CSA and access to files

I wanted to know what the consensus is the rule I created. I want to enable users to download documents, internall to sharepoint without questioning that Internet Explorer attempts to read an MS Office document. I would however like to be questioned if they download to an external site. The dynamic application class that I created, approved TCP connections, include only the internal IP host to communicate with the internal IP host. My article that I created, I open myself up to major security holes? Thank you and I thank you all for your comments.

Hi Jason, sounds like you may have helped all the processes execution of untrusted content to read and write files, not only the connections approved logos.

We can all see and access this file of numbers shared via a browser on our computers. Trying to find when on a mobile device has proved impossible.  Apple really puts this limitation on the shared files? If so, why?

As far as I know, the only true collaboration is through the browser.

  • Cannot open and view the files on a Vista Home Premium 32-bit networking machine

My laptop running Vista Home 32-bit pre SP2 has been networked with my desktop running XP V2002 Pro SP 3 for a long time.  Until recently, the files were shared back without problem.  After a Windows Update, a few days ago my Vista machine keep gel.  After a diagnosis, I have disabled some startup software Google and McAfee and services programs and did a system restore to March 31 to resolve the problem of gel.   However, I can't restore the capacity on the laptop of Vista file sharing.  This Vista laptop is able to ping the XP machine and see and access the files on the XP machine.  But the XP machine can't Ping the Vista laptop (application expires) and when you click on the list of the Vista laptop for the task force on the XP machine, it gives the error message \\Laptop is not accessible.  You might not have permission to use this network resource.  Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.  The network path was not found. (2) Turned off all 3rd party software and even restarted the laptop Vista in safe mode with network.  Could not even Ping the laptop of Vista on the XP machine or access the notebook icon in the Working Group in MyNetwork places. • Unable to access the files from Windows 7 computer to Windows 8

    Hello

I have Word 2007 on two computers, and each has Windows 7 or 8.  I'm trying to share with homegroup.  My goal is to keep my documents on Windows 7 system and access the files (read and edit) the system of Windows 8. I don't want multiple documents, I want just one version.

After you open the docx Word read-only, I did some research and discovered that if I go to the file on the computer with Win7, made a right click on the file, then select residential group read/write, I would then be able to access the computer of Win8 file and edit and save it.  I was able to do this.

    OT: Word 2007 ReadOnly

To make sure that I could continue to do so, I tried again (by selecting the docx on the Win7 system since the system of Win8).  I received one copy read the second time.  What should I do to edit and save the Win8 computer capabilities, without having to physically run to the Win7 to allow access?

    Thank you

I had turned off as long as I could before moving to the home of iPhoto to Photos. I now use of El Capitan, with Photos and finds it difficult to find the photo and movie files that I import. In the program there, but when I search by name, they will not be displayed. The Terminal solution for show hidden files (defaults write QLEnableXRayFolders AppleShowAllFiles YES) does not work. I export the files from Photos to a new location and then can see them in a search. Is there a way to fix this? I remember he was in earlier operating systems, but am not having much luck right now.

    Thank you.

Yes - there is access via the media browser (in the lower left corner of the Panel source in each window open/attach/upload under Support == > photos == > Photos) or as you would via export - still not access you it directly with the finder (and you should have never done that in the past - now with many operations in the background and iCLoud is simply not possible as only the program of database SQLite Photos) the status of the contents of the library)

  • The access permissions to the NTFS file in "C:\windows" and "C:\Program files" are not secure

    Hey there
Had a minor shock after I discovered that the access permissions default to the "limited users" in "C:\Windows\" and "C:\Program files\" are raised by the image automatically XP - Pro installed on my Tecra A6.

Default access permissions to the NTFS file in "C:\windows" and "C:\Program files" for "A limited number of users" should not have permissions "File/writing data Creation" or "Creation of folders/adding data. This opens up for what is called dll redirection attacks (ref: http://blogs.msdn.com/aaron_margosis/)

When you install a Win XP a normal retail or OEM Windows XP cd these two folders are special protected by this measure (not allowing the permissions listed for limited users). Installation procedure of your image work it around (in established Microsoft) measure and open breaches in security.

Now I have to drop all these permissions and hope that all of the utilities of your work for limited users after that that, otherwise you get a very unhappy customer on your hands. ;)

    Hi Henrik

Thanks for the information. I have a common user of Toshiba and I have never heard of such attacks to redirect m .dll.
However, I think that if each user install antivirus software (nothing unusual at the time; everyone should use) and activate the Microsoft Windows updates and OS firewall should be safe.

    Greetings :D

PS: I read in this forum that sometimes some Toshiba applications as energy saving does not work under limited account.

How can I remove these and clean unnecessary files? Thank you.

    Hello

    1. how exactly you are trying to remove it?
2 have you connected the administrator account?

Step 1: Check if the problem persists in the clean boot state.

From your computer by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine if a background program is interfering with your game or program. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot".

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    1. click on start and then click Run.

    2. type msconfig and click OK.

The System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    3. click on the tab general, click Normal Startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.

    4. When prompted, click on restart to restart the computer.

  • To access the files and folders from the hard drive Windows 7 on Windows XP, access denied error message.

Original title: portable destroyed - need for car access

I don't know if this is the right forum - please advice if it is not.

My friend's laptop computer was destroyed in a car accident. I pulled the drive and placed it in my desktop XP system and the drive appear in good health. However, I received permission issues trying to access records on the disk and thought that it was because of me using Win XP and the laptop was Win7x64. My questions below are based on the assumption that I'm not able to access these files on my Win XP system. If this assumption is incorrect, so please let me know.

I have a laptop that I don't use and put the disk in it. I was hoping it would be plug and play all the new material, but after reading a little online, I know that this is not the best thing to do and will probably not work as did the earlier versions of Windows.

In the end, I care retrieves the contents of the disc, although it would be great if I could lend my laptop for a few weeks with "its files" until it sorts how to replace the laptop.

Can I get the player Win7x64 working on the laptop computer of replacement by reinstalling Win7x64 on this laptop? I'm not "means a clean install/reformat, but have rather the Setup program detects an existing installation, and do its magic to get the operating system runs on new hardware?"

I know that this raises questions of MS licenses. If the installation process could get his old system running on the laptop replacement, if I have a small window of time completely to access his files before being forced to re-register the OS? I'm hoping so.

I'm looking for only a short-term solution - I do not recommend that he hopes that drive long term because the laptop got quite truncated of the accident, and once he gets a new laptop it will have everything he needs on this subject (OS, licenses, etc.). If I have a small window of time where I can simply copy their important files, or to lend him my laptop with its player and him can bring to its domestic network and the print out of all the things that are important, that it's going to be all together to move them to a new laptop when it is available.

    Thank you

    Hello

You experience this problem because of the permissions applied to these s folder.  To resolve this problem, you will need to take ownership of these files and folders.

Method 1: You can follow the steps mentioned in the link below to take possession of the records

Troubleshoot "access denied" when opening files or folders

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/troubleshoot-access-denied-when-opening-files-or-folders

(Article above applies to Windows Vista, not valid for Windows XP)

Also check out the article below

How to capture a file or a folder in Windows XP
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/308421

Method 2:  You can try a custom installation (not a format\clean facility).

See the link below for custom installation
using the install option custom without formatting the hard drive

Note: In custom installation only data would be transferred in Windows. Drivers, applications and the old folder will need to be reinstalled.
