Cut away pieces of forms

I created a model that has many forms in it. Some forms are hanging out in front of the rectangular slab that is in the back of all forms. No problem with the model.

But now I want to cut out the pieces of model forms that are not rectangular tile - not all forms, just the parts that are expanding outside of the tile. I tried the Pathfinder commands, but none of them seem to do the job. Splitting paths with the knife and then tool by removing the works of surplus parts, but it is very difficult to make a specific slice.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Jay,

You can do the dirty work and:

(1) create a path enclosing the tile;

(2) select all and object > clipping mask > make.

(3) in the drop-down list the palette/Panel transparency check something other than Normal;

(4) object > flatten transparency (default settings including 100% vector).

    Good evening.

How can I cut a piece of the ellipse to a photo?

I have a picture and I would cut a piece of an ellipse of it and after that I want to save in a file photo.

    Hello

To cut an image so that it has a form of ellipse, you must use the elliptical selection tool.

Open Photoshop, then open your photo file. Double-click the photo layer in your layers palette to unlock the layer:

Once you have double-clicked the layer, a dialog box will appear asking you to specify certain properties such as changing the name of the layer, opacity, etc. You can change these if you want, but for now, we will leave them in their default settings. Click 'Ok' to continue.

Now that the layer is prepared and ready to be edited. Go to your toolbar. Find the box tool selection Rectangle, by default, that he has to have the rectangle tool set. To retrieve the elliptical selection tool, click and hold pressed down and a window with more pop tools - up will appear. Select the elliptical marquee tool.

Now click and drag your image to an Ellipse. You will get a selection area marked by a perimeter of "mobile dash" around the selection of the Ellipse:

If you're on a PC, click on CTRL + SHIFT + I to make a reverse selection. If you're on a Mac, click CMD + SHIFT + I. This will select the outer area of the ellipse that we come to draw with the elliptical selection tool.

Now, click on the your keyboard delete key. This will reduce the rest of the image and the leaves you with an elliptical cut your image!

I hope this helps! Let me know if you need more clarification!

  • Cut equal pieces of audio file very long

    Hello!

I'm looking for a way to cut equal pieces of 168 hours of audio time.

Problem: T he National Council of Radio and television asked for a report from the last seven days broadcast. I have exported audio from shtirlitz but now I need to cut it into equal portions of 60 minutes each and give appropriate names

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!

A .wav file is always better that a .mp3 if you can get your hands on one. But at that length, you would still have to split the audio into several .wav files to contain this amount of audio. Normally the .wav files are limited to 4 GB in size.

So in your case .mp3 is probably better. We mp3 editors and file separators so you can divide an MP3 easily enough, but probably not in exactly 60 minutes pieces. Just search the web MP3 Splitter.

  • How I cut away an outline object?

I'm new to illustrator, and I'm trying to recreate the Orange Lanten symbol for a hoodie.  I want to make a single color to the proof of the printer.  For this I need to know how to cut a circle symbol.  Here is an example of the symbol, but instead of a white background and the black lines, I would like to make a circle of gold with the line of cut away so I don't need 2 print colors on the jerseys.

    orange.jpg

All features must be converted to outlines. You then use the pathfinder (the palette, not effects) to combine the symbol. After that, use the pathfinder button to exclude to perforate the symbol out of the circle. Assuming you are using Illustrator CS4 or 5. Otherwise, you will need to press ALT when you click on the pathfinder button.

  • Cut shapes from other forms

I'm not sure of the best way to go about this suggestions so very welcome!

I have a layer containing a large number of forms. Above that, I have another layer containing many forms.

I want to cut when higher forms cut across at the bottom.

Now, I tried to use less prominent, but I can say it only lets remove you higher forms of a single shape on the bottom. The forms are too numerous to repeat duplication and make less front for each.

I don't think I can use masks, either the file is for a screenshot, with each layer being a separate color none overlap.

Is there an easy way to get what I'm after?

  • How to make small pieces of form in a solid shape in illustrator?

I downloaded a vector printing it is a camouflage design with forms made from pieces of mosaic.

    It's the sample:Screen Shot 2015-08-08 at 9.45.23 AM.png

As you can see, the colored blocks are actually all the little pieces separated, but they are the form of the OMB. What I was trying to do was to make these pieces together a solid form. I want to do the solid WHITE. The only thing I could do was to use the pen tool and just shoot to make this filling Uni. As you can see, I tried to do this for 2 of them. But I was wondering if there was a faster way to achieve this? Because ultimately, I want to do it for all the colored pieces - because I like the shape of the OMB here. Or I would go only a few pieces of mosaic. The gray part of this image is a solid background color. These are all pieces of distinct vectors.

I hope this makes sense? I just hope there is a quick solution to fill these pieces in full solid.

    Thank you!!!

First to use object > path > offset path to enlarge rooms. Then use the pathfinder (from the Panel) fusion

  • I want to cut a piece of a picture and paste it into another picture.

I want to do something in photoshop that is EXTREMELY easy to do in Microsoft Paint, but I can't use paint, because the file size is too large.

What I want to do is cut a part of the image to a file, and paste it into another file, move to the location I want.

In painting, I would choose the area I want to cut/copy.

    I'd then cut or copy.

I then opened the new photo

I would then paste.  This would cause MS Paint paste the section copied in the upper right of the screen.

I then propose section glued to the desired location.

It was very, very, very simple.

How do these same steps in Photoshop?

I am a collage.  The pieces of cut/copy range in size.  I have MS Paint, I just stick, then move them.  You don't have to accurately know their size.  I can't do the above in Photoshop using "paste in" because I have to know precisely the size of the portion that I just cut.

You have the tool to move (V) of the selected?

Could you please post a screenshot with the Panel visible layers?

  • How to cut a pieces to each saw tooth waveform?

I spent a lot of time trying to tackle this problem and hope someone can offer a useful overview.  I have attached the VI described here.

I am using an NI USB-6212 data acquisition-related Labview to create a voltage ramp, which results in a laser through its analysis.  The laser is pointed at a detector, and at the same time, I read in a signal of the detector using the same DAQ. Because the detector is illuminated by the laser, it shows the scan pad.  I would like to repeat what voltage scan and read - in indefinitely.  A large part of this system works.  I used the "RampPattern.vi" to create a sawtooth wave, which is exit with success the acquisition of data.  As expected, the entry of the sensor shows the same trend sawtooth.  However, I am having a lot of trouble dealing and displaying the digitized seesaw of the sensor, which is currently read in as a waveform.

The challenge that I can't move is manipulate or collection of the tooth of saw so that I can do two things:

    (1) view the entrants saw tooth a 'tooth' at a time.  Each saw tooth represents a laser scan and I would like to see the ramp to scan incoming as a single slope, not a series of sawtooths.  Ideally, as each analysis came, he would replace the previous analysis (as in the "Graphic" Labview), while the plot would show a stationary scan that would flicker to the entrance of the last analysis.

    (2) divide the entrants on each table ramp sawtooth never updated that can be followed with mathematics, stored in a file, functions etc.

I have a feeling that it wouldn't even be a back of a donkey for an experienced user, but I was hooked on it.  Could I collect the analog signal entering the detector into pieces that are the length of each ramp?  I could an event at each ramp that would split the waveform in a table?

I am open to any suggestions!  I thank you for the input and help,

    Sam

    Problem solved!

The solution was to wire the parameter 'number of samples per channel' in VI of reading DAQMx.  I put the 'number of samples per channel"number of points to each scan sawtooth (this is the same value as 'number of waveform samples", used to generate sawtooth in BasicFunctionGenerator.vi).

The analog playback VI DAQMx now reads a sawtooth, both.  The waveform graph shows each saw tooth, at the same time as they appear.  Also the output waveform has the appropriate dimensions (the duration of the analysis), and I can perform mathematical operations on each single sweep.

Works great! I posted the working code.

  • How to cut a piece of a cut piece (already cut mask)

I learned to use the clipping mask and its great... but some things that I cut out and there is more inside to cut... When I use the pen tool to describe the section I want to remove, then choose the clipping again mask, it removes the part of the image that I want to keep.

    ffxdesign,

If I (put) understand it, you can free the mask that you did, and then select the two/all paths for use Clipping Path (s) to the work and the underlying object > compound path > make, and then apply the (new) clipping mask.

  • How to stop a picture fill when you cut a comic text/form inside?

    Hi guys,.

New to HAVE it and I am puzzled by this problem.  I have a vector texture of steel that I want to apply to the text.  I'm used to the AE and PH where I can use the blending modes and all to get that to happen, but HAVE is different.

I write my text so I bring texture.  and I can not get the texture appears only in the text.  So I take the texture and do a shade.  This works.  Is this the only way?

Another thing I did was to create the text and use the draw inside the tool and place texture in the text.  Which works very well.  Now, I want to use the tool parts and the part of text line break.  I turns text into an overview (with texture drawn inside), and no problem.  I'm going to use the online tool and make all the lines... still fine.  When I click the divide button in the pathfinder / plan of the text disappears and all I'm left with is the texture and is supposed to be in the text.

What I do to work?  Is to do it in the best grade average?

With I want to break the text which has an image drawn on the inside?  Is it possible to do?

I can do everything with a scalable vector?

    Help, please!

    Thank you

    Jay

    Follow this exactly

    1. Fill a rectangle with pattern
    2. Set on the top type
    3. Edge type
    4. with the selected type object > compound Path > make
    5. Select all
    6. Object > clipping mask > make
    7. Draw lines on top
    8. Select all
    9. Pathfinder > divide
    10. you assign to activate turn into prefs change pattern tiles
    11. Ungroup
    12. Drag a shape on

#4 sounds redundant. Why make a compound path on top a compound path already existing. Too long a fair explanation try both ways and you will see the importance that the part is.

#10 will make it so the contents of your form will not move when you drag, so the original image will be intact

    Hai!

I have a problem with a vector art that I downloaded on the internet. I need to cut out these droplets around the projection and multiply in free space. But when I try to do so, as in any other vector image that I worked on, all this falls apart. What I am doing wrong?

  • How can I cut a shape from a bunch of other forms that exist on different layers?

OK so I just can't understand it on my own, I want to cut the outline in black on the other shapes at the same time.  Other forms are all on different layers individually to screw with the order layers.  How can I just cut black on other forms?  Thank you.Help.jpg

So what is now black must turn transparent instead? You want to really cut or hide would be enough? Because then it might work

    What you need to do:

This is the configuration. The innerlayer structure is okay, but you need a layer as a parent of all the others. In my case the lines are lines of variable width

Sorry for the German screenshots. The panels are similar, the names are:

Ebenen = layers, look = appearance, Kontur = race, Transparenz = transparency

These traits should be set to 0% opacity. In this case, I put the full path to 0%

Then you need to target the parent layer and set it to piercing group

This option is located in the transparency Panel (click "View options" in the menu)

This also works when you do it just for the outline of an object

In the appearance Panel, you can set only the stroke to 0%

But in this case you must also assign that specific object group keen to puncture the complete run of it.

  • More simple workflow possible cut pieces of video and video filling in first

I'm looking for the workflow as simple as possible cut out pieces of a video and video filling in first. I am a novice, so I'm not so familiar with the software.

Basically I have a subscription to the first (cc version) purcased since it is able to manage any video format. I may have a few images of the GoPro video taken from screenshot software, something taken with a video camera, etc. Although the video contains parts I want to throw. I need to quickly cut that out and trom it.

    I'm looking:

How to mark a part of a video. That cut.

Mark the beginning and end of a video. That cut.

Export the video as a MP4 file or another file format which reads easily on a Windows machine with good quality.

I want to use keyboard shortcuts as much as possible.

Looking forward to your expert advice.

There are two basic approaches, with multiple ways to accomplish each. I'll limit to a single workflow for each approach.

APPROACH A: only inserting the segments you want from the Source monitor in the sequence

    1. Double-click A Clip to load it in the Source monitor
    2. In LUN Source, use the JKL keys to rub to the first image of a segment you want to use.
    3. Press I to develop
    4. JKL in the last image of the same segment
    5. Press O to set the point
    6. Press, [comma] to insert in/out segment in the timeline (see below for a note on the creation of a sequence)
    7. Repeat steps 2 through 6 for other segments of the same clip.
    8. Repeat the foregoing for Clips B to Z

B APPROACH: By cutting out segments you don't want the sequence

    1. Add Clips A to Z of a sequence in the order you want to run
    2. In the timeline panel, use JKL to rub the last image of a segment you want to cut.
    3. Press O
    4. Press (quote) to "extract" (cut the defined segment and the gap) [not required to Point to the first segment because first will assume that frame 0 is the entry point...]
    5. JKL to the first frame of the next Segment to be cut
    6. Press I
    7. JKL in the last image to cut out
    8. Press O
    9. Press on '
    10. Repeat for the rest of the content of the sequence.

These workflows is for on the simplest possible sequence: a series of clips on the same track (i.e. no compositing superposition or Picture-in-Picture) with all the sequential clips the clip a source, then another. If you want to have several layers or cut Clip a to B new Clip in Clip, then things become more complicated.

As to the sequence, since you work with the contents of a series of cameras, you can have clips of different resolutions (SD, HD and even Ultra HD). In this case, you must decide what sequence parameters to use. You usually get the best results by setting the sequence to match content with its very small dimensions, then reduce other content at your leisure; Scaling up generally returns the quality degradation.

While you might start thinking you're doing a very simple mounting, the complexity is almost sure to grow, in order to invest in the time to become familiar with the basic workflows will pay dividends. • Cut by the compound shape changes the first form of compound?

    I use Illustrator CS3 on Mac 10.5.8.

I am creating a form composed from a compound shape, that I have prepared.

    Img1.jpg

The first part works fine. Can I combine the form hexagonal-compound - I created from multiple forms of hexagon.

I then want to cut the edges on a part of the shape composed (using a box of 4 rectangles), which is supposed to give me a rectangle containing only the lines of the shape in is spent inside this rectangle (image 1).

But when I cut my Hexagon-compound-form all about box (using the Pathfinder window), the hexagonal shape of the complex inside behaves strangely, with just lines showing and others missing lines (picture 2).

    Img2_2.jpg

I want to just cut the lines that cover the rectangles, rectangles and leave behind the lines in my Hexagon compound form, as they appear in frame 1 and not have hexagonal hollow-compound-shape changing which lines appear and disappear.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Compound of forms not required. In this example, the palette Pathfinder not used at all:
