Cut a section of the diagonal line

Hello

I'm working on an invitation with line segments.  When I cut the line segment there is always a small gap when you zoom in, which is between the edge of the page to the line segment.  I'm looking to find a way to close the gap.  Using the scissors tool it crops not the segment of the line up against the edge of the page. A few tips on how to have a diagonal line with a line segment right trim? I also tried the knife and fade to and still sidelined.

See photo, for example the gap.

  • After the FrameMaker is imported in RoboHelp, some items/styles appear in boxes with diagonal lines

I have a chapter in FrameMaker which does not convert on RoboHelp correctly. The text and images in this section appear inside the rectangular boxes with diagonal lines. When I compile the Help menu, this section is oblique with the curiously resized images and large spaces where they do not belong. I guess that these boxes with the average of the diagonal lines something obvious and hope someone can share what this might indicate the error?

I thought that maybe he had some problems in the structure of the FM model that is the source, but it seems in good condition. Curiously, all the other sections in the same chapter are created in a manner identical outputs without problem.

    Thanks in advance,

    Hello

The diagonal lines are probably conditional build tags. Do you have the conditional tags in FrameMaker? If so, the conditional tag HR is also conditional on FM. For your problem else Jeff may have even more ideas. Also try searching the forum for problems of framemaker and image. There was a couple of posts on this topic in recent months.

  • How do a diagonal lines filling?

I want to fill a simple box of diagonal lines. How to make a fill with different widths of line style?

Ok. So what you want to do is to create a fill pattern. I'll try my best to explain it in terms of cs5 as bosses have changed since then.

You must first create the lines. Draw two vertical lines high to 1 "ETV 1" out. Select the two lines, and then click object > blend > make. After mixing, click object > blend > mix Options. Check the "Preview" in the lower left. Click the menu drop-down (I believe the default is "smooth color"). Select "specified steps" and enter the values in the dialog box until the lines look appropriate on the other distance. When you are finished, click ok.

Select the blend object, and then click object > break down. In the dialog box, make sure that only the "Subject" box is selected. Click on expand.

at this point, you have a group of selected vertical lines. Rotate 45 group * draw a rectangle around the outer edges of diagonal lines.

now that scale down so that the whole box is inside the diagonal lines.

Select the two objects, and then click object > clipping mask > make

duplicate this object and keep it on the side (because if you need to adjust the width of the line in the future, you will need this). now select the original one and go to your Pathfinder palette and click 'crop '. This gets rid of the clipping mask, so you're left with diagonal lines extended.

Now drag the object extended/cropped in your Swatches Panel and voila. don't forget to name the new filling of model so that you can identify it (you do not want to have several different models, called 'New model Swatch 1' and 'new shade of motif 2 "etc. etc..)

If you need to adjust the width of the outline for a different reason, see the duplicate what you did before and isolate the traits to adjust the width of the line and repeat the above steps to crop.

  • How to cut a section out of a certain letter in the living text?

    Screen Shot 2013-04-18 at 10.13.22 AM.png

As you can see from this image in InDesign, I want to have the last part of the skin of "N" behind this diagonal line. However, while it is hard to tell in this picture, the background color is a gradient, so that I can just do color box. Anyone know if it's possible to do? I want to keep the direct text, are not described if possible. Pathfinder does not seem to work.

Draw a picture of hands on the top of this text box. Set it to no fill, no respect. Cut the block of text, select the new image, select "paste inside".

  • Satellite L750 - diagonal lines on the screen

Last week my Satellite L750 had pale grey diagonal lines connecting the upper left corner to the lower right corner. They cover the entire screen.

Tried to check for update nVidia drivers in Control Panel configuration, but Windows says I have the latest version.

No idea how I can solve this because it is very annoying.

How can you solve this problem?
As a first step, you should check what is may be defective. I'm 100% sure that it has nothing to do with the drivers.
What you can do is to connect the external monitor to your laptop and check if the same will be on screen. I guess not so in my opinion, your display is faulty and must be replaced.

Sometimes when I left click it will move for me and sometimes it does not move or go anywhere. What I am doing wrong? In addition, there are a clip in particular that the toolbar will not pass through the play. Like the above, sometimes it works and sometimes not.

  • Printer cuts the bottom line

My printer is HP Officejet Pro L7780 all-in-one.  My computer is running Vista.  Periodically, the printer cuts the last line of printing anywhere on the page.  It does when printing from Quickbooks and Word, and probably other programs, too.  Once he decided not to print the last line of an invoice in QB, no matter how many times you try, it will not print it.  But then it will print the next invoice to the customer very well.  How can I solve this problem?  Thanks for any advice, it's very frustrating.

Sections of the alignment of the cartridge D2345 C1 thru 17 map; D1 to D11 and E1 to E11 lines are slanted.

Replaced the cartridges HP21 and HP22 and same result and then cradle will not move message appears.

Jammed paper or any other obstacle I see there.

Running Window XP reloaded the latest versions of the drivers installation and updates.

Tried to print and copy fate starts well but ends up printing off the page and a tilt.

Test printing with the HP scan doctor indicates eveything OK.

Tried to foil alignment after attempting a print and same result, Sections C, D and E tilted.

Is it Terminal? Do I have to pull the plug and look for a replacement?

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Hello OG53

It doesn't look good if you receive as many different errors. It doesn't sound like the printer may be on its way. Try the rest of the article below, even if it will deal with transport, which may be causing the cartridges to print at an angle. It doesn't look like a problem with the scanning mechanism both with ink system. You want to be looking for a replacement.

Transport is stuck and will not move

  • TextStyle.lineHeight on a label causes the last line of text to be cut?

I have the following QML (hosted in a TabbedPane, so who could possibly make a difference):

    {Of container
    {Label
text: "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, adipiscing elit computer."
    Multiline: true
    textStyle.fontSize: FontSize.XLarge
    textStyle.lineHeight: 0.8
    textStyle.color: Color.Black
    }
    }

Setting the property textStyle.lineHeight to something less than 1.0 is what I expect, except that the last line of the text of the label is cut down. Any ideas how to get around this problem, or if I do something wrong?

Screenshot of the results, a device Dev Alpha B running OS 10.0.9.348. Results look the same on the simulator of 10.1.

It looks like a bug. As a solution, try adding "\n" at the end of the text.
