ATTENTION: the download of the software/following links are only for laptop HP G70-111EM! You can find the download appropriate for your specific laptop here: LINK

I am sure that I have the solution for you! And I'm quite depressed by the inability of HP, its employees and support their policy update

So, there are some steps to follow, to get your Wlan rerun. To be exact: you could 'fix' in one step! But please use my complete guide, step by step! So here go us:

    1. first of all, you must use the latest version of the Bios (January 2011): update of the HP Bios

2 run 'Windows 7 Mobility Center' by pressing the 'Windows key + X' or via your control panel (HowTo).

3 here you can see a section 'Wireless Network '. Can you turn it on, by clicking on the button? Or is it greyed out and disabled? -Let me guess: you can not click on the button, it is grayed out? ...   Because I am sure that you could not improve the situation with previous measures, let's go on.

    4. download the HP Quick Launch Buttons for your laptop and install it.

    5 restart.

6 always: any improvements to date? (I guess: no!)

7 as a next step, download the HP Wireless Assistant and install it.

    8 restart.

9 now the most important step - revive us your wireless network: click on "Start" (Windows logo), enter "assistant wireless" in the search field and select Assistant HP wireless list.

10 upward and running, you should see your device wlan under "wireless devices installed:

Click on 'Properties' and you will see ~ 4 boxes that you can check/Enable. One box ISC 'independent controls for wireless devices. Make sure that this box has a tick inside and click on apply, then when you return to the wireless assistant there should be a box that says "light" click here and my wireless turned blue immediately. However...

    11. .. . If the "Turn On" button is grayed out (yet), you have just to press the orange-light-without wire-hardware button on your laptop once. After a few seconds, the color of the 'Activate' button should change its color and you should now be able to click on it!

    I have it?

I have this problem, too. My laptop (Presario CQ-60) HP has also incorporated this Atheros wireless card.

Try almost everything that I'm still not able to reproduce the situation that suddenly off the wireless card.

I suspect the energy options of Windows to disable the wireless card, but I'm not sure. That's why I disabled all options regarding the WLAN to save energy. This means that in advanced of ALL power management options you have prevent energy saving on the network WiFi Windows and in Device Manager stop driver wireless in its properties to disable the card in order to save energy. Here is a step by step guide:

Once again: I don't know if this can help. So give it a try.

Aside from that is not a real solution, it is only a workaround. Hewlett-Packard could not help me either, they just sent me a new wireless card. In addition they me too (as mentioned above), to reactivate the wlan module in the Bios - BUT here the same power options: there is no such option cause they cut down the Bios extremely * argh * that makes me angry!

For ME, it is clear as mud: there is a serious bug! Whether it's a Bios, OS, wireless card/hardware or a driver/software problem is hard to say. But proposals to uninstall and reinstall the driver of a news/other/more late/old/whatever are worthless. It seems that a command indicates to the wireless card to turn off completely. And a new driver, or a restart, Windows Mobility Center or a handstand can revive - only the HP Wireless Assistant (and a complete new installation of Windows 7 for as far as I remember)!

Interesting is also that if you turn service wireless using Windows (Windows key + X) Mobility Center, can't revive using the HP wireless Assistant, but only with the Microsoft tool. And as we have seen it is the same vice versa. But why? It's so absurd and unnecessary complicated. In fact, I never had installed HP Wireless Assistant under Windows 7. Therefore whenever this occurs, install the HP Wizard to get rid of this annoying bug. But I don't want to have this additional and unnecessary software on my PC.

    In addition: the bug persists.

    Hewlett-Packard, it's your turn!

PS: I'm done with Microsofts Atheros function of the window update driver. In my case it connects faster than any other driver found on the internet (I also tested those on the Czech Atheros unofficial site)...

  • His Dell Inspiron 1420, microphone and camera integrated into the laptop does not work after installing Windows 7 Professional

No sound from my Dell Inspiron 1420 and the microphone and built-in laptop camera do not work after installing Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. My laptop has Windows 7 Vista 32 - bit family premium. My laptop is 64-bit capable and after going through the Upgrade Advisor, I installed Windows 7 64-bit. I can hear sounds when I use a headset plugged into the line-in Jack, but not through the speakers built into the laptop. I already tried new drivers from the Dell website, but I could not find.

Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you.

As it is has no drivers 64 bit Windows 7 on Dell Web site, your best chance is to install the 64-bit versions of Vista (if they exist) in compatibility mode, viz:

Right click on the Vista driver, then select Properties > Compatibility tab. Now choose to run the program in Vista compatibility mode and then apply > OK. Right click on the file and select run as administrator to install it.

    Jess,

I might suggest that the account on the other is the fix.  The idea of alternative / new account was first suggested 06/11/2013 and now once again in Lil_Lisa27 (thank you, Lisa!).  Everything you've tried, it's the only solution that has accomplished the goal: get SimplePass working on your Windows 7 operating system.

You can use the transfer tool to move account data or you can simply move to the new account, and then set the ownership and permissions.

You can also continue to seek a solution based on the knowledge that it was discovered the underlying problem to the environment into account in this particular account.  Once you have your new account to work the way you want, you can certainly leave the account 'broken' in the system and continue to push what you think of new things to try to fix the SimplePass database.

Be sure to create a Restore Point before you make changes to the program or anything outside your account.

    Good luck!

  • Touchscreen driver works only under Windows 8

Install Windows 8 on HP Touchsmart 520 is really a nightmare. Usually, the display driver installation procedure and Voltron Touchscreen product error 9998 drivers. Oddly, I managed to somehow work around this by using a different display driver (some beta-version of Intel), but it was buggy. Since the reinstallation of Win 8 I can't to install more touch screen driver. Given that the Touchsmart series sells on its touchscreen capabilities and given the fact that HP relies on the Microsoft OS is not only slightly irritating that HP has so far not been able to provide drivers of devices that work well with Win 8 Release Preview. What solution do you offer me? Wait? Back to Win 7?

The pilot (Nextwindow Voltron Touchscreen) updates automatically after the installation of Win 8 RTM when you only run Windows Update routine. At least in my case it did, and it works fine.

  • Intel Wimax 5350 works only with windows 7/t400

As someone who uses the Server 2008 on my desktop, when I received my t400 a few days ago I hesitated at the idea of using vista.  so I decided to download and install windows 7 64-bit (Vista 32 bit... I did an install own good... I think).  I haven't heard of anyone having problems with the drivers wireless in windows 7 and, indeed, intel States on their site that windows 7 will automatically install the drivers for the card 5350 wireless.

Unfortunately, during the installation of windows 7 was complete the drivers were not installed and I don't have access to the internet.  I therefore had to take my Office Wireless usb adapter, then plug it to access the internet.  Windows Update has not fixed the problem.  so I installed the visa of intel 64-bit drivers and windows told me that my wimax device has been recognized, the drivers have been installed, etc.

except the wireless card still does not work!  He is currently under listening network cards as area network/2 connection cable unplugged/intel wimax link 5350.  I do not understand... should not it listed as being a wireless network connect as is my usb adapter?

I think that the problem might be that in Device Manager, I don't have a driver for the controller network, serial port pci or pci simple communications controller.

It is quite frustrating and I really regret not putting more thought in this installation of windows 7.

    Thanks for the help

  • VPN works only on windows 7

I have windows 7 professional 64 bit. I can't VPN works with the Iphone. I don't have another computer to try out it. Someone at - it a good guide?

I think that the VPN is not configured on my win7. Any guide or help will be appreciated.

OK... as test that I have connected to this free PPTP VPN service to make sure that my iPod touch VPN features work.

    http://www.bestfreevpn.com/iPhone-iPad-free-VPN/

After configuring the server settings that I could with success to connect, check my iPod Touch IP had changed to the IP address assigned by their PPTP VPN server and I could surf the internet, check email, etc. etc.

    http://CID-25ab668da65c8fbe.photos.live.com/self.aspx/Windows%20images/iPodVPN-status-2.PNG

This screen, on the http://www.whatismyip.com site, verified for me as all my iPod Touch traffic was routed through the VPN tunnel to their server and back again. The reported public IP address is different from what I see of my Win 7 laptop at the same time even if the laptop and iPod Touch are vascular on the same local LAN here.

    http://theillustratednetwork.MVPs.org/LAN/CurrentHomeLAN.PNG

So getting back to your original problem, that I don't really know what is happening with Win 7, at least on my machine and its function of PPTP VPN server integrated. I'm not home now so I have no way to test this functionality with a Windows VPN client.

However, the key is that the PPTP VPN functionality in my iPod Touch works as I expect on your iPhone. It boils down to a problem with the server.

I suggest test you your iPhone against this free VPN server to make sure in your own mind that his work and then figure out what you want to do next. What exactly do you want to do with VPN, if you can get this to work on Win 7 PC server, IE. access to the files, remote and secure web surfing, etc.?

Please NOTE: The free VPN service changes their password access every 12 to 24 hours and idle sessions for more than 4 hours are disconnected automatically. See the note at the bottom of their homepage.

  • Keyboard and USB mouse stop working correctly with Windows 7 Professional x 64

I originally had Windows Vista x 64 on my computer (he's 8 months old, CPU intel quad core 2.0 ghz, 6 GB of ram etc.). I installed Windows 7 RC in July (new installation) and used until 2 weeks ago when I installed Windows 7 Professional edition (I reinstalled Vista and then installed the upgrade to Windows 7 by using the clean installation).

In recent days, I had problems with the mouse and keyboard (the two connected USB). Entries to start acting strangely. For example, using scroll in firefox causes the font sizes change in firefox, instead of scrolling and clicking on links opens the link in a new window, not in the same window. Right click stops running. The keyboard input will simultaneously strange - I can type is no longer (for example in firefox search boxes, or WMP), of if I type, it uses another command to open something, etc. I don't understand what is happening! However, after the reboot, the problem disappears and everything works fine, until the next time it happens (has happened 3 x now). I tried my mouse and keyboard in my old laptop and they both seem to work well. I have not received any pilot error / virus messages / dysfunction (Bitdefender 2010) messages of any kind, and as far as I know, all the drivers are up to date.
Anyone know what is happening? Is there something wrong with my motherboard? And if so, why are there no error message? And why things work again after the reboot? Help, please!

    Hello

Update the drivers for the keyboard and mouse should solve the problem.

My HP Deskjet 722C now works!  I spent several hours trying different things only to find out it was the cable use to connect the printer to our new computer.  He is there not a lot of info on the package of cable but if you watched closely he said it worked only with Win XP, me and Vista.  Who would have thought that the cable wasn't working with some BONE... me!  Once we went and bought a new cable ($40, Ouch!), we were running a few minutes.  I don't know that a cheaper cable is available online.

I wanted to post this in the hope of saving someone money, time and frustration on the other.
