Cursor highlight color?

How can I change the color and the darkness of the highlight when I move the cursor in Windows Explorer on a link?  Now I see a light blue (very light) which is barely noticeable.  Seems like a simple thing, but I have yet to understand.

Thanks in advance,

Bill

Hi Bill,

Here's how:

You're talking about Windows Explorer, but I think you mean Internet Explorer. In Internet Explorer, and assuming you're using IE 8 - here is how adjust you the color of the hover.

Tools, Internet Options, and then choose the colors. Check the box for "Stationary use of color" and choose a color that comes out better. It is default to red so it seems that if you just need to click on the checkbox, because "light blue (very light)" is watching as he described the flaw not visited link - which is what you probably saw.

Hope this helps and let me know if that answers your question:

  • Change the highlight color when you select files or folders

    Hello
    Need assistance to change the highlight color when you select files or folders in Windows Explorer / my document.
    I use Windows Vista with SP2.  I tried to go to control-online personalization panel => color & appearance of the window and changing the settings.  However, I can't change the intensity of the highlights that I see it clearly.  A little blind colours, I would like to change the color to make it darker so that I could clearly see when an item is selected.
    I tried open classic appearance for color options properties more-online advance but did not find an appropriate under "Item" option that I could change.  I tried the step "Selected items" under ' point:' but that only applies when I double click on a file or folder.

    Sorry to hear that the option is good enough for you.  I've done some research more and that you still do not see a way to change what you're asking.  As I said before, others have mentioned this issue as well.  If I come across a way to do it, I'll post it here.

    In the meantime, I'm going to Mark this post as answer whose answer is:

    Currently, there is no way to make this change in Windows Vista.

    How to change the highlight color for windows 7 in the aero theme (select the file or folder)?

    You can change the font size because it is not a widget.   To do this:

    1 type dpi in your Start menu search box, and then choose make text and other more or less important.
    2 - Choose a size you prefer
    3 - Click on apply.
  • ListField set highlight color

    Hello!

    I make a list of items, with my own custom ListField. I use the example of TaskListField and change to my design.

    I changed the background color of the items correctly, but now I want to change the highlight color of the list item selected from blue to red. I use the drawListRow method:

    public void drawListRow(ListField listField, Graphics g, int index, int y, int width) {
            ListaTours list = (ListaTours) listField;

            if(list.getSelectedIndex() == index){
                System.out.println("Selected index: "+index);
                g.clear();
                g.setColor(0xFFb00000);
                g.fillRect(0,(index*this.getRowHeight()), this.getWidth(), this.getRowHeight());
            }
            else{
                g.clear();
                g.setColor(0xe8e8e8);
                g.fillRect(0,(index*this.getRowHeight()), this.getWidth(), this.getRowHeight());
            }
        }

    I can successfully change the selected color, but my "problem" is that the first element is always highlighted even if I didn't go. The default variable index value is 0, and makes my first item to be always highlighted. Is it possible to asigning the first value of index-1?

    I know I could just substitute the ListField object method, but if I do, my bitmap images do not show up correctly

    Thank you in advance!

    Instead of

    If (List.getSelectedIndex () == index)

    try to use

    If (g.isDrawingStyleSet (Graphics.DRAWSTYLE_FOCUS))

  • Highlight color for blackBerry Smartphones

    Someone figured out how to change the highlight color. Try reading white text on a yellow background is a pain.

    You can take a photo and post it here? I'm very curious.

    Hi Neil, I also thank you for the answer. The ratio is 1300 x 720 (I thought it would be 1280 x 720, but that's what he showed me under the size of the image).

    The highest point is the text, if it is the result of doing what I described in my response to Stan. Right click and select the text, then 'object', "convert to button" allows me to import psd. When you talk using an icon instead, can you give me an example? Does that mean that I could have the text in the chart, but create a circle round beside him in photoshop or similar then convert that circle to a button in again?

    Hiya Sean.

    First problem is the size of the beast - 1300 x 720 is not good for the DVD, nor is 1280 x 720 - you need to 720 x 480 (NTSC) pr 720 x 576 (PAL).

    NTSC widescreen turns a pixel aspect ratio (PAR is something different to the resolution of the image) of 1.2121:1, PAL around 1.4: 1 so the pixels are not square to start by - they are stretched (aka "anamorphosée").

    This will distort the text from the beginning, and if the background uses also text with a climax as the overlay so no one will be the same.

    I gave up with the text for the buttons a return long (it will work in Blu - ray the nature of square pixel addition 256 colours allowed for buttons) because the limit of 3 colors of the subpicture select Layer (the image of the button real itself) really means that at best all overlays of text button will be shredded. I often use a pixel 8 by 4 pixels rectangle, drawn in Photoshop. This seems to properly size.

    Your description of the process is approximately correct in yet. It should work.

  • To remove the highlight color of the tap on mobile devices?

    Someone knows the method to remove the highlight color of the gray valve (on the links and clickable elements)?

    I know it's possible, just may find a way to do it with Muse.

    Especially for iOS devices, but otherwise exclusively.

    Thank you!

    You must add a few lines of CSS in the page code.

    This may be easy for a person at ease with the code, but fortunately in Muse , it is not too difficult to simply add the line like a piece of code in the HEAD of the page. You will find the metadata tab on the Page Properties at normal or (preferably) the master page.

    This is the exact code:

    You can try this page on your mobile device to check it out for a while:

    http://test-tap-PV.BusinessCatalyst.com/index.html

    More information can be found here:

    ARI https://CSS-Tricks.com/snippets/CSS/Remove-Gray-Highlight-when-Tapping-Links-in-mobile-SAF.

    (As you can read in the most recent post on this page, it is not necessary to add the code "listener" more).

    Implementation of other browsers as well mobile device, requires a line more by browser engine in this little CSS.

    Once you highlight the text in the PDF file, the point highlight comment will appear in the list of comments on the right side.

It seems that the only choice I have is to change the highlight color for each nail individually.  Where is the preference of highlight color?

  • Change the selection highlight color

    The default color when a cell or item is selected is a light cyan. On my computer, it is very difficult to discern the text because cyan light highlight color and white text are scrambling. How can I adjust the highlighting/selection color so that the text is readable?

    In fact, the color of the selected item is determined by your operating system. For editing in Windows XP:

    Right-click on your desktop
    Properties
    Appearance tab
    Advanced
    Point of fall down: has chosen "selected items".

  • Film highlight color

    Here's to chance.  You can change the highlight color for what anyone other than black on film?  I can't be the only person having trubble distinguish other solid black outline of the selected slide slides describe not so black solid.  While we're at it, can we change the size of the icons or the amount of title text that is displayed.  It's kinda bugging me.  If I could make the highlight around the hot pink of the selected slide or something unpleasant obvious I would be everything.

    Thanks in advance.

    Sorry, but the answer is no you're not the only person who complains. I'm especially looking at the number on the top of the screen to the right of the menu bar, check the number. Same restriction for another customization you are talking about. Customization of the user interface is quite limited in Captivate, just drag the panels, creating workspaces and that's it.
