  My internal card reader is not recognized by Windows 7.  I have uninstalled and installed the drivers of many times without effect.  When I installed the drivers from the website of manufacturers or automatically by Windows, it is not recognized.  After installing it manually through the Device Manager, it is now recognized, but returns the error: this device cannot start. (Code 10).  This device worked perfectly with Vista, Win 7 Beta and Win 7 RC.  The USB port on the card reader works, but not the card reader itself.  Can I use an external card reader and read the card.  The driver is: 6.1.7100.30093 by Realtek.

  I solved the problem.  I have checked the connections to the motherboard and swapped USB1 and USB2 connections.  When I reconnected it everything the computer would not start.  I disconnected the connections usb case before and tried and it worked.  It seems that one of the two connections business is bad and the card reader to stop working at the origin.

  Tecra M1 1 GB XP Pro SP3 - card reader SD tea, which normally works with a 128Mb SD card, is not pleased to be working with a 2GB card. He is recognized as a disk but cannot be read or formatted. File system reported as RAW in the properties of the drive. Anyone any ideas?

  Have you tried to format the SD with Windows or Toshiba SD card utility of the card?

  I therefore installed Windows 8 (new install, no upgrades) on the machine and since then the card reader does not work. I downloaded and installed the drivers from the Lenovo Web site and after the failure of Driver Genius, and of ThinkVantage System Update 5.03. Still doesn't work, I install them, but after I reboot it is installed but does not have the card reader (it worked before on Windows 7, the same day, I installed W8). I've updated to 8.1 and the problem persists.

  Yesterday, I did a clean install of Windows 8.1 DVD and did not install anything other than the minimum Lenovo drivers/packages to date (updated system from Lenovo and Lenovo Solution Center). Windows had a notification message that I had to install a driver for the Ricoh media player and its link took me to the download page for Lenovo 2.24.18.01 - what X 230 X 220 and I saw the 2.25.18.01 version too so that, on the contrary (if I was going to risk using the X 230 that I might as well use later). Anyway, I was watching the CPU with a lot of attention and it works fine.

  Note in the case where it is relevant - when I installed the driver, I didn't have an inserted SD card.

  I found the solution. The card reader did not have a drive letter with the disk management tool I put it to the letter h: in my case, and after that, it was finally visible and accessible in the Explorer. It need driver 8.1 however.

  If it is recognized in safe mode you should perform a clean boot to try and isolated the program that is causing the problem.

  OK, so I applied the DJ_Patch as described. (See http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-All-in-One-Software-and/Deskjet-710-720-810-820-100-Series-prin... ) I have Windows 7, 64-bit and a HP Deskjet 722 C printer.  Tried to print the test page, but received the error from the printer.  Tried to add a printer, you are looking for the 722C, but it is not on the list, even tried to do Windows Update to search for my printer.   Tried to restart, which did not work or the other.  Still get error printer.  I appreciate any other suggestions.  BTW, the printer is connected via a USB to parallel port cable.

  My HP Deskjet 722C now works!  I spent several hours trying different things only to find out it was the cable use to connect the printer to our new computer.  He is there not a lot of info on the package of cable but if you watched closely he said it worked only with Win XP, me and Vista.  Who would have thought that the cable wasn't working with some BONE... me!  Once we went and bought a new cable ($40, Ouch!), we were running a few minutes.  I don't know that a cheaper cable is available online.

  I wanted to post this in the hope of saving someone money, time and frustration on the other.

  Your chance.  After a week of research I found someone who has thought about it.  Apparently his self-defense of Kaspersky which is causing the problem.  Under options disable control external sevice disable.  For me, that did the trick.  If it does not for you also try to disable self-defense under both options.  Once I did it was moving smooth again.

• SENTINEL HASP KEYS 3.25 WORKS ONLY WITH WINDOWS 7

  I lived several of these posts here about the hasp and windows keys 7 and I tried many suggested fixes, but nothing works. I installed the software using Windows XP Mode in Virtual PC, I've updated, uninstalled drivers, reinstalled with and without the hasp key inserted. I use the Sigmanest V4, Mastercam9, and Mastercam10 software. All three of these programs worked fine with Windows XP service Pack 3. I did everything that I mentioned above and some of which you try to run the software in compatibility mode. Nothing I try works, Sigmanest software seems like it is recognizing the hasp key because it will be open, but it will not open in demo mode. The two programs Mastercam do not even recognize the hasp key. They open up and say that there is no present hasp key, then close. After years that Windows 7 has been out someone got a solution for this. Maybe they have, but I can't?

  My HP cp1700 printer no longer works with Windows 8, but worked well with Windows 7. It is visible in printers and faxes, but displays always 'offline '. This utility is not correct the problem and I could not find any solution working on the forum. HP support reminds me of Windows drivers, which are installed.   Problem solved with the driver HP CP1700 for Windows 8

  1 module printer via a usb cable to your pc

  2 turn on your printer and let windows to install the printer

  3. go to control panel of configuration, devices and printers, and locate the hp cp1700

  4. right click, properties, hardware, again, then click on to the left of the change settings tab

  5. on the driver tab, click roll-back of driver which previous version of 2012 at the 2006 pilot

  6 follow steps 3 and click on put updated driver and click search automatically and the winows 8 will find for the driver you on the internet and you will have all the features that have been installed for your printer in the end.

  I have my SD properly installed host adapter (well looks like in Device Manager)
  But absolutely nothing happens when I insert an SD card.

  I have a Mass Storage Controller not properly installed and I think that's the reason why, but I can t find any drivers for it.

  On XP, everything works fine.
  Anyone know where to find the drivers for that?
  On the Vista from Toshiba driver page I can only find drivers SD utilities.

  On the European driver Toshiba page, you will find the Flash Media Driver for Texas Instruments. This is the driver for the Bridge Media Slot. This slot allows you to insert an SD card, Memory Stick (Pro) or xD picture cards.

  Try to reinstall and the SD card should work!
