  Hi all is there,

  I don't know if this is the best forum to post this question but I'll try, maybe someone could help me.

  I'm working on an e-Learning project, all content (texts, graphics and audio) are ready, I just put them in a very complete presentation

  To create the presentation, I buy Adobe eLearning Suite.

  For my presentation, I want to have some sort of bar menu at the top of my slides and to do that I started creating a custom widget.

  The menu bar is created with Flash (AS2) and animation are friendly (it was the easy part)

  Now my problem is how can I bind the button actions to my Captivate project?

  I have 10 buttons action should be to move the presentation to a specific slide.

  I try to do with the cpCmndGotoSlide property, but that seems not work

  I also have another interrogation, "exporting" properties of my widget to Captivate to aim for each button slide number?

  Can you please give me a pointer to web sites that explain this?

  I read somewhere that it is possible to pass XML parameters, but I can't find how

  Can you also recommend a book?

  Even if you don't place in the widgets folder, it can be inserted as a widget by insert > Widget or by pressing Ctrl + Shift + W

  If you use a personal responsibility, you need to add the standard menu ICX_STANDARD_GLOBAL_MENU.

  Refer to the section (Global) buttons in the Dev Guide.

• vcops-custom: widget not configured

  Hi all!

  Last week I seted up vCOPS Enterprise + Hyperic to manage virtual and physical environment.

  Everything works like a charm.

  Vcops-custom, I found all the machines physical and virtual, and other things.

  But, I tried to create a dahsboard custom without success. I've added to this the work-health dashboard dashborad.

  I did all the configs but I always get the message "Widget not configured."

  What I am doing wrong?

  You have selected option button 'Provider' under the title of the Widget.

  Other/similar suggestions: sometimes we have to look for where they put the buttons 'Save', according to Widgets

• Add files to custom widget

  Hello

  I created a .mucow widget that adds some css to the head, the html for the body and a script down.

  Currently the .css and .js, work, because I added the files to "add files to download" and in the code related to assets / directory.

  Now my question is, how do I add these files or the images to download them directly in the widget? I can save it as a .mulib and send it to a friend for example.

  Muse will display the content that will be added to the assets, in order to show the files, we will need to add them to our site, or on any page of the site.

  If you used the external links and the files are hosted with the online site, then using the library will pull up the external data and will be displayed on the page, then you should not manually add anything here.

  We can add files to the library, but export as xml and opening on another machine with Muse will not display the files that the site does not include assets.

  So, as you use external links, they works perfectly without add data manually or you can create a page and download all the assets that are used in file on this page, then the user can upload assets to link to the page, and then use in the .mulib file in Muse.

• Custom widget calling does not cpSetValue in run mode

  for some reason, Captivate Runtime calls not through the ExternalInterface cpSetValue... so it's really problematic that I need to retrieve the movie_handle and the variable_handle.

  did someone already experienced this problem?

  For Edit mode and stage cpSetValue is called by the external interface. However when running the widget swf is pulled inside the Captivate SWF. Because the runtime of Captivate is a SWF file as well, he has no need to use external Interface call cpSetValue. So instead, he simply called cpSetValue directly as you would call any other function.

  That's why I was asking if you put this code in an ActionScript class. In this case, if you did cpSetValue private, then Captivate would not be able to call this function because it is against the rules of ActionScript.

  Here again, the simplest solution for this is to build your widget with WidgetFactory. It's an API that takes care of all this background stuff for you. You would never have this problem if you work with WidgetFactory. Check out the blog Widget King learn how it works.

  VCOps 5.7.2 is the version we accounts. We use "personal relationship" as a widget to monitor specific resources. But all resource objects are in a State of unkonwn after configuration and selecting the type of resource. It's a little strange because the same resource objects are OK in relationship VC widget. Is there something wrong in the configuration? Thank you!

  You see "?" State of resources because you have not configured entirely this widget. You have added ResourceKinds as a third party, but you still have to select the parameters that will be used for the 'Workload' category or metric. The needs of each level to be selected, and then select "change metric Mapping ', then select a metric for the"Workload"category and assign limits yellow, orange, red. Remember, it is a custom widget so that you can put "ANY" metric to display for the ResourceKind you are editing.

• How to make all the widget lost focus on any scrolling event?

  Problem: my button tooltips are dragged himself upwards and downwards and reworked on the screen when the screen scrolls.   There is a listener of scrollevent screen that should fire when the scroll event is happening, but it's not.

  Inside of my listeners to focus and scroll I have code that hides the displayed all ToolTips are off widgets development.

  So, why my scrolllistener is not shot?  It fires up when I do scroll by dragging the screen upward if my thumb is on a widge who accepts the update, but not when the affected widget can't receive the focus.  I partially fixed this by adding a mask manufacturers field for mae them focusable - but this seems to be a bug, is there a better way?

  PS: I use eclipse 3.5.2 last plugin, java last Windows XP pro 32 bit, JDE 4.7.  Pack 5 SIM, sim 9530 and real device 9550.

  Screen can be like that.  It has a hierarchy of managers, and I never know who is involved in this operation.  I can only imagine scrolling listener must be set on the manager returned by getMainManager(), but I'm not sure.

  To be completely safe, you can:

  1. create your screen with the explicit NO_VERTICAL_SCROLL indicator.

  2. Add your VerticalFieldManager(VERTICAL_SCROLL |) VERTICAL_SCROLLBAR) directly on the screen.

  3. Add the rest of your fields to this VerticalFieldManager. You can still use setBanner, setTitle, and setStatus for their intended uses, but never add anything directly on the screen.

  4. set all your custom goodies VerticalFieldManager - ScrollChangeListener, paint the background, custom, etc.

  This way control you as much as you can and don't count on the potentially changing nature of the screen.

  Although MovieClip (root) .varX; can operate, right that you want to use the widget API and use mainmov instead of Michael.  You might have a synchronization problem where a variable/object is not instantiated yet.  To be honest, the widget API template provided by Cp is very basic.  If you develop widgets, I highly recommend Widget factory by Infosemantics.  They took the widget API to the next step and it's free.  It is much easier to work with...

• Custom Tools/menu bar VBAI

  I would like to find a way to customize the menu/toolbar for a Vision Builder AI.  It seems that the buttons launch and Inspection stop Insepction cannot be hidden/disabled or password protected operator.  Does anyone know of a way to control these elements?

  I am aware that the VBAI may use a custom interface developed in a LabVIEW VI, but it seems to me that the buttons Run/Stop always appears unless a property for the latter can be accessed.

  How a developer can prevent accidental a machine vision inspection stop if the Stop button is always enabled?

  Hi Dan,.

  Unfortunately, there is no way to disable these keys of Vision Builder AI. That's the good reviews.

  You are right: even when using a custom user Interface, VBAI will display these buttons and they will be activated.

  The only solution to this issue now, is instead of using the Vision Builder of the application's main executable file, create custom LabVIEW user interface and use the VBAI API to open/run the inspection. You will be able to program in LabVIEW user access capabilities and only activate the features that you want to give access to the operator on your UI.

  The developer will always be able to edit the control using Vision Builder AI.

  We are aware of the lack of UAC in VBAI.

  I'm new to veristand and I need to build a custom in veristand device... I went through custom through the model tool on the creation of the device links.

  But I am not able to understand the device exactly how custom runs.

  What value should be passed to the ' point device Ref in "initializing VI. ?

  Is there a specific document I can get the exact flow of execution of the custom device?

  I want to create customized by program channels, sections of the device by reading file... This code, I wrote it in the VI initialization. But when I run this VI I get the error message like "item does not exist. Somewhere I am doing wrong as I am not aware of the exact flow!

• trying to jquery mobile (alpha2) working in a Blackberry widget

  Sorry, I'm rather new with widget development.

  I try to get mobile jquery working in a widget on a blackberry 9780.
  If anyone has tried it, please let me know if it is worth.

  resolved - Packer Widget was to launch "/ bin" directory. I guess "/ bin" is a reserved directory name.
