Customize the margins of the Frame rectangular selection tool during the distribution of executives

Hello

I want to create a montage of images using the rectangular frame tool

As expected, I remove the Rectangle to cover the area where all the small boxes of the IRA.

While always selecting the rectangle, I hit the arrow on the right to start to divide the box vertically and the up arrow to split horizontally.

It is very good.

But I would like to be able to determine and control the size of the gap in the margins between the boxes during the separation.

Is this possible?

See you soon

Use Ctrl + Arrows (command + arrow) (not safe for Mac shortcuts)

Hope that helps.

  • Cannot move a selection while using the rectangular selection tool brand

If I make a selection using the selection tools then I can drag the selection with the same tool, with the exception of the branding tool tubes (RMT).   If I make a selection by using the RMT, then try to drag, then all I get is another selection.  Photoshop CS5 in Windows 8.   Anyone any idea how to get back to the default situation where I can drag the selection, or has my installation has been corrupted somehow?

Most likely you do not have new selection activated in the toolbar options for the rectangular selection tool.

  • RECTANGULAR SELECTION TOOL

A FEW WEEKS PREVIOUSLY CHANGED MY RECTANGULAR SELECTION TOOL, IT USED TO BE, WHEN I USED THIS TOOL, THE CORNERS WERE 90 DEGREES AND THE EDGES HAVE BEEN DEFINED/SHARP (THEN), NOW, THE CORNERS ARE ROUNDED AND THE EDGES ARE FADED/UNDEFINED. HOW CAN I CHANGE I BACK?

    Look in the options bar:

Oh, and your shift key seems to be broken as well...

  • Rectangular selection tool does not move

Hi, I have CS2 on Windows XP. For some reason any (probably operator error) I can move me is no longer the rectangular selection tool in a fixed size around my image mode. When I am developing for, for example, 8.5 "x 11" it just sits there. I used to be able to develop, then move it on the photo until I got it when I wanted to harvest. Does anyone have ideas, what's happened? I also note that the crosshairs now have a small bar in the lower quadrant right when I roll my mouse over the photo. Not sure if this is significant. Thank you.

This button is enabled? See the screenshot.

  • How can I specify exact corners with the rectangular selection tool?

Suppose I have an image width 2000 pixels by 1000 pixels high.  Pixel (0,0) is at the top on the left as you look at the picture.  Using the rectangle selection tool, how can I specify an exact size to choose?  Say, for example, I want to choose the area defined by (0,0), (100, 0), (100 100) & (0.100), how can I do this?

    I use Photoshop CS6 on a Mac with os x 10.8.3.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you

    Kevin H.

Once you have the choice of the exact size you want. You can move the mouse cursor in the area of selection, then click and drag the selection. If you have guide lines and align the guideline allowed the selection will jump to your guide line when you drag it close to them.

If you set line guide first. When you drag a selection section should align with your guide lines.

  • Rectangular selection tool is a full line

The rectangular selection in CS4 tool has started using a solid line instead of the usual dotted. Is there some settings to return to somewhere dotted line, or my software just haywire? Pen is 0px and Style is Normal.

What do you see in your Performance for OpenGL preferences?

I wonder if your GPU settings may have changed.  It would perhaps be a good idea to update your display driver.  What graphics card you have?

  • Rounded corners using the rectangular selection tool

    Hello

Being new Photosop CS3, I used the tool of rectangle Rect (RMT) and saw that my corners are rounded (round/nets) and the bottom of the box is mixed. Is there a way to reset the RMT while I have square corners and no mixing. Also, in time, I would like to have my RMT do so, how can I have rounded corners. (Of course, I did something)

    Thank you

In the Options bar at the top, set the feather to zero.

You can always add feathers to the time where you want.

Or use the form if you want more control. Draw a path with it and convert the path to a selection.

  • Rectangular selection tool broken in CS5.1?

The Rectangle tool no longer seems to work when you choose the option "Size" fixed It seems simply select the area of the image whole regardless of what values are entered.

This is the CS5.1 version of Creative Suite Design Premium CS5.5 application.

I had no problem with this tool in other versions. Can someone else confirm this behavior?

    I am running OS x 10.6.7

    David

Check the units that you specified for the size fixed. My guess is that it is set to something greater than your image.

  • It happens to someone else with the selection tool

I can't move the selection after you make a selection in Photoshop CS6?

I use a PC in Windows 8. AMD A6-3670 Radeon HD Graphics 2.7 GHz. 64-bit OS.

This seems to be a new problem in the last two weeks.

    Thank you.

It seems that you just want to move the selection outline and not the content inside the selection, is that correct?

For the rectangular selection tool and other tools such as Lasso selection, you have to have new selection in the options toolbar made for just the outline of the selection.

  • Defining an exact size in pixels for a rectangular selection area.

I need to set an exact size to my rectangular selection box. Is there a way to do this? I tried to use the tool of crop as an alternative method, but I find that I could not figure out how to set the culture to the exact size in pixels or how move the selection area cultures when it was placed above the image.

    Thanks in advance...

    Hello

What version of photoshop are you using?

Is to use the rectangular selection tool and set the Style to fixed size and then enter the numbers in the width and height fields.

Alternatively, you can move the selection area by dragging inside the selection if you have the option of the enclosed rectanagular tool set to new selection tool.

Then Image > crop if you want to crop the image.

  • Selection tool has disappeared!

    Illustrator CS4

On the left side bar, 4th tool down, I only have the lasso option!  The rubberband is a party!  How can I reset?  Thank you!

Sorry, I misread your first message and edited mine.

There is no rectangular selection tool itself and never has been.

Selection tool and the direct Selection tool however produce rectangular selections.

Is there a better way to choose the "exact year Image border" instead of using the "rectangular selection tool" manually?

If the BG is evenly colored, obviously Edit--> trim using the color of the upper left corner can work. If not - No.
