CSS navigation with an outer glow to the overview

Is it possible to have a "glow" on words in pointing a css navigation State? I do it with the flight path images but I would do it in css so that if we want to change the color scheme in the future I have to change the CSS, not 50 pages.

Here is the test page: http://www.argraph.com/indexNewNav003.html the NAV is on tripod banner, in dark blue. I don't like the yellow color "hover" and would prefer that the State pointed to be type of dark blue with a white outer glow on the passage of the mouse.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

It is a strange in css. I know not all attribute 'intensity', which could be added, you can add multiple shadows to increase the 'intensity '.

You do it by adding another set of numbers in a list of coma separated for the text-shadow element. You can also change the blur of a couple of them to get a brighter glow closer text. Something like this should be closer to what you want, you can play with adding more and change the blur settings to do as you like it, or at least nearby...

text-shadow: 0 0 10px #ffffff, 0 0 10px #ffffff, 0 0 10px #ffffff, 0 #ffffff, 0 5px 0 10px 0 #ffffff, 0 5px 0 #ffffff, 0 0 3px #ffffff;

    Hello

    I have the following requirement, can anyone suggest as the best approach please.

    I have a contract with header page and the rows that will be stored in the custom tables.

    User needs features to copy, which will provide a copy of the current record with the new record (similar to copy the functionality of the simultaneous program).

    As soon as the user presses the copy function, it must call my backend pricedure copy_contract (p_old_contract_no in NUM

    Once it returns RETCODE contains 0, and p_err_msg is null, then I need open another page that displays p_new_contract_no.

  • Outer glow behind the shadow?

    Is there a way to generate an external light behind a drop shadow, with a single layer?

    There is no apparent way to change the stacking order of the modes, fusion, so my assumption is none.

    No, can't be done with a single layer

  • Is it possible to use transparency AND the outer glow in a target of composition?

    I created a composition that uses a lot of buttons to display overlays of different on a background image. The idea is that you can see through the images superimposed with an opacity of 50% (for example) to see the image below, in order to understand the context of the overlay image. I also wanted to point out the image overlaid with an outer glow. This kind of work, but I can't get the outer glow AND the opacity to work together when it is applied to the State of the overlay image. If I ask to them both that I lose the opacity of 50%. In the end I had to apply the opacity of 50% of the target of composition itself, but it's not ideal because it affects other elements within the target (for example, a text box describing the overlay image). The outer glow and opacity properly when applied to an image outside the composition, for example a picture placed on the page.

    The link below will take you to the page that I'm working on.

    All targets of composition have opacity 50% (or 75% on click) applied to the target itself and the outer glow applied to the image EXCEPT 'Pair Cubby' which has opacity 50% applied to the image AND external glow. As you can see the pair "Cubby" seems to ignore the opacity setting and is 100% opaque.

    Under the hood (TCV - M)

    Any ideas?

    Edit: when I saw in Muse it works but not when I discovered in the browser (IE and Chrome, have not tried Firefox)

    I think I solved my own question. Instead of using "Opacity" next to the "Effects" option, I used "Fill" opacity. This seems to work fine now.

  • Outer glow effect

    Hi, is it possible to apply the outer glow effect to the form?

    To use outer glow use the trick with shadow.

    Rectangle rect =new Rectangle(50,50);
    rect.relocate(50, 50);
    rect.setFill(Color.web("f2f2f2"));

    //Outer Glow Effect
    DropShadow outerglow = new DropShadow();
    outerglow.setOffsetX(0);
    outerglow.setOffsetY(0);
    outerglow.setColor(Color.BLACK);

    rect.setEffect(outerglow);

    Thank you.

  • Black screen with a blue glow on screen 55 "

    I'm having a problem with the 55 '' LCD Cisco monitors where they randomly have a black screen with a blue glow at the bottom (hanging vertically).  Their power off, then bring him back the photo.  The DMP continues to play their content, and they are not connected by RS232, so I don't know that it is not orders this way.  We have two side by side, and it is never both at the same time.  It is one or the other, and they seem to alternate.  Last week from the other two, who are in another building and in separate rooms in one room on the other hand, started having this problem also, but they have been in service for a few months more.  Last week, it was one, which is just in front of the person to me, and this morning it was the other.  The oldest of them is just less than a year in the service.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi Michael,

    I know a couple of back issues of customer with 55 '' screens goes black after a while. Best option is that you open a service request in the TAC of revision of the exact firmware running on LCD screens and see if they match a known problem that can be corrected - since I do not believe that there is a patch available in general release.

    Best regards

  • Issue of outer glow

    For some reason when I try to use the outer glow he picks up tasks where I erased. I'm only using a layer as well.

    Someone know how I can get it to stop doing that?Screenshot (3).png

    Because you delete the pixels of the layer, this layer style is the application of the outer glow on the edge of the pixels that have not been deleted. It is a normal behavior.

  • Trouble with the outer glow

    I'm trying to recreate the logo "dark side" of Star Wars: The Old Republic as a fun side project, but I have encountered some problems. I use no effects of light for many in my industry, if it's become a bit of a learning experience for me! I started by creating the shape with the pen tool and the I made to be as accurate as possible. The I tried to give him the outter shine? I thought it would be so simple right? Now I'm on the forums asking for help.DarkSide.jpg

    This is as far as I got.

    3122p_0c_2b.jpg

    That's what I'm trying to replicate. Any tips? Ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    First, please provide a glimpse.

    Now, instead of outer glow, try adding a line of thickred in the appearance Panel, then application of a Gaussian blur to the outline in the menu effects. Note that the stroke is below filling.

  • Suddenly, outer glow is applied to the framework instead graphic design only

    In Adobe InDesign CS5 Mac OS X 10.6, I applied the graphic blocks outer glow effect. It worked very well the real images (not their alpha channels). Even in PDF rendering.

    Today, at the opening of the ID, the glow effect is applied to the entire image, not just the actual pictures. Additionally, ID start to outline view instead of overprinting as before.

    Anyone with a clue? Most appreciated!

    Previously, correctly:

    Now, incorrectly

    Thanks for the replies; I checked the settings before asking the question, everything was in order.

    Yet the problem has magically himself today. After the start of ID, everything has been correctly applied again. Maybe a conflict strange cache/preferences or something.

  • How do you add outer glow effect to the text into 12 elements?

    I created a layer in 12 items with text.  I want to add an outer glow effect.

    That's what I do:

    1. Select the layer with the text

    2. click the FX button at the bottom of the screen

    3 click the Styles tab

    4. Select Outer Glow of drop down

    5. I can see 11 predefined option.  The only one that works is called 'Fire' and it's not the style I'm looking for.  I want a simple contour, but none of the other presets have no effect.

    Any help would be appreciated!  Thank you!

    Try the outer glow #4 > Simple. Apply.

    Now on the text in the layers palette layer there is an f on the right. Double-click the f

    This opens the Style dialog box. At the bottom, check "Stroke" and adjust with the sliders accordingly.

  • Styles/layer/Outer Glow - not only outside, but also inside the object

    I'm applying "Styles/layer/Outer Glow" to a text object. It is clear that the outer glow also affects the color of the text (on the inside), and not only on the outside. I checked with the color code of the text before and after the application of the layer. On a rectangle object, the glow effect only on the outside... idea? The "outer glow" does not work on text elements?

    Thank you very much for the help!

    Manfred

    You got a problem with rendering order. Take a close look at the order of effects:

    In the first place the opacity of the text is changed, then a blur is added. Both alter the values of the pixels in the text. Then, the layer style is applied. Outer glow works by adding or mixed pixel from the alpha channel. The alpha value of the whole text now allows partial transparency the glow will be partially applied to the partially transparent region, color change and fully applied to the transparent area.

    The solution may involve text layers in double an acting as a track matte for each other with the glow effect applied to only one of the layers. It may involve manually generating the glow by removing the style layer and blur a duplicate of your layer text and place it behind the original text layer and a copy of the layer text without partial transparency used as cache by approach. I can't say for sure because I don't know what your animation, but I can tell you that you need more a copy of your text layer to pull this off.

  • Effect of outer glow on with solid color text?

    Hi, I'm using an Illustrator CS5. I'm doing an outer glow on a text effect, but I want it to be with a solid white color (not passed). Even if I set the opacity to 100%, it still comes out faded. Is there a way to fix this?

    1. Select with text tooel the stroke and fill none value
    2. Select the type with the arrow tool, select this type instead of character.
    3. Add your fill and return strokes (they are now at the level of postscript type)
    4. On the surface, drag the embankment above the line.

    Hope my answers help you.
