Customize the Oracle discoverer login page

Hello

Try to add a password for automatic reset for discoverer page. I would like to know to what extent Oracle allows me to this type of customization. Also any advice on where to start would be great!

Thank you

Hi KK
Most things are possible, especially for the Viewer as Viewer using UIX files to control the interface. I don't know exactly the one controlling passwords, but it probably wouldn't be hard to find.

Word of warning however: Oracle is not customers of support or sanction change UIX files so all what is done must be saved first in case you have problems.

Take a look * $ORACLE_HOME\j2ee\OC4J_BI_Forms\applications\discoverer\discoverer * where $ORACLE_HOME is the place on your application of discoverer server where discoverer more and observer to have their home.

There are a number of files in there related to passwords, namely: CECEnterPassword.uix, CECPasswordChangeWillExpire.uix, CECPasswordExpired.uix, CECPasswordWillExpire.uix, ChangePassword.uix, EnterPassword.uix, Password.uix, PasswordChangeWillExpire.uix and PasswordWillExpire.uix. The word password also exists in struts - config.xml in * $ORACLE_HOME\j2ee\OC4J_BI_Forms\applications\discoverer\discoverer\WEB-INF *.

There are a few notes on the Oracle Support on changing some settings in the uix files and these are assumptions they are published by Oracle, but one should always be careful.

I hope this helps
Best wishes
Michael

  • How to manage the list of languages in the oracle bi login page?

    Hi all!

    Can someone explain in detail, how 'select language' in the drop-down list is filled? How to exclude two languages in the list BI 10 g?
    It is well documented how to add languages, but it seems to not work in reverse. In other words, removing l_xx files and modify the .xml files do not help.
    All I see now is this list is populated by < input sawm:param = "3" > of a kmsgLogonLanguageForm in logoncontrolmessages.xml informed, but it is not clear for me, how it works in detail.

    Any help will be appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!

  • What mobile framework Oracle version and JDeveloper are needed to customize the Oracle EBS R12.2.2 and superior?

    What mobile framework Oracle version and JDeveloper are needed to customize the Oracle EBS R12.2.2 and superior?

    If you want to extend the pages of EBS, you need to use the OA framework for 12.2 version.  There is no native support for the extension of EBS by using ADF pages.

    If you want to build the ADF custom applications that integrate with EBS you can watch using the SDK of the EBS (see My Oracle Support) that offers a number of design patterns to allow you to do.

    With respect to the version of Fusion Middleware based on EBS 12.2, take a look at the notes 1911660.1.  11.1.1.6 is currently the base version supplied with 12.2.4 with the 11.1.1.7 version is the highest version supported.

  • BPEL Application Server Control 10.1.3 - oc4jadmin username being exposed in the em console login page

    Hi all

    Security problem - we run Oracle BPEL 10.1.3.  When the Enterprise Manager Application Server Control login page displays the oc4jadmin username is displayed/presentations.  I was not able to find where this configured.  How can I keep the username oc4jadmin displayed on the login page?  Is - this configurable?

    Thanks in advance.

    Any guidance would be helpful

    What I discovered, Oracle has identified this as a bug.

    Bug 7477358 - NEED TO GET DEFAULT "OC4JADMIN" username, NO ISSUE ON THE LOGIN PAGE

    If the customer does not mind moving to javasso, this could be a workaround. Oracle Doc ID 397180.1

    I managed to implement javasso for asconsole; the javasso login page has no username displayed oc4jadmin when the login page is displayed.

  • Customize the Standard FND_ATTACH_UPLOAD_PAGE accessories page to restrict attachments by file type

    Hi all

    I have a requirement in iExpenses, where I need to restrict the types of files that can be attached to an expense report.

    For example, the types of allowed files are .txt, .jpg and .pdf - other formats like .doc and .xls and any other type of file should not be granted.

    In iExpenses, the user navigates to the page of standard bindings to add attachments

    / Oracle/Apps/FND/Framework/Attachments/WebUI/FND_ATTACH_UPLOAD_PAGE - version 120,9

    Since the various forums, I came to know that's not possible/advisable to customize this page.

    I would like to know if I can extend the controller in this page, manage apply / add another button events, check for file type and throw eror if its not supported.

    Pointers/code snippets are greatly appreciated!

    Thank you

    Arun...

    Solution below:

    Customize the page to extende the controller to the header: level of commitment to set.

    Instead of the standard gamepad - oracle.apps.ak.attach.webui.AkAttachUploadCO, attach your custom controller.

    Custom controller will have the code to check the attachment MIME type and throw an error if not valid.

    Code below:

    package xx.oracle.apps.ak.attach.webui;

    Import oracle.apps.fnd.common.VersionInfo;
    Import oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.OAPageContext;
    Import oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.beans.OAWebBean;
    Import oracle.apps.ak.attach.webui.AkAttachUploadCO;

    Import oracle.cabo.ui.data.DataObject;

  • The NAC authentication login page

    Hi all

    I'm in the middle of the layer 2 OOB deployment NAC configuration. The client machine got the IP access LAN VIRTUAL (VLAN Mapping), but nothing happens after that. Suppose that, when I open a web browser authentication login page will appear.

    Can someone point out what's wrong or guide me. Thanks in advance.

    Rgds,

    Fauzan

    Fauzan,

    Hi, can you try check the subnet settings manage? Make sure there is an unused ip address in the subnet of clients space that sends queries to the vlan unreliable correspondent you installation in your map vlan. If the mapping of 100-> 10 that the ip address of the space of vlan 10 is not used but him vlan assigned to the managed subnet is on vlan 100.

    Then, I would say check dns. Is that what the desitnation (e.g.www.google.com ) traffic can be resolved by the dns? If this is not the case, try http://1.1.1.1. Also on the same token, what do you use for CERT? They are based ip or fqdn? Also check and see if the client can resolve the fqdn of the cert of CASES. If you use ip based, see what happens when you try to browse to the ip address of CASES.

    Thank you

  • How propate error message OID to the OAM SSO login page

    Hello

    I set up OAM with OID as the data store. I have a password policy in the OID such that if the user enters a bad password more than 3 times, then the account is locked for a specified interval. I would like to know how to tell the user (via the SSO login page) that
    (a) he entered a wrong password / authentication failure
    (b) the account is locked

    Thank you
    Joe

    You can create an authfailure.html page that displays a name of user and password not valid message with the login page and mention this url unless authorized redirects URLs in the political field. In addition, mention the redirect challenge form authentication url based in http://webserverhostname:port
