• No set in InDesign CS4 keyboard shortcuts?

  I recently installed InDesign CS4 and there seems to be no pre-installed shortcut? Shortcuts standard such as Ctrl + V to paste, Ctrl + S to save etc don't work do not. How can I load the standard ones, is there something escapes me? Similarly as the removal and the arrows keys do nothing. I had to go and assign a shortcut to delete object/text. The biggest annoyance is when entering, I can't even use the Enter key to get to the next line.  I use CS3 for a few years and never had to do anything to get the standard keyboard shortcuts that are the same across many programs, they were here first and I'm puzzled why they do not work. Any advice?

• Dreamweaver CS4 keyboard navigation issues

  I'm a coder 'old school' and such, I use religiously hotkeys such as CTRL-Home (go at the top of the file), CTRL-end (pass the end of the file), CTRL-X, CTRL-C and so on.  Whenever I go first to a file, any file at all - even though I have been there before (IE, many open files at the same time bouncing between them)-these shortcuts do not work until I have either press the Code button (even if the code is already selected) with the mouse or recently I discovered I can hit back , then CTRL-Z (undo) and that's OK so most of the time.  Very strange.  It is as well makes me crazy and seriously holding me to the top sometimes.

  I already have the Nations United/re-installed (twice) with no joy.  Is this a bug or is there something strange on my machine?  For reference, I have an Intel Core2 CPU 6700, with 4 GB of RAM and I run Windows XP x 64 edition.  Any help, even if it's just direct me where to report a bug to Adobe would be appreciated.

• Keyboard shortcuts launch when I am trying to type text. (CS4)

  I'll try to type text in some places (for example to name a layer or a group in the layers panel or enter a font name in the character Panel) and instead of displaying the characters, Photoshop will launch its keyboard shortcuts. For example, if I try to name a "bat" layer, it will leave the name of the empty layer and it will highlight the Brush tool, the selector tool, then the text tool.

  I can type the text of my document with the text tool and I can also type the name of the document in 'Save' and 'new '.

  I don't know if I've accidentally hit something on my keyboard that made this place, but I've never had this problem before.

  I ran the updates. I use CS4 on OS x 10.6.8.

  Any ideas?

  nicostar, you can try to hold CTRL + ALT + Shift (pc) or CMD + Option + shift (Mac), right after that you click on the Photoshop icon to launch, and you should receive a prompt asking if you want to delete your preferences.

  I suspect a third party software that is unique to your system, as I've never heard on / has experienced such a problem.

• CSS keyboard files strange behavior - Dreamweaver CS4.

  I have a question that is really frustrating. Whenever I'm editing one. CSS file, I'm seriously wacky behavior.  I'll be editing and it will be fine for a little bit, but then I hold down the < shift > key and any key other than the letters will work properly, the entire document will be the highlight, or DELETE or nothing.  I'll end up in random places.  It is so bad that I started to edit my CSS in notepad ++ just to save my hair.

  The really strange thing is ONLY happens in. CSS files.  HTML, JS, etc are all normal.  I'm a typist touch (tribute to Ms. Martin in high school) and use the keyboard a lot for things like the lines of copy, cut and paste.  At first, I thought maybe would it be my keyboard but I have 2 different Microsoft Keyboards, and then the laptop keyboard, and the behavior is the same on all of them.

  My setup in the case where it makes all the difference is:

  • HP EliteBook 8530w
  • ATI FireGL 256 MB video card
  • Windows XP SP3
  • Dreamweaver CS4

  Keyboards in question are:

  • Laptop keyboard
  • Microsoft 7000 wireless ergonomic keyboard
  • Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000

  What I tried:

  • Update drivers
  • Remapping keys in Dreamweaver
  • Checking Windows keymappings
  • Disabling microsoft IntelliType.

  So far, nothing works.

• Keyboard shortcuts in Dreamweaver 8

  I upgraded from MX2004 Studio 8 yesterday. This is great except for the keyboard shortcuts, specifically F12 and F12 ctl for preview in the browser. They are set in the Edit browser list, but does not respond when editing. Anyone had this happen? There is no notes (that I found) in the KB. Thank you

  Too bad. I reloaded the software keyboard and return most of the features. Anyway, F12 and Ctrl + F12 now work.

• Dreamweaver CS4 will not install extension, requires Version 11.0 or higher

  I want to install an extension called keyboard shortcuts for Emmet. But the installation failed because it requires version 11.0 or higher.

  My CS4 is version 10.0. However, there is no update to upgrade to version 11.0.

  Dreamweaver 11.0 is available with the version of the Creative Suite 5.0, you must upgrade to CS4 CS5 versions.

• Where is the small icon "add a line" in Dreamweaver CS4?

  I hope that's not too dumb of a question. I look around first.

  The Dreamweaver before I was using had a small icon in the info bar to insert a new row into a table (faster than edit/table/insert a line for those of us who keep forget the keyboard shortcut).

  How can I get this same icon visible in CS4?

• How to disable the features online in Dreamweaver CS4?

  I find the "Share my screen" link in the file menu particularly annoying. For some bizzare and infuriating to reason, developers Adobe gave him the same keyboard shortcut as the registration (S) option, so I can type is no longer: Alt + F, followed by S to quickly save my code.

  Please can you me how to remove this option to share my menu screen, or attach it so it has a different shortcut key?

  Ok. I have not had the time to test it, because my good lady wife has just called me to the dinner table, but this should fix it.

  Open the Menus.xml file in your personal configuration file. On Windows Vista, it is in C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS4\en_US\Configuration\Menus

  Locate the following line (around line 2260):

  Change to this:

  In other words, remove the underscore in the name = "_Share my screen.

  Save the Menus.xml file and restart Dreamweaver.

  The following is a general list of things, try when the question is not in a specific file, and when it is not caused by problems with opening a file from external media. You tried/made some of them already; 1 and 2) are easier for temporary strangenesses and 3) and 4) specifically preferences might be corrupt); ((5) is a list in itself and 6) is the last resort.

  If possible / there is, you must record a current work first, of course.

  (1) close Illy and open again.

  (2) restart the computer (you can make up at least 5 times);

  (3) close Illy and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift / Cmd + Option + shift during startup (easy, but irreversible);

  4) move the folder (follow the link with this name) with closed Illy (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible), for CS3 - CC you can find the file here:

  5 look through and try the relevant among the other options (click on the link with that name, item 7) is a list of the usual suspects among other applications which can disturb and confuse Illy, point 15) applies to the maybe CS5, CS6 and CC);

• Cannot change keyboard shortcuts

  It drives me crazy that Adobe does not use the standard Mac keyboard shortcuts in their applications for Mac.  I finally got pretty annoyed that I went to correct them in Dreamweaver.  I found the place to set shortcuts, but when I try to replace the end key (for end of line) with Cmd + right nothing happens.  If I got a letter, for example, that the key appears, but it does not seem to recognize Cmd + right arrow as a sequence valid.  Before you try to add that I deleted the shortcut Cmd + right which was associated with "right to speak".

• Keyboard shortcuts in adobe CS6 Norwegians

  I need the files for the Norwegians for CS6 keyboard shortcuts. I use Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator. (But first, Flash etc.). In CS4, I remember having a file in the program folder, so my shortcuts would work effectively on a Norwegian keyboard.

  Does anyone have these files to send me?

  Or can I change this in the program itself?

  Yes, you can simply replace some resource files / directories, but I doubt that you will find someone here. I'm sure you'll have better luck on a Norwegian forum.

• Change the keyboard shortcuts on Mac

  Hello

  DW CS6.

  I tried to change edition key code for "move at the beginning of the line" and "pass the end of line" be Cmd + left and Cmd + right as they are for most other applications on Mac. Beginning and end are the mappings in the Standard of Dreamweaver file, but these keys aren't on the keyboards of laptop and Cmd + left and right are the conventions these days anyway (yes I know using the Fn key I can reproduce beginning and end, but I want consistency with everything I use).

  I created a shortcut in duplicate using the Dreamweaver UI, but when I go to edit a shortcut, or add a new using the interface user of DW, it will not recognize the arrow keys. By example, by pressing Cmd + left does nothing and it is not registered.

  So, I went and edited the shortcut file and put myself in the changes, but when I run the application Dreamweaver ignores these changes.

  Here's the shortcut file changes I made. Note I have removed the Cmd of the move and salt Word leaving Opt as the modifier (agai the Mac convention) and then used Cmd to MoveStartLine, MoveEndLine, SelStartLine and SelEndLine.

  But when I launch DW these key parameters are ignored. In the user interface, they are empty.

  Since CMD + left/right are native keyboard shortcuts to go to the beginning/end of the line, you can achieve the desired result by removing customized in Dreamweaver keyboard shortcuts.

  For each of the following items, select it and then click on the "-" (less, "point remote") button:

  Changing code > move the left Word

  Changing code > move the right word

  Editing document > go to the next word

  Editing document > go to previous word
