  My copy of DW also works as you describe, I think it's just "the way that it is" in DW.

  To copy a file from another location on your computer to your site, copy it from the original location and paste it into the site folder within windows Explorer (do not use DW at all).

  You can also drag a file from your desktop to your files window in DW to make a copy.

• cut and paste does not work

  I have DirectorMX2004 10.1. I use a PPC Mac, the last line of the G5s. The characteristics of cut and paste do not work no matter how I apply, even on different files. Is this a bug that someone knows? Or are there settings that I could reset? I am at a loss here. Thanks in advance!

  I thought about it. I was not clicking on the channel where I wanted to stick. I moved a picture different without selecting the channel, so Director did not know where to paste.

  Copy and paste the orders have stopped working in all my software programs (Photoshop, CorelDraw, Corel Painter, etc.).  When I type "copy", or "control c", it crashes and whatever program I use becomes inoperative, as well as all my programs, until I can get the specirfic program to close.  I ran Services.msc to ensure than the Clipboard (did not find Clipboard so I assumed it was changed to album) has been activated, which he was, but when I click on 'Start service' it says "cannot start service on local computer album.  "Error: 1068: the dependency service or group could start. It started several weeks ago and I have not installed new programs during this period.  Only my computer display was the automatic updates of Windows.  It's very frustrating...   Instead of using the physical keyboard to type and enter data, you can use the on-screen keyboard. On-screen keyboard displays a Visual keyboard with all the standard keys. You can select keys using the mouse or another pointing device, or you can use a unique key or a group of keys to scroll through the keys on the screen.

  Method 1:

  Press shift + insert and see if you are able to stick.

  Method 2: Check if the problem persists in the on-screen keyboard and see if it helps.

  Type without using the keyboard (on-screen keyboard) (Windows 7)

• Why to the can't 'Shared VMs' does not allow to share folders with the host and why the copy/paste does not work on them? :-((

  I want to put in place a "build mini-server' for our team. Since VMware Player is not taken in charge more I had to use VMware Workstation, and with some success, I put things up. But now more and more surface of trouble!

  To enable auto-start for the virtual machines, they must obviously be "shared." But it looks like, with this, the nuisance that these virtual machines cannot share folders more with the host. And also, it seems that copy and paste does not work with these "shared VMs.

  Is there a work around to get these features also works with 'shared VMs?

  It is VERY annoying and tedious to always have to these VMs to shuttle between shared and non-shared mode just to be able to transfer data or new versions of code for them!

  Check in Control Panel to see if you have a NVidia Control Panel or ATI Control Center icon. You have will depend on which video card to install on your PC. Click the NVidia or ATI and open Center Control Panel. Look carefully at the options and you should see an option for "rotate screen". Click on it and press the appropriate option to rotate the screen in an upright position.

  Thanks, but the cd/dvd drive works well - I can burn a cd with windows media player for example.  the problem is that I can't copy files to it.   I can play CDs (haven't checked the DVD).  I can not do and could do before, is doing drag and drop files on it.  The only authorized action is "move".   This happens even when I click CTRL + do drag.   I can copy it to any other player, but the CD player, and when I hover over the "exemplary" drive CD goes to 'move '.

  Clear the cache and cookies from sites that cause problems.

  "Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > advanced > network > storage (Cache) offline: 'clear now '.

  'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

  Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

  This can help with some (but not all the) programs/drivers:

  (1) uninstall the program, if it is already installed. Then when install you / reinstall instead of double click on the Setup file, right click and select 'resolve compatibility issues.

  (2) then click on 'Try recommended settings' and in the next window, click on "Start the Program" to install it.

  (3) after he set up see if it works properly. Note: some programs may not be able to run in Windows 7.

  Adobe programs should be installed, they can be copied from one place to the other.  If you do not have the serial numbers for these products, then you're probably out of luck to run again on any new installation.  If you have the discs, then the serial number is usually on the disc cover.

  If you purchase these items in an Apple store, they are not new... they are quite old.

  I doubt that they say anything about you being the money you spent, more likely, they say they provide is no longer support for older products and you conclude are you the money you've spent - this isn't something rare to hear - it is unfortunate, but are not uncommon.
