• Character style question

  Hello... I have a question of character style. I highlight certain words, go to the character Style palette and click on CREATE a NEW STYLE, but the new style that is created does not capture the font of the text I have highlighted. On the contrary, it seems that I am changing the NONE style, if that makes sense. I know it's a basic question, but I'm stumped. Thank you.

  As I said, highlighting the text will only to pick up the trex highlighted attributes that are DIFFERENT from the underlying paragraph style.

• Captivate 9 Bullet Style questions

  

  In Captivate, if you create a simple text with Arial font selected caption, and then try to apply style diamond list bullet.  The text box displays a rectangular shape rather than the style of the selected chip. This happens with the diamond and with all the style in the bottom row of the style parts.

  For example. like the image below:

  

  Also a few times instead of rectangle appears ' w instead of diamond ball.  Then gets displayed when publishing in the output HTML 5. It's really a pain.

  Someone had this problem? I can't find anything on Google.

  I tried to reinstall Captivate v9.0.1 several times but no luck.

  Running MAC OS X Yosemite.

  One with a suggestion would really be appreciated.

  Thanks for your reply, I've now solved.  You must enable "Windings" police on mac for styles of chip works fine in Captivate.

• Transparent button Style question

  I created a new empty project 9 Captivate. I used the theme of white.

  Thanks for reporting this. Have you tried to replace the theme in the Public folder of the original and re-apply the theme?

• Paragraph styles question: is it me?

  Whenever I create or even try to apply a paragraph style in the ID, despite the size of the font, I indicated in the style, and whatever style I choose, my fonts appear on the page as 24 points. I tried to delete styles and start again, but no luck. It's stopping me from using paragraph styles and forces me to use manual formatting everything until I get this fixed. Could sure use some help!

  Check your character Styles palette. There must be a character active 24pt style. (By design) character styles replace paragraph styles. Character change none style, and that should fix.

  I was wondering how to get the css and all styles. All I see IS the designer of CSS and I can't find simple css tabs styles that I'm used to previous versions of dreamweaver.

  Personally, I prefer to work in mode code with features the DW code hinting.  For my workflow, it is much faster.  But some people really like the Visual Designer.  I think he should just get used to.

• GREP Style question

  I need help with a formula of GREP styles.

  My customer needs to put in the form of specific letters within a word in all uses, so my solution is to character styles applied via the number styles, GREP styles. I don't know the formula to use, however.

• Wacky hyperlink style question!

  I have been looking for this one to death and can't find the answer. Very weird problem. Let me see if I can explain it simply and clearly, the solution is not the difficult.

  > Have a web page with five text boxes to this topic. There is in each text box, and there are two paragraph styles used, but no style character.

  > A line of text is a hyperlink to another of my website pages. CEC of five text boxes has a line (the first line in the text box) that goes to another web page.

  > I have a particular color scheme that I use for hyperlinks that point to another of my website pages. They are dark brown, then Brown clear when you move the pointer, blue dark, when you click to visit and blue sky when it is active. This color scheme has been applied to ALL styles of link implemented in this file of muse.

  -Here's the weird part. This web page has been a model that came with the link set up styles. The original link for this page styles using a different color scheme. I modified this style of special link to set up my color scheme. I've implemented all hyperlinks in these text boxes to have the correct link style and colors, etc.. They seem correct in design mode AND preview mode.

  - But when I saw the page in a browser, the text of the hyperlink back to the original link style color palette... ONLY for its normal state. It uses the right colors to hover, visited and active States. Don't forget there are has five text boxes all set up like this, but one of them has this problem. The others use the right color scheme that goes with the style of binding used.

  -C' is there it gets even weirder to me. This problem only occurs when I use a links to specific pages of a hyperlink for the text. I can apply one of the other links to that specific text, and style of the link colours are perfect in the browser preview. Then I move this text to the hyperlink, its supposed to be using, and the problem of the color appears.

  -Color of style like that a 'normal' relationship became permanently associated with the hyperlink to a specific page.

  -If I create a new text box, say 3 or 5 separate text lines and anything else that hyperlinks will apply to each line... all hyperlinks appear with OK... except fo color scheme associated with this specific link... He uses the blue state text normal, not brown like its supposed to

  • I've tried everything. I remove the text box and start with a new text box and all the new text. Then apply the paragraph styles and link to the hyperlink.
  • I tried this and jumped the style of paragraph and simply applied the hyperlink style.
  • And tried with just the style of link.
  • This file of muse was a model originally. So I deleted all the paragraph initially in this model and fresh styles. The problem happening on another page, so again styles of paragraph resolved other issues, except on this page.
  • I tried to delete the problematic text box, by copying the text boxes on the page which works perfectly. As soon as I move the hyperlink to one who belongs to this text box... bam goes the color normal blue back instead of the dark brown as its supposed to be.

  I learn the Muse that I'm here and his party extremely well. Great program and very easy to use. I studied him this constantly. Someone knows how to solve the mystery?

  It turns out that if you make the color of the visited links the same as normal link color in the model of the Muse, then you can't make the difference between real Normal link color and the color of visited links. This means that a person could the colours correctly configured in the properties of the site and in the file, and then preview in a web browser and not realize that the normal link color is correct... IF the link appears in preview mode before their browser as a visited link.

  So in your example up above, you have the normal and visited link colors exactly the same thing. Who would be able to get an overview of the web page and to know what link they watched? Not me.

  After three days of stress, I realize that I had set the color of the link visited to be identical to the original color model for normal links. In design mode, and preview of Muse, my colors were so everything is correct. But when I saw in a web browser, the normal colors would be the color of the visited link.  And... I didn't know it.

  This explains why the colors of link work properly in all situations except the preview of the web browser. Duh! Rookie mistake.

  This was the only problem I've had with Adobe Muse CC. This really works exceptionally well.

• Rule to the CSS style question: positioning of block next to the image level

  I have this site for example: http://www.ecstechnics.com/modules/page.phtml?dimensionid=18 & pageid = 24 and I had a previous question on this topic: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/427154?tstart=0. Here, I asked for a way to draw a line of fixed length under a header < h1 > (resolved) and a way to draw a line under a heading < h2 > where the line was shortened by an image inline (left or right header, as can be seen in the example of the ecstechnics.com site).

  The problem however is not yet solved for an image on the LEFT of the header. With the above solution and a fixed width line, this line is inspired right through the image to the left.

  I need a solution for a header that is positioned to the right of the image (which I'm floating on the left) and where I want the line to start under the first letter of the heading and extends to the border of the container.

  From time to time, this is the best approach (question to rephrase in a new thread). But give the existing question some time for people to see. A few hours on a weekend is not generally enough time.

  I think the main header (< h1 >) style rule I can do easily: simply apply the correct font style and that's all.

  But for the header < h2 > I need a colored line extending the width of my liquid main content container, unless she is disturbed by a floating picture. Example on the same site: http://www.ecstechnics.com/modules/page.phtml?dimensionid=24 & pageid = 37

  The line spans a certain width (preference with my container of liquid, if it is not fixed wide), but if a picture or other object interferes, I want to shorten accordingly.

• Muse cursor Images Question

  Hi all - I'm wrapping a Web site for a furniture company, and they are eager to have images at the top of each page which are a slideshow. Easy peasy, right? Now, he says he'd like the images that are not front and Center to be eliminated as follows:

  CAPS LOCK and disables cursor styles. If you see the cross, press your Caps Lock button to retrieve your default cursors.

  I have a GUI with a XY Chart and to change the style of mouse (by default against the hair) and indicate the coordinates of graphic I use a timer control where the callback checks the coordinates of graphic.

  Because it can happen that a pop-up Panel appears, I also check the active panel is the current Panel to avoid having a mouse cursor focus on the pop-up Panel.

  I slightly modified your program adding evidence when you set the cursor cross. It seems that the program sets the cursor again when navigating in the menu, even if the system is not honored by this parameter (it is probably correct that cursor remains that by default within the menu, right?). Question is why the system shows the cursor cross inside the pop-up window, but it is indeed honour your choice!

  As you already put out, the problem checks according to the State of the cursor when the window is issued and is not the type of window: I've added two options in the menu to display a panel with InstallPopup and display it in a floating window with DisplayPopup. This last option is useful to see what is happening in various situations when the window partially overlaps the chart, and you can click on it when coming from the area of tracing and the rest of the main window.

  It seems to me the system honors the cursor style when, within a Panel (perhaps because in this area, there are controls that could be exploited on, who knows?) while is shows the default cursor elsewhere.

  Since when the popup appears the timer code is never executed and change of cursor is done by the operating system, I guess the only solution you must exclude the timer of the cursor when you use in the menu.

  (you will see that I changed from 32-bit configuration: I wanted to check if that changes behavior, but it works the same way)

• alternative to the USB port?

  I connected an external DVD writer to my USB hub and used the wrong diet and two USB ports have burned.  Since nothing I plug it via USB is recognized.

  You first need to identify your cursor active then you can set the visible property of the cursor in your Boolean control. Creating a property node, drag to show two properties, set the first wire of ActCrsr years the number of cursor for it (0 for the first slider). Now select Cursor.Visible for the second property and wire your Boolean instead. You can add other properties after that.
