• CS4 default shortcuts does not

  None of my Adobe Illustrator CS4 shortcuts that are default work as they are supposed to. For example, I should be able to hold down the space key and get the hand and go to the page. Or if I start to create a rectangle, by keeping the SHIFT key, it should make a square; It does not work.

  Why is this? How can I fix it?

• AE CS4 - 9.0.3 - seeds of GUI refreshing with drag & drop - Win 7 x 64

  Hello

  After you install AE 9.0.3 on Win 7 x 64, I'm running in GUI glitches when drag and drop items in the graphical interface that is not correctly updated. For example, when I reorganize the effects in the control panel of effects or when I drag / drop a preset on the teamline. The GUI is not refreshed to cleanly, leaving upleasant "trails" that show the motion I did. When I release the mouse button, some panels get a complete refresh (for example the panels of timelines and effects controls), while the effects and parameters predefined remains full of garbage.

  The solution is to run After Effects on Windows 7 using the Windows Vista compatibility mode. You can set the by right-clicking on the application After Effects CS4 shortcut, selecting Properties and then choosing Windows Vista (or one of the entries for a Service Pack for Vista) from the menu "run this program in compatibility mode for" on the Compatibility tab.   I'm on a PC Windows XP, Indesign CS4, as I said, the keyboard shortcuts do not work, even they do not appear on the menu, I was encouraged to reasign via Edition/shortcuts, but when I try to save the changes, it gives me a message (see photo) attached, so any idea what is wrong?

  I was wondering how do I transfer my preferences, including my shortcuts for InDesign CS 5.5 to 6 CS?  [I tried to copy the following files and folders of Win 7: C:\Users\[User name] \AppData\Local\Adobe\InDesign\Version [#] \en_US\Cache

  Preference files/folders copied of the InDesign CS 5.5 to 6 folder CS include:

  • Recovery InDesign file
  • Support script folder
  • FindChangeData
  • FindChangeDataTmp
  • FontMaskCache
  • idletask newspaper
  • InDesign ClipboardScrap
  • InDesign DragDropScrap
  • InDesign SavedData

  When I did I tried to open InDesign CS 6 and clearly, it has transferred not anything. Nothing was the same as before. Not even shortcuts.

  Please see replace your preferences for the InDesign Defaults file paths so InDesign SavedData (only two files you need to adapt according to your preferences). Workspaces and custom keyboard shortcuts are stored in the subfolders in the directory where InDesign Defaults is stored. Displacement of workspaces has been reliable for me, but be careful about moving shortcuts sets. CS4 shortcuts are not compatible with later versions without running a script (John Hawkinson wrote a to do this, but I don't seem to have a link). I don't know if the CS5 and 5.5 shortcuts will work in CS6. Symptoms of a problem are the keys that no longer work as expected and may be crashing.

  I searched high and low for it but cannot find a solution. CS6 appears to be able to create shortcuts that would be useful is that it is not a.  I would find it useful especially when the animation of photos on the time line. I could get through the time line and see the animation in the effect Panel that seems easier and faster with a short haircut that mouse on a double screen.

• Keyboard shortcuts launch when I am trying to type text. (CS4)

  I'll try to type text in some places (for example to name a layer or a group in the layers panel or enter a font name in the character Panel) and instead of displaying the characters, Photoshop will launch its keyboard shortcuts. For example, if I try to name a "bat" layer, it will leave the name of the empty layer and it will highlight the Brush tool, the selector tool, then the text tool.

  I can type the text of my document with the text tool and I can also type the name of the document in 'Save' and 'new '.

  I don't know if I've accidentally hit something on my keyboard that made this place, but I've never had this problem before.

  nicostar, you can try to hold CTRL + ALT + Shift (pc) or CMD + Option + shift (Mac), right after that you click on the Photoshop icon to launch, and you should receive a prompt asking if you want to delete your preferences.

  I suspect a third party software that is unique to your system, as I've never heard on / has experienced such a problem.

• CS4 automatic shortcut of curves (a) does not

  On Photoshop CS3, I am able to set up the curves function (Ctrl + m) and then type keyboard shortcuts (a) for the automatic function of curves.

  On CS4 strike (a) does nothing - I have to click the Auto button.

  The button Auto has the letter pointed out that that means that you can access it by pressing Alt + A

• No set in InDesign CS4 keyboard shortcuts?

  I recently installed InDesign CS4 and there seems to be no pre-installed shortcut? Shortcuts standard such as Ctrl + V to paste, Ctrl + S to save etc don't work do not. How can I load the standard ones, is there something escapes me? Similarly as the removal and the arrows keys do nothing. I had to go and assign a shortcut to delete object/text. The biggest annoyance is when entering, I can't even use the Enter key to get to the next line.  I use CS3 for a few years and never had to do anything to get the standard keyboard shortcuts that are the same across many programs, they were here first and I'm puzzled why they do not work. Any advice?

  I try to export my shortcuts so that if I re - install or move illustrator CS4 to another computer I can install shortcuts again. I lost the first time because I was under the impression that if I use the option to export text in return of keyboard shortcuts that would allow me to import them in, but he didn't

• Shortcuts keyboard and update to CS4 app

  Quick Preface: I couldn't find anything on this question, Google search, and the Adobe forums in particular, so I don't know if it's a general bug in CS4 or if it's specific to the facilities that we have here at work.  Also, this is not specific to Indesign, but it seems to happen more with Indesign, and I wasn't sure where else to post.

  Basically, Indesign in particular (although this also happens with Photoshop and Illustrator to a certain extent), seems to lose focus if I clicked on a pallet or if I have an object selected, such that I have to click an empty area of the document in order to be able to use any keyboard shortcut.  For example, if I just applied a new shade to an object, this object is still selected and I hit CTRL-S to save, nothing happens and I have to click on an empty area of the document, press CTRL-S. This may not seem like a big deal, but if I do, I might as well click on 'File' and then 'save '.  And this seems to happen with each keyboard shortcut that I use.

  Is there something in the application preferences that may be the cause, or is it just an annoying bug, or am I the only one? Any help is greatly appreciated.
