;

    total215Work += itemSet.tic215.rawValue;

    total247Work += itemSet.tic247.rawValue;

    total259Work += itemSet.tic259.rawValue;

    total268Work += itemSet.tic268.rawValue;

    }

    }

    }

    correspTotal.rawValue = correspTotalWork;

    hcfaTotal.rawValue = hcfaTotalWork;

    holdsMiscTotal.rawValue = holdsMiscTotalWork;

    Total182.RawValue = total182Work;

    Total215.RawValue = total215Work;

    Total247.RawValue = total247Work;

    Total259.RawValue = total259Work;

    Total268.RawValue = total268Work;

    The next step, you could try would be to loop but the shape once and maintain eight totals by customer.

    To view the console messages in my previous example press Ctrl-J.  You should see a few lines such as;

    Form1. P1. Rep.repTotals.Total268. #calculate: time elapsed 3ms

    Form1. P1. Rep.repTotals.unresolvedTotal. #calculate: time elapsed 3ms

    Form1.clientTotals.correspTotal. #calculate: 340ms time

    Form1.clientTotals.hcfaTotal. #calculate: time elapsed 358ms

    Good luck

  • My computer became slow to open programs and browse the folders

    Hello, since more than two weeks and I'm going to slowly browse my files, and run programs, for example, Media Player Classic would take less than a second to run, and now it takes more than 6 seconds to run!
    Now when I open the computer takes 2 seconds to display all of the content, and when I close the window which takes 4 seconds, but also with the rest of windows.

    It is a record of what happened in my computer:

    The CPU fan is working hard (noise)
    MPC open in more than 6 seconds
    After running the computer showed me a message that says "Restart to save the changes" (appeared once, not always shown)
    Navigation in folders have been slower
    When I start full scan by Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 the Scan window will hang and not respond (if the window reduced I can't restore it and he always downplayed)
    And if I close the lid when Full Scan running and open only after that the screen goes black (after waiting about an hour the office appear but the window scan still kept to a minimum and not answer and windows suspended)
    Stop to take 20 Min!
    Start of time take 3 Min! (To log on the screen)
    USB port do not recognize any USB drive until you restart
    Install Tune Up Utilities 2010 and clean every thing
    Stop taking about 1 min
    Start to take 1 min (to log on the screen)
    Navigation still slow (but better than before)

    I use Office 2007 on Windows 7 Pro.

  • Windows 8 is slow in opening programs

    I installed Windows 8 on my laptop age of 6 months.  It works fine, with one small exception.

    Windows 8 load extremely fast, much faster than windows 7 does, however, my programs open slower on Windows 8.

    The main programs are Office 2010 (Word and Outlook) and Pinnacle Studio.  These programs take almost twice as long to open.  Y at - it something that windows 8 does it differently.  It almost seems like the cache/prefetch layout is disabled in windows 8.

    Guys I found a solution that worked for me

    1. go in run, Services.msc

    2. go to Superfetch

    3 check to see if it works in

    4. If it is not running turn it on (automatic adjustment)

    Has worked for me :) :) I hope this works for you also.

    How to speed up my computer to open and print documents?

    Hi Ivor Pearson,

    (1) since when are you facing this problem?

    (2) remember to make changes?

    (3) is this problem limited to specific documents or files?

    (4) what version of Windows you are running on the computer?

    You can follow the steps mentioned below on a Windows Vista-based computer-Windows 7.

    Method 1: If a Protection of resources Windows (WRP) file is missing or is damaged, Windows may not behave as expected. Auditor of file system (CFS) scan to fix all of the corrupted system files. To do this, follow the steps mentioned in the link below:

    How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

    Method 2:  Put the computer to boot and then check if the problem persists

    Follow step 1 in the link below,
    How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.

    Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.

    After find you the program that is causing the problem, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program, if you rarely use that you should consider uninstalling the software.
