  I have a little problem with the two scripts here.

  Jarek is obviously going to be very fast, but it assumes there is no local formatting on the words of style FRUIT, i.e. No bold / italic / color / highlight replacements applied to these texts. If this is the case then his script (perhaps with a more original original combination) them IS way to go. If it's not!

  John, I don't understand how the script you found could possibly work.

  There are 2 major bugs with it.

  var myCharacters = myResultsList [k] .parentTextFrames [0] .characters;

  myCharacters.itemByRange(myLocation-1,1).remove ();

  should be replaced by

  var myCharacters is myResultsList [k].parentStory.characters;.

  myCharacters.itemByRange (myLocation-1, myLocation) .remove ();

  To the help of parentTextFrames is not a good idea because it will fail on threaded textframe, give it index the character of possiosion since the beginning of the story and not the beginning of the textframe.

  having itemByRange(myLocation-1,1).remove () will withdraw find it until the second character in the story. I understand that you just want to remove the space before the style!

  This brings to a 3rd problem in your script that removes the (fixed once upwards) any character preceding the style regardless of whether or not it is a space.

  In any case my way would be with one of these 2 functions according to the conditions weather there is always a space before the style of fruits or not.

  It will only remove spaces (no returns or other characters) that precede the style.

  The first function 'removeCharacterBeforeStyle' is the equivalent of your corrected script but better (at least in my humble opinion)

  I have hundreds of stored at PayPal PayPal buttons and am rebuilding my site as soon as possible because Microsoft OfficeLive stops at April 30.  But I can't figure out how to put buttons on my new pages.  I don't know what to put their code in.

  I need to write a script for my company that merges the 3 documents together by selecting the needed pages in two of the three documents and moving them to the third document. Everything works fine and I have almost finished, but I can't find a way to move pages between documents.

  I also thought to simply copy everything on the necessary pages, but it does not work because each document has pages masters that are needed.

  Is anyone able to help me with the code necessary to select some Pages and move them to the end of another document?

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  With no page moved and no pageItems covered - where is the point you called 'almost finished '?

  Example:

  (with 2 documents open - was last opened index = 0)

  It does double duty with 1st page of the 1st doc after 1st page od 2nd doc. similar work Move() method.

  In the case of masterPages you can move, but it's an open door to another story, I'm afraid.

• CS5.5 - Page numbers in another type

  Hi guys,.

  Say I chose for the body of the text and the page numbers of my next book police Minion Pro, but I wish the numbers were in glyphs. Font numbers instead of the normal police watch, just as it is by default in the cast of the Georgia (you know, 1, 4, 7, 8 with beautiful top-down and bottom-up) which I use now. In the main body of the text, I can just change each instance manually - and maybe there is a way to automate this process, but it's okay as I won't have many figures in there (that's a photo book on Venice, I do).

  However, I did understand how to use other type in page numbers, because the letters that appear instead of on the Master Page humbers simply do not have the equivalent of "old figures".

  Before choosing a different font altogether for the page numbers, you have a tip on how to do this? I'm pulling some hair remains above this.

  As you can see I have selected the marker and applied font proportional figure formatting. It seems no different from the master page.

  If this does not work for you, or you do not have what we have described, or there may be a problem with your installation and trashing the prefs could help (see replace your preferences) but I suspect that the problem lies in what you are doing or not.

• How do you start each chapter and subheading title on separate in CS5.5 pages?

  Hello. I have a document that I am doing in an epub for iPad. I want each chapter and subheading figurentsur title it's own separate page and be visible in the Table of contents.

  It consists of about 20 chapters each with about 10 secondary topics. At the present time, I have each chapter and subheading on a separate page in InDesign, each in their own text box. In the Table of contents style I gave the title of the chapter level 1 "row" and the subheading level 2 "rank."

  When I exported to the menu in the epub content I ticked the box "Document break the paragraph Style" and selected the style of subheading I did. I then exported the epub and tested. The Table of contents is superb. I have every title of chapter listed and slightly behind and I have each of the subheadings below him. By reading the epub each subheading start on its own page, however each chapter title begins on the same page as the heading preceding. In an attempt to put an end to the last page of each subheading I added a jump to page by typing Ctrl + Enter number but has not made a difference.

  I have therefore each subheading rely on its own page, how can I also get the title of chapter to start on its own page?

  Unfortunately the EPUB export dialog box only allows you to define a paragraph for an auto-pause style. It was a feature request that you should be able to specify more than one.

  But I think it should work, but maybe a bit of work:

  1. you need to break your single file in files separated by chapter and create a book file to turn them into a book.

  2. in the first chapter, create a table of contents style and set the title of the chapter of level 1 and probably the head of the Section of level 2

  3. in your book file, make sure that Chapter 1 is the Source of the Style (which is where the style of table of contents)

  4. export EPUB from the book file. Under the tab content of the export dialog box, check use InDesign TOC Style and choose the style that you created. Check the paper break the paragraph Style and then Section Chief.

  It worked for me to start each chapter title on a separate page and each head of Section on a separate page.

• Link between lack of fonts in ID CS5.5 pages

  I had a client send me a file with the following content

  fonts (with fonts inside)

  I need to export the doc format e.pub ads but when I publish I get (some fonts are missing) now I know that some of these asre fonts on my systerm, but are in the fonts folder in the .indd file. I have to add fonts to my syastem fonts or I don't know there is a way for the indd file to display the fonts as they are in the same folder I'm good?

  Restrictions of fonts are not a property of format of the police, but rather something that is built into the font file by the foundry. Some fonts are available under restricted fonts, some still without restriction and som are availble so be it, depending on the license you buy or where you buy it. Adobe, for example, does not distribute the fonts which are limited against the incorporation in PDF format.
