• Why not the AMD graphics cards on the list work supported with Premiere Pro CS6 or CC?

  I try to get my Radeon HD 7970 to work with Premiere Pro CS6.  The official compatibility list shows that I can use this card to accelerate the Mercury playback engine.  After Effects and Photoshop CS6, both recognize the card, but Premiere Pro won't.  I tried every fix there, I contacted support and they assured me that it should work with CS6 and CC.

  I tried a fresh install of my OS and a new installation cs6, and then fully implemented to update the software.  I also tried the same thing with the trial of CC, which tells me that CC is actually just CS6 who was apparently a waste of time.

  What should I do to get a support card to actually work with Premiere Pro?

  My OS is updated, I installed the latest drivers for my GPU and also tried a fresh install of the CS6 and CC... no chance whatsoever.

  The GPP setting remains greyed out, regardless of what I do.

  It seems that AMD fixed their drivers and they now work correctly with Windows 8 Pro x 64. I'm guessing that TeamViewer put pressure on those who is too generic to actually work with Premiere Pro CC.

  Still was abandoned after CS6. If you want more you have to install the Premiere Pro CS6 (included in the cloud without any extra cost) in order to get Encore CS6.

  as long as you have a 64-bit computer, yet is included.

  You should install something that comes with still (as first pro cs6) by opening your cc app > apps > filters & releases > previous versions > first pro install > cs6.

When I got this error, I had a mid-2012 Mac Pro running El Capitan 10.11.2 and an Apple ATI Radeon HD5770.  You can't update the drivers with Apple, but El Capitan should have giving me the latest video drivers.

  First try to open but after loading everything it errored out with the "can't find a video playback device adapted." A very cryptic message in my way of thinking.   A card having a chance to be accepted it must be registered with the same name and address (including the format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account and have been issued by a bank in the country where you are (and, therefore, the country that sits on your iTunes account). If it is you can check with the card issuer to see if it is them who are in decline. Or do you have another card you could try?
