  Hello, I wonder if someone has experimented with dynamically retrieve the current computer date/time and place this information in a text box? Looks like a simple enough action, but I can't find any documentation related this topic. I suspect that this method of appeal and retrieval behavior could serve as unexpectedly in many situations for many people!

  You don't need a script to do this.  In the Type menu, there is a submenu "text... Variables. ».  This will set text variables and store them in text boxes.  There is a predefined variable called "Release Date", which will display the date current (MM/DD/YY) when a PDF file is output.  If you want to display the time, under "text... Variables. ', go to 'Define'... ", and you can define your own.  Under 'Type', select the release date and add any desired variable data.  The format of date and time should look like this:

  HH: mm: MM/DD/YY

  I found that only update text Variables in the display very consistantly, but I just tested it, and whatever the value is, the PDF output has time and date.

  If you want to control the text with javaScript variables, see the classes of TextVariableInstance (s) and TextVariable (s).

  As a side note, the text variables work very well if you want the date and time, page, etc., but I really wish they would add a little more features, especially with things like name of separation, color profile, and PDF output profile.  It would be a huge timesaver that all of this type of metadata inserted easily.

• Update calendar with a date picker and the text field

  I have a box of text, dates and a button selector. When I click on the button, I want the calendar in a region to be updated with the details.
  
  For example: I select date: August 15, 2012 and text: meeting customer. When I click on the button (Update), calendar should display my meeting details for the respective date.

• I need to know the file current date/time number stamp and the version of "spoolsv.exe" in Vista Home Premium 32-bit with SP2.

  I need to know the file current date/time number stamp and the version of "spoolsv.exe" in Vista Home Premium 32-bit with SP2. My spooler file got corrupted and I need to know what that the stamp of date/time on the latest version of the file: spoolsv.exe. I did a search on my hard drive and found 8 copies of the file with 7 different dates. I need to know which copy in my file C:\windows\system32\. I suspect that the problem was caused by some kind of malware. I think that some of the different versions on my machine of the initial installation of the Vista, SP1 and SP2. 3 copies that would explain. I tried all the suggestions in this forum and several others. I tried sfc/scannow and it simply replaces the corrupted file by another. I understand how works this file and a simple copy will do the trick if I knew that the file to use. I know that I don't want to go back to the first version of 2006.  BTW... my symptoms are all my printers have disappeared, and when I try to 'add a new printer' I get an error message saying that my spooler service does not work. When I opened my services window it shows that indeed, he is arrested, but I will not start because the description column contains only the code garbled machine indicating that the file is corrupted, or it may contain a virus. I had been using F-Prot until this virus got by and now I use AVG. I scanned my machine with several cleaning packages and it is is more infected, but I worry that from this corrupt file grow something. I know that the problem is not with my printers or drivers, because everyone on my home network can print on all of my printers. None of the people I know are on Vista 32 bit. They are all running System 7 or XP. I have XP, except that a few years ago I suffered from the "Syndrome of Pepsi" on my laptop and when I bought a new HP, it came with Vista.

  This problem has been fixed in the latest update to animate CC.

  You can upgrade to animate CC 15.1.0.1.13 creative use of cloud App or via the Help menu > updates.

• How to select all the text fields at a given time in Adobe Reader ms?

  I created a document that contains more than one text field I created with Acrobat Pro DC, I want to allow the user the ability to select all fields in order to change the text size/color and fonts at the same time... not having to go through the entire form and must make each field separately. To be a little more specific, the document is two pages with six place/lounge cards per page, designed for weddings and other events. Each place card has a field for 'user name' and ' number of table: my question is...» Is it possible to 'select all fields' in Adobe Reader? If I go to Edition > select all, the program selects all graphics and none of the text fields. Not exactly what I'm missing here and I can not find my answer online. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

  In this case, you can only change the properties of the text selected within a field. Acrobat Reader cannot change the properties of the text field.

  Right-click on the field > use current properties as new default.

  It will keep the new settings until the next time that you do this. It is not specific to the document. Do it separately for each field type (text, button, etc.)

  

  On an existing form, you can select multiple fields. A pro tip, is that you don't have to close the properties to move from the field to the field to the field. Dungeon opens and work faster.

• "BOLD" that part of the text field populated by JavaScript?

  I use a drop-down box to populate a text field, as in This example. It works fine, but I can't not formatting output. I need "BOLD" only one part of the text. I don't know much about scripts, so I'm stuck. I tried to connect two strings together, with the method JavaScript for "BOLD" text on the second string, as follows:

  TextField1.rawValue = "Some plain text!\n" + "Some bold text!".bold();

  The two channels appear, but instead of the second being "BOLD", it displays only the HTML for "BOLD" tags, so, in my text field, I get this:

  <b>Some bold text!</b>
  

  The format of text field is set to rich text and data format is set to xhtml because users also have the ability to add their own responses to the field of text as well. However, I do not want to have select and "BOLD" text that is sent automatically to the text field in the drop-down list. So, it defeats the purpose to automate in the first place it if they have to go back and adjust it every time...

  Is there something that I am missing? Or another, better way to do this? Any help is greatly appreciated.

• Turn off the text field (always submits page when you press enter)

  I have an area which allows you to enter search criteria. There are two fields and a button. The 1st field is a selection list that gives a list of columns in a database that can be searched on. The 2nd field is where the user enters the value to search for. The user can submit the search in 2 ways. They can press the button or press return when the cursor is in the 2nd item that is a text field (always submits page when you press enter). The results are then displayed in a region of report below.
  
  The problem I have, is that if the request is for > 10 seconds and the user gets impatient and hits the Enter key or the button search again the query is returned for a second time (or third or fourth according to the impatience of the user) causing the claim on the basis of data with a negative impact on the performance of the system.
  
  I know how to handle the search key. On a click event on I turn off the button so that the user cannot click on it again and resubmit the request.
  
  My question is - how can I turn off "always provides a page when you press enter" text item when the user presses enter? I tried an onclick event, but disabled the front element I could type in anything. Onblur event does not seem to do anything.
  
  Any ideas would be very appreciated.

  First of all, one thing to try: attributes of the Page, there is a section for the presentation in double - try setting this option on no.

  Otherwise, using the text field type, adds the following to the INPUT tag:

  onkeypress="return submitEnter(this,event)"
  

  which means, you can call your own function of javascript on the onkeypress event, the final line would be call submitEnter(). But you can set the value of a hidden page element:

  On the page root of the PDM file, there is a predefined, property called ' Date/Time' in the first row.

  I would use it to save the timestamp when the tdms file is created. But in the help file.

  I find that the following property constant. So, how can I write to the field of property ' Date/time '?

  You cannot change the default font to a form field in Indesign. You can change the font in Acrobat by changing the form > by selecting the field properties > appearance > fonts
