  I downloaded CS 6 trial for Mac Book Pro running 10.7.2.  When I run install it gives me error restart "Installation Faild" Try etc. It does not work. I was told to 'Support' goto what medium? There is no mention of this antwhere.

  I have a copy of the Master CS6 Collection, which I can't install on my iMac OSX 10.10.5 running.

  I've tried so far of troubleshooting:

  • has run the Adobe cleaning tool.
  • created an admin account news, temporary and tried to install it with this.
  • active root user and I tried installing that way.
  • tried to install via the terminal with sudo.
  • Cloud of Safari killed as well as Safari Plugin Updater (delayed failure of about 60 seconds).
  • permissions of the disk verified and repaired via disk utility and the terminal.
  • direct downloaded the trial and saved a trial version of the software.

  In each case, Installer has given the message "installation failed." classic once Setup passes to "Validating scripts package," after < s 20 to package scripts to run.

  For those who have similar problems who stumbles on this post, here is the solution that worked for me:

  1. Granting of reading & writing to all parent folders and children access to me, users admin and all the world
  2. Enabling the root user
  3. Creation of a new administrative user & Installationavecuneracine who
  4. Kill all the nuclei of cloud of Safari
  5. Boot the machine in safe mode
  6. Remove all previous applications of CC, etc. (don't even bother with the vacuum, just delete everything yourself in different subfolders library and root)

• Vista SP2 x 64 install failed with error 80004005

  I tried to install the SP2 for Vista X 64 (KB948465) four times.  The most recent installation attempt failed after
  (1) created a new administrator account and did the following...
  (2) uninstalled CA Antivirus Suite (no other antivirus installed).

  My HP came with Vista Home Premium installed. After installation dual boot with Win 7 RC in which I had a ton of problems to get the partitions of size equal. I messed up my install Vista, so I deleted it and began around and after much trial & error, I got Windows 7 on my HD and a partition configured for Vista but I'm afraid when I install it I would lose the Windows 7 install because the discs I have are for recovery and said this would erase and reformat the HD to make new factory. Did I lose the partition?

  Using the HP Windows Vista Recovery disks will restore your hard drive to its original factory configuration.

  If Windows 7 RC1 is installed, it will disappear after using the recovery discs.  I recommend you

  installing a second hard drive and install Windows 7 RC1 on it.

  I need to use the old 32-bit version of Photoshop at times.

  You can try to reinstall the Adobe application manager. Go to the HD > library > application support > adobe > caps and rename the folder of caps. After you rename this folder, go to the USER library > application support > adobe > OOBE and rename the OOBE folder as well and install Adobe application manager at the bottom of the link. It should work fine.

It downloaded fine and I can open the .dmg file, but now when I click on the application of installation I get the error message "setup initialization failed. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem. "I did as he said, but he found nothing. I deleted the trial and downloaded the demo of Master Collection CS6 to see if the result was different... it wasn't. Received the same error message. I looked so other forums and I tried their methods to solve this problem, but I had no chance. Time is a bit of gasoline. Start school in a few days and a Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator class is difficult without Photoshop, InDesign or Illustrator.

  I tried a new account and it failed.

  I seem to have found a workaround. I used the application related Manager HERE http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=4774&fileID=4438 and my problems have been solved. I was able to install all of the CS6 programs with this Manager. Must have been send me corrupted files or the Manager itself was corrupt.

  Everything downloaded, installed and updated perfectly. I didn't make you I had any trace of deleted previous attempts of my computer and then downloaded the app handler.

  Very weird solution but I am glad it worked. Thank you.
