Customize the action of an Android application bar

Hi all

When you run an application on BB10 Android, the operating system creates an action bar, which is located at the bottom of the screen. The bar contains the "info" button, back button, show/hide the button and the button that triggers the menu in the Android app.

I still want to show the bar and delete the info and show/hide the buttons of it. It seems that there is no way to customize the bar to BB 10.1. Does anyone know if BB 10.2 provide APIs to customize the action of the Android app bar?

Thank you

Max

There is no way to customize it.

However at the point 10.2 the show info / pin buttons are gone, there is only a menu button and back.

(Of course, the bar is always shown, and it is possible that we will finally have an option allowing developers to disable the bar for their full application)

    Hello

    I know my question is the same with this question in July:

    However, I would like to know is there a plan in future OS release, where we can Autohide the action bar or customize the action with the custom action bar and icon?

    Thank you..

    Now you can completely eliminate the bar through XML, but that in the next 10.2.1 OS version.

    • Do not sign the bar and deployment via command line tools (after configuring Debug token)

  • AF:query customize the action research

    I have the following question of adf:
    How can I call action programmatically search for af: query?

    I tried the following:
    1. past the queryListener = queryListener "#{bindings." SmetplanViewCriteriaQuery.processQuery}"to: queryListener =" #{myBean.onSearchBtn} ".
    2. bean method:
            public void onSearchBtn(QueryEvent queryEvent) {
                invokeMethodExpression("bindings.SmetplanViewCriteriaQuery.processQuery", new Class[]{Object.class}, QueryEvent.class, new Object[]{queryEvent});
                //additional code I need

               FacesContext fc = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
               ELContext elctx = fc.getELContext();
               ExpressionFactory elFactory = fc.getApplication().getExpressionFactory();
               MethodExpression methodExpr = elFactory.createMethodExpression(elctx,expr,returnType,argTypes);
               return methodExpr.invoke(elctx,args);
            }
    However, invokeMethodExpression does not run the search action. In addition, the queryListener is triggered not only the button "search".

    I think you're missing ' #... '. "in your invokeMethodExpression

  • Why can't I see my downloads in the downloads folder? (Android 4.2.1 Jellybean)

    I just got the new Google Nexus 4 and turned mobile Firefox as my main browser, but I recently discovered a problem. When I download a file (such as a PDF) out of a site to read with quickoffice Android, no file will in app downloads Android. I assumed that the file was only bring bring temporarily a file downloaded for a while from view but when I tried this same process with mobile Chrome, has been in the application of downloads. I installed a third party for the browser on my phone and looked into the downloads folder, it showed for my phone and discovered the files I was downloading with Firefox in it. It seems that Firefox does not display the files downloaded in the download provided with Android application which is a problem because it means that without a third party for the browser, you can not get rid of them. (Petty for sizes but they eventually fill your storage of phones). A download folder is provided with Firefox? Downloads is visible in the application downloads stock?

    Using stock download required additional permissions. We didn't add the following permission to the app.

    DOWNLOAD FILES WITHOUT NOTIFICATION

    Allows the application to download files via the download manager without any notification to the user.

    Downloads can be viewed using a file browser. Personally, I like OI File Manager as it is exactly what I need and nothing more.

  • BlackBerry shortcuts classics / modifier keys to move to the action/menu bar immediately?

    Hello

    I don't know if this feature is already present or my question would be rather a feature request, I want to first post a question.

    Preferring with trackpad and keyboard navigation when you work with a long "list" on the screen (for example, the app world or a music playlist), I often wonder how I can navigate to the "action bar" (menus and blue button "default action") to bottom screen _without_ having to scroll through the whole list down first and without using the touch screen...! ?

    Is there a way to do this already, or would it be a new feature?

    Thank you and best regards,

    Hans-Jürgen

    The only thing I can think of at the top of my head. is to use the B button to jump to the bottom of the list and then scroll to highlight the action bar.

    In many applications, the default action already has a key assigned to it so you can use it directly instead of first navigation to the action bar. For example, in the hub, press the C button to compose a message.

  • Disable the Animation of the action bar while hiding

    BB10 photos Soft mask the action bar when you tap on the screen. When you do so, the action bar disappears immediately.

    In an application of Cascades, if you:

    Page-> setActionBarVisibility (ChromeVisibility::Hidden);

    ... the action bar to slide down until it is no longer visible.

    I would like to disable this animation, but I don't know how. For the standard controls, I do things like:

    ratingControl-> setImplicitLayoutAnimationsEnabled (false);

    ImplicitAnimationController = allDisabled
    ImplicitAnimationController::create (ratingControl)
    . Enabled (false);

    ... but I'm not familiar with a way to get a reference to the action bar itself, or how, independently of any reference to disable animation.

    Thank you
    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,.

    If you switch between hidden and visibility for the ActionBar overlay it will appear/disappear without animation. Overlay, that's what the photos app uses so the image should not resize when the ActionBar toggle visibility.

  • How to create navigation of the action bar on the right side.

    Hello

    Is there anyway to create the navigation of the action bar on the right side. I see a camera application can use it.

    MAZ

    I don't think that there are standard control that does this.

    You can create a container with DispositionAbsolue and place it outside the screen. LayoutUpdateHandler attached to the main container to obtain its dimensions. The second container "abscissa" can be set to the width of the main container, so it will be off the screen. Visibility of the initially fixed false container.

    When the button is pressed, show the container and drag it into the screen with animation.

    The container can contain any content, for example ListView with required components.

    It's just an idea, I have not implemented this specific scenario.

  • Menu of the action on the Navigation bar

    A.JPG

    Hello

    How to remove the action menu in the Navigation bar of the portal?

    Thanks in advance!

    Kind regards

    Akshay

    Akshay,

    Edit the portal skin and add below style (it's just will hide the icon):

    . WCTopNavActions. WCActionsIcon

    {

    display: none;

    }

    If you want to completely remove, then you have to customize the taskflow "oracle/webcenter/webcenterapp/view/taskflows/navigation/SpacesNavigationTopPanel.

  • The action key active Javascript on Android devices

    I created a form in Acrobat DC with various areas to run Javascript when an action occurs.

    Right now I have several used actions. The blur, the mouse down, mouse exit and they all work fine on the PC.

    But once I have try to use this on a device Android, it does nothing. I download different pdf to the at least 6 or 7 that publishers

    allow me to fill out forms, but none has the work.

    I also tried this on a certain application on iOS and it works as well.

    I'm just using the wrong action trigger or is there something I have to do to trigger Javascript code on android devices

    Android offers limited support for Javascript. The actions supported in Javascript, you can find here. Also, some of the specific versions of android and android devices have problems with the execution of Javascript. Would you let know us your android device and version details so that we can confirm the issue?

  • Limit the "Record Type" options in the section search for presentation of the action bar

    Is it possible to limit the options of 'Record Type' in the 'Search' section in the disposition of the action bar for users specific role.

    Thank you!

    Mahesh, if you uncheck the box to go to step 2 of the role that you would restrict access to these types of records in the section of the application and research in the action bar.

  • The Extension installed, went to customize, the post is not there to put it on the menu bar.

    Extension installed for Evernote Web Clipper (EWC). Go to customize the menu bar. The extension is not displayed to put on the menu bar. Other extensions are displayed. Remove the extension from the DRC and reinstall it. Still can not display it. 8.1 Windows running in a 64-bit environment.

    Now, it's a problem with two buttons extension disappeared? Probably an extension 3rd screwing things cause an incompatibility. I call it "don't play well in a group" - taken from some of my report cards in elementary school in the 1950s.

    See problems using Firefox Safe Mode.

    Or you can start disabling extensions until you find which one is causing these two "buttons" to disappear. Or maybe one of us could recognize the culprit to provide a list of your installed extensions.

    How can I customize the navigation bar in Firefox 29? I wish I had the back refresh/stop button in front of the navigation bar!

    One of the developers has been around the forum recently try to answer some of these questions then I quote the developer

    For the entire quote and useful links for corrections and explanations please see

    Each setting you see in a computer program you use requires work; when a developer wants to build something new or improve something, he or she has to go through each related (hidden) setting and test if it still works like before and do that on each platform Firefox runs on. That's Apple's Mac OSX, various flavours of Linux and various flavours of Windows, including Windows XP. This costs time, lots of it, and that amount grows exponentially with each setting that's added. This comes on top of our work to continuously fix, improve and innovate Firefox.
