  Photoshop cs5 can use only up to camera raw 6.7 as a plugin and the d610 nikon requires at least camera raw 8.3.

  Yes, the plug-ins written for After Effects CS5 will work with After Effects CS5.5. No need to upgrade. The reason that this should happen for CS5 was the port to 64-bit.

  Do you have updates ACR CS5 version 6.7.  This version may be able to convert your D4 and D800 NEF files, otherwise you may need to download 9.0 ACR with the DNG Converter and create DNG files for your NEF files.

  You need the converter DNG 8.7 or later, and that the so-called version installs on your computer so you'll need to find a newer computer elsewhere.

  As long as your camera memory card is not more half full you can probably do a conversion to DNG directly on the memory card.  And you should probably have the DNGC 8.7 (or newer) on the map, already, in which case the computer borrower does not have an internet connection or the connection is slow.
