  Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

  If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

  When I use firefox in mutiple workspaces on my Xfce/Unbuntu desktop if I close firefox in a workspace it closes it in all areas of work. How can I avoid this.

  After reading your last post, I decided to look and check out all the options to close the Firefox Windows. I found that if I close the window remains last on a workspace by the 'X' button in the right-hand side of the title bar of Firefox it closes Firefox in all workspaces. However, I found that if I close the window remains last on a workspace by using the small icon of Firefox on the menu on the left side of the window taking place & click close in this menu it does not close Firefox in all areas of work in the space of a work place. (It may help that I put in place of the separate virtual desktop on one office. Then, I opened Firefox in each workspace & clicked "Desktop 1" only then "Desktop 2" only and etc. This seems to have solved the problem for now.

  That's what fixed it for me. I went to the HISTORY tab. Then click on "show all history". Then on to the left hand side choose / click on "DOWNLOADS". That should show you what is (by train) to download or is a (active) download (which explains why you get this pop up when you try to close Firefox browser). So now you have to click or select what list in the download of right hand box and click on the X in the upper right corner or you have to click so that he can remove it for download.   You can perform the same operations for downloads in navigation mode as in your regular browser window. There are no pop-up downloads, but should open a separate tab for downloads in private browsing. Alternatively, while in a private window, you can enter topic: download to your address bar, and it should show you your downloads that are spend in your private browsing windows.

  On another note, is there a reason why you are using Firefox version 24? The current version of Firefox is 32.0.2

  Such a download is usually recorded in a updates or updates folder in the program folder or the Firefox application.
  You can delete this folder to cancel the download.

  If the files have already been downloaded, then delete the files in the folder updates\0 and updates.

  Do not use 'Clear history of Firefox closing' to clear the 'browsing history '.

  Please contact the Mozilla Support. After looking on the support page of the Real, they recommend the following:

  Check that the plugin is enabled in your browser.
  1. click on the Tools menu.
  2. Select Add-ons.
  3. locate RealDownloader.
  4. If the button says 'disable' this means that the plugin is currently enabled.
  5. If the button says 'Enable', click this button. Click restart now.

  Note: If you are using IE or Firefox, download this video will not work if your browser is configured for private browsing. If please close and restart the browser window and try again.

  If you try to use it under the private browsing?
