• Central folder for images and sounds for use or NOT?

  Hello.

  I produce a lot of graphics and sounds for an online e-learning course.

  Can I just confirm something please?

  Should I put most of my graphics which will be shared with other sovereign funds in its own dedicated swf.

  As it is cached, I guess this would be the best idea.

  Isn't it also take longer for a game or a loading screen if it must import the special mc inside the large resources.swf.

  In addition, exactly how to get that mc.

  Libraries that nest within other will do exactly as you said, do load unnecessary things. It also creates a dependency that might be very useless. If a game is updated using a shared resource, all other games updates for nothing.

  For example for (other than sprite sheets) fast web design, it has always been strongly suggested to limit the number of HTTP requests. If you need to load 50 images, audio files, 30, etc., this will not work terribly effective assets as well as external.

  If you manage to get the assets on the sprite sheets, I think that these more flexible overall, especially with an atlas. Keep in external files spirit are easy to change, do not have the SWF indigestion and are also cached.

  The only thing THAT SWF gives you is perhaps an advantage of speed and the speed of development if you load dozens and dozens of foreign assets. If you went outside and found you had to load 50-100 + assets then pack in a single SWF file is much more advantageous.

  Audio is an ideal target for group into SWF, if you can because each file must be a separate download. That said, it's did nothing to make the audio is smaller that you could do with similar settings in any other audio encoder to the right settings SWF. MP3's MP3, etc...

  Your answer could lie between several game strategies. Fund rulers for some games, if possible assets elsewhere and a combination of the two institutions. It really depends on your game.

  I make a website in Muse.  I have successfully used a text widget scrolling on my pages for insert text so that the user can scroll as fast or as slow as they want to read the text.  I have another column of the same page, I want to do the same thing, but install small photographs with titles on the side so that the user can scroll through as quickly or as slowly as they want.  When they see the picture they are interested, I want them to be able to click on the photo and have it hyperlink to a new page in the Web site.

• Reduce the size of the image and design

  Hi there, I hope that it is published in the appropriate section as it does not seem to be covered in the FAQ. I learned to make Web sites that all goes well. However, for images and frames, sizes are huge!. I did the tutorial of coffee tonwsend and comparing the sizes of images and flash, mines are much too large! I know that when it comes to publish my site it will take ages to load.

  I've been using illustrator, in design, and photoshop to create images and save them as j - peg. Should I be compressed in fireworks or should I just use fireworks? As you can tell I'am new on the game and any help would go a long way.

  If you have PS, you can just cut out the image in order to reduce the loading time. Then insert in your web page. PS will show the size and the time it takes the image to load.

• Free version of ESXi can support for configuration of start and stop virtual machines via vSphere Client?

  I have read and found some documents on ESXi.

  According to the documents, I know that ESXi free version does not support some advanced virtual machine configurations and does not support write to ESXi host permission. But when I download ESXi from vmware.com, I can't find the free version.   Configuration of start and stop virtual machines is available with the free version and licensed, with the free version you would be configured everything via vSphere Client, where as with a licensed version, you can optionally use scripts to configure it and also issue restarts/stops using scripts.

  Second, shutdownHostViaSOAPAPICall.pl for the version licensed and free of ESX (i), this script will work in both free and licensed because it uses direct SOAP calls emulating the vSphere Client communication. Take a look at the documentation for details, but this of course is not supported by VMware.

  The best way to do what you ask is with the widget of Composition. Start with the ToolTip predefined, which by default displays the info on working capital. You can change the display option to click, which is what you are looking for. You can also add the close button or the info disappear in slowing.

• Does not display the images and CSS does not work generated WebHelp

  Hi all

  I have two issues which I believe are related. It miss me probably a simple step somewhere, since I can't find this issue covered in the forum or help.

  We have just upgraded to RH7 to RH9. When I build a project to test, the CSS was fate not (it was connected properly in the topics of the project, but he was not released when the WebHelp has been generated). Trying to open the CSS file directly led to a 404 error.

  I was able to solve that by checking the "Apply to all" button and selecting the CSS file we use (see image). However, none of our lists - ordered and unordered - are properly formatted. The font and size of numbered lists is incorrect, lists all nested lists display with numbers, even if they are not ordained and autonomous bulleted lists use evenly filled as circles dig balls, where previously they used the small squares, circles, or a picture of triangle. The CSS is called correctly in the subject, lists are formatted to use the styles and the styles are in the style sheet, so I do not know what causes this problem. So far, I have not noticed any other styles does not, but those are the ones that stand out.

  

  The other problem is with the images. This problem appears in both our WebHelp generated and in the printed documentation. The images are not output. In WebHelp, the text appears (typically the name of the file). in the printed documentation, nothing appears. (I checked all the printed documents that "embedded" is selected, but as far as I know, there isn't a similar function for the WebHelp).

  What Miss me? Thanks in advance for any help!

  Source code control is involved?

  So you can see the CSS in the project manager and it works very well in the design editor but does not every time that you build for. Can you just build or generate and publish? You use Windows Explorer to check the CSS in both places?

  How do you get a 404 error? This happens when you click on a link where the target does not exist. Normally you would use Windows Explorer to locate the CSS.

  Lists are a known problem on upgrade from 7. See the lists on my site.

  Catch: I use a model and have pictures of different background on every page, so I had to add a CSS rule inline for container bg image that replaces the model.

  I see no real need to change the style sheet for something as mundane as the change of image of bg.  Here's an alternative:

  (1) add this to the top of your pages just before the closing tag:

  
  

  (2) then modify your menu items to add an onmouseover event that calls the function "newbg()", with a memorable classname as an appropriate setting for each menu item, like this:

  Please note my classnames have been designed to reflect the text of the link, like "Overview of the firm"-> "foverview" rather that imagename that you will use for the bg, so in the future, if you decide to change this image, classname will always make sense for that link!

  (3) and then in a named "bgimages.css" external style sheet that I put in a folder /css/ (but you are free to rename all of these paths, filenames etc.)

  put these:

  These entries should still be there if you right click on an image or an area with a background image.

  Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

• Images and formatting does not not for some sites

  I noticed problems with some sites Web does not image or page formatting. These sites have worked in the past.

  Two examples:

  www.theoatmeal.com - site will load all images (png and .jpgs). I checked the options recommended for images is not displayed and you've run through all except Firefox reset to the factory settings.

  www.patheos.com - site displays only the basic text on a white background. It displays however images (.jpgs). It also displays a message at the top of the screen that I'm running an outdated version of Internet Explorer.

  Reload Web pages and ignore the cache to refresh potentially stale or corrupt.

  • Hold SHIFT and click reload.
  • Press 'Ctrl + F5' or 'Ctrl + Shift + R' (Windows, Linux)
  • Press 'Cmd + Shift + R' (MAC)

  Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance/themes).

  Have you checked for possible exceptions of image?

  You can try to use "Clear recent history" to clear all "Site preferences".

  Note that compensation "Preferences of Site" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, windows pop up, installation of software and passwords.

  Hi all

  I'm stuck in my higher studies project and really need help. I tested an imaging system, where one uses two mirrors MEMS to analyze the sample and a tube set (PMT) allows to acquire voltage signals and translate them into images of scanning laser.

  I use the same DAQ card for input and analog output. The DAQ card sends features X and Y of the MEMS mirrors so that the reason for scanning 2D starts left to right and up and down.

  Scanning rate: 131500 pixels per second.

  Size: 1170 by line, 514 ranks in total pixels.

  Thus, the mirror will scan 601 380 pixels per image, which takes approximately 4.57 seconds to complete. I almost finished this part in LABVIEW.

  However, only a part of the scanned pixels are read by the PMT. We want to get an image of 512 x 512 pixels. For example, the PMT works like this:

  (1) the sampling rate is also 131500.

  (2) skip the first row.

  (3) starting at the second row, the PMT will jump the first 329 pixels, read in the next 512 pixels and skip the rest 329 pixels again. Then, it moves to the next line.

  (4) jump the last row.

  My approach in the plate sequence

  (1) ignore the signals of all 841 (1170-329 = 841).

  (2) create a loop for, run 512 times.

  (3) in each loop, first jumping 658 signals (329 x 2), then read the signals then 512 MB.

  (4) wait 1499 pixels left to complete the digitization (1170 + 329).

  Problem

  The mirror and PMT must start and finish at the same time running. However, when I run my VI for the analog input and create the image on the Panel, it takes 5.7 seconds to complete, which means that they are not at all synchronize. It seems that there is some unexpected time in the loop for, but I don't know how to change the code to meet the requirement of calendar.

  Please see the attached VI. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  (3) in each loop, first jumping 658 signals (329 x 2), then read the signals then 512 MB.

  (4) wait 1499 pixels left to complete the digitization (1170 + 329).

  Consider this: add up all these pixels, both those you want to record and those you want to ignore.

  If I read you right, that would be:

  841 + 512 * (658 + 512) + 1499

  Regardless of this number, set up a task that many samples and record the whole bloody thing.  Let the time of equipment for you.

  Then, AFTER that data are in hand, pass by and throw the first 841 points, then for each loop, throw away 658 and keep 512... etc.

  IOW, let the MATERIAL which made the better material: precise timing.

  Let the SOFTWARE do what does best software: weird logic.
