• Offline files indexed are not displayed in search results

  I've recently updated my PC and now have Windows 7. I want to be able to search for files on a PC on a network (Windows XP).

  I set the folders as "always available offline" and rebuilt the index, but when I search the offline files do not appear in the results.

  I did the same configuration on another new PC on my network and research shows the offline files. So, I don't think that there is a problem with the settings on the XP PC.

  I hope I missed something obvious, any ideas appreciated.

• Siri has not provided the appropriate search results

  I have some problems when using Siri.

  My iPhone running iOS 9.1.

  My Siri language is set to English.

  Whenever I would ask Siri to find something, it never of the results correct answer.

  For example, "web search for telescope.

  When I tried to ask Siri search for something on the web. He don't answer translates in English, there always answer Chinese results and which is not what I'm asking.

  I think it can using Baidu search engine to return results to me.

  But the question is that Baidu never gives English results.

  I even tried to check if they meet currently in Chinese. But it doesn't work.

  Baidu is famous for its precision of bad research.

  Is it possible to apply Siri answer Bing or Google search results?

• Windows 7 Start Menu is not displayed any search results

  I use Windows 7 Ultimate on my computer. My Start Menu doesn't show any element when I search for it, or the search option works in Explorer.

• Find command not not highlighting every search results

  Acrobat 9 Pro, Mac OS 10.6.8

  This seems to be a fairly new problem.

  When I do a search - using the Find command - of a PDF document for a particular word, Acrobat in some cases place the cursor to the right of the word while in other cases, it highlights the word with a blue color. How can I get the program to find and color highlight all occurrences of the search term?

  This is a bug in the version 9.4.5. Should be fixed in the next update.

  You can roll back the update if it's a big problem for you.

• Search Google in Internet Explorer 10 does not display search results.

  The search function is very good b u t... IE I need to find a doc with the tax word in the title. I type in the search box "tax"2011"and I get a list of docs about 10.   I did not know that search results from using the start search box could never changed as you describe.  I would also like to know if it can happen.  In any case, an alternative is to minimize all windows so that you see the desktop and press the Windows key with the F key.  You will get a search window that uses the index, as the start of the start menu box does, and the results do not disappear.  If you ever want to search the entire hard drive, including the stuff not indexed areas, go to start, computer and drive Local (c) and use the search box at the top right of the window.  Or, you can first do a search of content indexed with Windows-F and then click on the choice of the computer under the words "search again:" if wanted to complete research.

  After installing the new bridge on my bb 9900, I have this problem. I used to type the name of a contact and it came several search results on the screen and among contacts.

• Why can I not see the emails of the search results in the files in offline mode?

  When you perform a search in Thunderbird, if the result is in a folder offline, clicking on that result to view the entire email will show nothing. This "bug" has been present for as many years as I use Thunderbird (a very long time).

  Having a few issues with Win 7 Enterprise edition & serach Outlook 2007 work on a couple of office machines.

  I did a little research on Google and found solutions that have worked for many did not work for me.  Here is a list of few I've done and the mistakes that I'm still trying.

  The main problem is in Outlook.  If I try a search, I get the error "search results may be incomplete because items are still indeced. Click here for more details. "Search specific 124349 remaining items in the items box mailbox Spo 124977 remaining in any of the boxes to open letters. Using the drop-down menu in the search box and selecting search options, to the title of indexing, mailbox - OPS, if I check this box, I get another error, a problem when trying to change the data files to be indexed. some of these changes may not have been recorded.

  -Go to indexing in the Panel Options, the button change is grayed out.  Enter in the advanced, reconstruction (all other options are greyed out) reconstruction seems to have no effect.

  -C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Search\Data - strange events in this folder. Many solutions to state that there should be 2 files here, Application & Temp.  Initially, after the 2 files in this folder appear.  After about 5 seconds, they both disappear.  If I try and create the folders (I took possession of the ProgramData folder with lots of Perms) it fails showing the item was not found, unable to find this point, this is no longer in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Search\Data

  -Services - Windows Search service is not running.  I tried to restart and get this error: Windows could not start the service Windows search on the computer locally, Error 1067: the process terminated unexpectedly.

  -Programs and features - I deleted the component windows Windows Search, restarted, re added, rebooted and still no success

  -Regedit - SetupCompletedSuccessfully key has been set at 0, removed, readded working again now.

  Does anyone have any other suggestions rather than a reconstruction.

  I noticed default search engine Yahoo will not display safe annotations by WOT or SafeWeb BrightCloud.
  Considering that the Google search results make annotations without danger.
