cut completely to icloud

Hi we have an iPad in our church building to run our sound system, where there is wifi, but not outside the connection to wide band.

Whenever we turn on the iPad it asks to enter our iCloud email address and sign in iCloud.   I took the habit for her and everything just cancel and exercise, but apparently this morning he threw a new operator who was trying to connect.

Is thereanyway for this off completely and stop it from appearing?

Thank you

Alex

If there is no use to iCloud on the device, simply remove the iCloud account. Apparently, someone uses iCloud to something. Is this correct?

  • Z3 double broken screen cannot remove data or cut completely.

HI, I have a Z3 twice and broke the main screen. I want to delete all data before sending it for repair but the screen does nothing.

I went through the steps detailed here - http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Z3-Z3-Dual/unresponsive-screen/m-p/1007534 but I'm not able to switch the phone off completelly - only a soft restart using the power and volume button - the phone then restarts before I can move on to step 4 where I connect the usb with the low volume button. At that moment the phone has rebooted.

Which allows the phone to completely run out of battery is not an option as above requires at least 80% battery even when it is plugged.

Is there another way to delete all data or another way off the complete phone using other buttons?

  • iCloud and Outlook

I'm late to the discussion of problems Outlook-iCloud. I have Windows 7, Outlook 2013. iCloud slipped all my elements of calendar and contacts and completely wiped out my mailing lists. All I want is to get rid completely of iCloud for Windows! I understood how to get contacts and calendar items back and reconstruct the mailing lists, all by hand in case of absolute necessity, even if many in this discussion suggested other ways to do it. My big problem is where all these visible items in Outlook folders are stored now. They seem not to be in the iCloud, and I was not able to determine where they are. Some are extremely important, and I can't afford to lose. Can someone tell me where the hell are they? There is a .pst file that is updated regularly. If they are there, how can I check this? I spent an hour each with a 'genius' of Apple and a technician in the Microsoft store, and does not have a clue! I have the latest version of iCloud for WIndows from 29/09/16. I'm syncing iPad Air2, v.10 and iPhone OS 5, not updated to v.10. Thanks for any help you can give me.

  • blocked: follow-up - finishing establishing iCloud

I just activated two-factor authentication and I now have my iPhone 7 has a red badge on the application settings icon. When I type in settings, I see 'Followed' at the top of the settings menu. By clicking on it then takes me to a screen that says "complete the iCloud configuration" with a menu option to continue.

By clicking on continue takes me a prompt to enter a two-factor authorization code - but I didn't receive it on any of my other trusted devices.

The strange thing is that my phone 7 is already configured with two factors and is a trusted device... for example, I can receive 2 factor codes sent to it when I need to connect to appleid on my master's degree. In addition, all my iCloud services seem to work on the iPhone well 7.

It is strange that I'm stuck with that boring badge (which is anguish for my OCD...)

Any ideas how to solve this problem?

Try resetting the device, and then try to new development.  When looking for the code, check your laptop, desktop, or iPad.

  • Change ID to iCloud to new Apple ID

I looked at previous discussions and it seems that the way to do is at the sign of the iCloud (by removing the content from the phone / laptop) and go from there. My problem is that I have updated the 9.3.5 iOS and then changed my Apple ID. So now, he wants me to sign the old iCloud ID to validate me turn off find my iPhone is able to disconnect from the iCloud. It seems to be stuck

Okay, don't know what it is you are asking. Can you please tell us what specific problem you run into? Who wants you connect to the old ID iCloud? He asked just for the access code for this ID? If so, you must provide in order to turn off my iPhone Activation lock find it before you can complete the iCloud signout.

Did you change your Apple ID to a new email address, or you haven't set up a new Apple account? If you just change it, then use your current password to sign the former version of the iCloud ID. If you have an Apple account, you will need the access code for the old account from Apple in order to disconnect.

  • iCloud is storing more than what I have on my device

I'm running at 1.4 GB of data completely updated iCloud up-to-date left my shared acount of Apple iPhone and iPad. In order to clarify some space, I took to deleting some photos on my iPhone and iPad, whereby my available storage has not changed. I checked storage management > iCloud photo library and he says it's to store 40 photos and 11 videos. The number of photo is correct, but I currently have no video on one of my devices. I deleted my section recently deleted on my Photo app, so I know that they are not there, and I just do not know where these videos or how to delete are stored. I didn't record all new videos on one of my devices for more than three months now, so I really don't understand what is happening.

    Any response is appreciated.

I would start by checking the video application.

  • Backup both iCloud and Mac iOS devices?

I went to a Genius Bar appointment today where the genius told me I can't back up my devices iOS by connected directly to my Mac. He said that the backup to iCloud over wifi is the same thing and I need to do both. He said if I've changed devices, I could do the restoration completely to iCloud, I don't have to restore from a Mac or time Machine.

Can it be true? What applications I, who hold their own data? Can I count on iTunes store up to iCloud?

Secondly, whenever I plug in my device iOS directly on my mac, iTunes/Photos wonder if I want to import a large number of photos, and then I end up with duplicates in my library of Photos.

Of course, it is true. Since the launch of iCloud, Apple gives you the ability to save your iCloud or your like before Mac iOS devices. The advantage to backup your iPhone to iCloud, is that a backup is performed automatically when you load your iPhone and it is connected to a Wi - Fi network. See-> about backups in iCloud and iTunes - Apple Support

Note that you can do iCloud backups backups and iTunes at the same time if you wish. When you plug your iPhone to your Mac, iTunes will keep the possibility to make a local backup if you want to.

Regarding your second question, I suggest to create a second thread with it, so that you don't mess this thread with different themes. This will allow people with the same issue find the answer quickly.

  • Trying to restore my calendar of office and then stop using iCloud

Is there a way to restore my contacts and calendar to desktop from iCloud, save them, and then disconnect from the iCloud without losing my data?

I was never able to synchronize to iCloud without problems, multiple contacts, desktop calendar lock trying to sync, etc.  I restored my iPhone and cleaned the contacts with iMazing duplicate (which have yet to duplicate groups) so I have something to use on my phone at the moment. I am disconnected from iCloud on devices and the system prefs. until I have find this.

While cumbersome, and a one-way path, sync via iTunes was reliable. I used only iCloud to locate my phone. As I could not to iCloud master, I want to go back to the manual synchronization.

    Hi sdb2013,

I understand that you no longer want to use iCloud for keep your data synchronized between your devices.  I'll include information here for troubleshooting iCloud, just in case you change your mind.  The first thing I would say is to make sure that your MacBook Pro is backed up via Time Machine and your iPhone is saved via iCloud or iTunes.   Then, take a look at the resources below that shows the steps to follow to back up all data you have in iCloud.   If you disable the iCloud as calendar features on your iMac, you will be asked if you want to keep the data on your computer.  It would be a starting point.

iCloud: change the settings of the features in iCloud

You can change the iCloud features you use on any of your devices by turning functions on or off. You can also disable iCloud completely.

When you disable a function iCloud on a device, information stored only in iCloud for this feature are no longer available on the device. If you turn off your Mail, Contacts, calendars, Notes, reminders, iCloud photo library or iCloud Drive on a single device, you can always review and change your information at iCloud.com and on another device you have set up for this feature.

In some cases when disable you a feature in iCloud on a device, you can choose to keep a copy of the feature on this device information. The copied information is not synchronized with iCloud. If you disable mail, Contacts, calendars and tasks in iCloud for Windows on a computer Windows, information stored in iCloud remain available in Microsoft Outlook, but it is not updated with your other devices.

Before you disable a specific feature on all your devices, or before shutting iCloud completely, you can archive a copy of your iCloud computer data. For more information, see the Apple Support article Archive or make copies of your iCloud data.

Turn on or off features iCloud

Depending on the settings of the device you want to change, do one or more of the following:

On your iOS device: go to settings > iCloud, then type to enable or disable features iCloud.

On your Mac: choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, click on iCloud, and then select or deselect each feature.

Some features are not available or are listed differently in older versions of OS X.

On your Windows computer: Open iCloud for Windows, and then select or deselect each feature. To have your changes take effect, click on apply.

    • Some features are not available on your Windows computer or are listed differently, depending on whether your computer has Microsoft Outlook 2016 or earlier installed.

Not installed Outlook: use iCloud Mail, Contacts, calendars and reminders in your web browser on iCloud.com.

    • If you select bookmarks and your computer a Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox installed, you can click Options to select Windows which bookmarks you want to keep up-to-date with bookmarks in Safari on your iOS devices and browsers Mac computers, set up for iCloud Safari. • use iCloud photo library to dropbox mimics auto upload

    Hello world

I recently decided to ditch dropbox (if possible) and finally the transition myself completely to iCloud.

One of the biggest problems I encountered replicates the capabilities of automatic download of pictures of the box. I use the feature all day on the job for sending and attaching photos to technical support documents and really don't want to start to send me photos for quick access on my work PC.

I wonder if its possible to allow to iCloud photo library on ONLY my iPhone, so my Camera Roll is sent to the library automatically, but nothing else. I have a 500 GB photo library on my Mac at home that I have in no way shape or form, would be affected by iCloud.

I hesitate to pull the trigger and just turn on my phone, I'm not sure implications, and what will exactly happen. The online documentation is so vauge what you can and can't do with iCloud photo library, so I'm tender hand to the community for advice.

In simple terms (TL; DR), that's what I'm trying to accomplish.

-use iCloud photo library on my iPhone ONLY to reproduce the functionality of automatic download of Dropbox IE: access iPhone Camera roll on work PC and my Mac.

-do NOT use on my Mac library (more than 500 GB)

    Please let me know,

    Thank you

    -Aaron

You can turn on iCloud photo library only on your iPhone if it's what you want. The photos will be automatically download in iCloud. Note that if you delete a photo of either on the phone or iCloud it will be automatically removed in both places.

You can access photos of your work PC or Mac connecting to https://www.icloud.com/ , then go on the Photos app here.

  • move the notes of the iCloud to another

    Hi guys,.

I have 2 problems with iCloud notes and ability to move.

Since I was an iPhone 6, I tried to use apple ID my family and iCloud.

Recently I got some important information and also some accessories to my accounts, so I wrote them in the note of my iPhone, which is directly synchronized with iCloud family.

So here are my 2 questions:

1 can I not use my iPhone Notes section? I tried to use normal note but it always goes to the section specific note to iCloud. Can I completely delete iCloud note in my notes app? Are that allow us just to have a note in the iPhone and use it directly without synchronization to iCloud?

2 - I create my own apple ID recently; so, how can I move all notes iCloud (cause all iCloud notes is linked to my notes from the iPhone) to another note to iCloud section deletes also all notes after the movement of the first iCloud account?

    Thank you.

1 try to connect on iCloud and then create the note. Then reconnect.

    2. If you have created one on my iPhone note in the above, copy the notes it, then change the connection Apple ID.

  • Pages is not back up to iCloud

    What I don't understand?

I use Pages 5.6.1 on Mac Mini, mid-2011, El Capitan 10.11.2 running.

I am connected to iCloud and Pages is configured in iCloud preferences settings.

When I create a document on my Mac, I expect to save the section Pages iCloud drive (folder). This isn't. The only way to get a document in iCloud is expressly save there.

I thought as I edit and save Pages on Mac documents, they are updated and saved on my drive to iCloud. But the only way I can get in there and make them available to my other devices is working completely in iCloud. So, I save in my Mac if I want to what they phusically on my hard drive.

    What I am doing wrong?

    Rich

You must save in iCloud drive. The only things on iCloud drive are what you save here. Nothing on a Mac is automatically saved to iCloud.

Also note that a copy of what you save in iCloud drive rest on your Mac hard drive as well. It is not a way to save something of your Mac to iCloud by car without automatically copy remaining on your Mac. You don't need to save a second copy of anywhere else on your Mac for them to be on your hard drive.

You can see that is in iCloud drive on your Mac via the Finder. If you open Finder and then go to the Finder menu and click on Preferences, then click on sidebar at the top of the Preferences window you can choose to show iCloud drive in the sidebar of all of your Finder Windows to facilitate access to this location on your Mac. If, for example, disconnect your Mac of internet you will always be able to access all files in iCloud Drive on your Mac.

  • Cut the shapes to the canvas?

Is it not possible (just) cut a piece at random the canvas, leaving a picture that is not square or rectangle?

For example, I had the image below published online to sell these pants. I sold the left bottom pair and I tried for an hour to understand how I could have just cut off this corner, but to no avail.

I didn't want to erase or to complete the task, I wanted to cut completely, leaving an 'L' shaped canvas back.

I can't believe it's not possible, seems like it would be a very useful tool. I thought I could catch any shape and cut it out, but the Web remains a rectangular shape.

    Pants.png

I ended the task, but it's ugly - color sample was taken from the carpet, but it filled with gray.

    Axist Pants.png

All digital images, each, are rectangular. What you can do is to use transparency to give the impression that it is a different shape. First dobule click the background layer in the layers panel to turn on a normal layer (background layers cannot be transparent), and then select what you want to go and delete. To maintain transparency record in a format that allows transparency as JPEG, PNG, PSD, TIFF No.

  • Found lost iPhone scam

My daughter dropped her Iphone earlier. The phone is locked with a 4 digit code.

The sim card and the phone (its IMEI) reported stolen and are blocked by the operator.

A few weeks back it started to receive text messages that her lost phone had been found and she was invited to follow a link. A link that leads to a phishing site. She didn't click here.

These days she's been doing e-mail messages saying the same thing: his lost phone have found strange links.

Text messages, I can understand because they can found his phone number of the sim card (she got a new sim card to the operator using the same number today), but how can they know his email? His AppleID?

It makes me really worried if they managed to get to the phone somehow.

The phone as reported as stolen to the Police

The phone is blocked and locked by the operator

The phone has been defined as lost and we also click content thingie erase icloud (not sure that it worked well)

We changed all the passwords (AppleID, e-mail, etc.)

The phone has been removed completely to iCloud

Is there something else we should / can do? Can stop us these scam messages to enter?

If, during the period between when the phone has been lost/stolen and you reported, the unbelievers could use Siri to find information. If Siri were not off on the lock screen, what they should have done is call Siri and ask the phone belonged to. If your daughter kept its own information of contact in the phone, as do many people, they could have accessed.

It seems that if you took all the right steps. There is really no way to prevent people to continue to send you emails scam. Treat them as you would any other spam.

    Good luck.

  • A lot of Contacts is more merged

    Hello

I have an Android phone, use a gmail account and an e-mail iCloud account, I have all my contacts in iCloud & Google Contacts. In an earlier version of Mac OS x, there was a specific option of synchronizing gmail contacts in 'Preferences', I used. Later OSX facilitated by simply checking the box 'Contacts' for each e-mail account in 'preferences' under the 'e-mail accounts '.

I can't say exactly when it happened, but yesterday I went to the Contacts on my iMac, clicked on "All Contacts" and all older contact cards were separated (almost, but not all, newer cards are combined & show two e-mail addresses). By clicking on "Find duplicates" did not help, so just clean things up I went if & merges all the contacts that are not merged. OK, actually I thought.

Later in the day, I turned on my MBP, by watched curiosity of Contacts, and exactly the same contacts have been split. OK, I went through the entire list again and clustered.

Today, I had a peek in my iPad & exactly the same contacts not merged!

No change to any of these devices, or new email accounts added or removed. Certainly a few weeks ago all the cards have been merged.

I know that in the grand scheme of things it's not serious, but I find it strange that once I have merged a Contact on one device, it does not get 'fixed' on other devices related to cloud. And why this happened is a mystery.

The two iMac and MBP on El Capitan 10.11.5, iPad iOS 9.3.2

    Fortunately received ideas!

    Hi Peachtree55,

Welcome to the communities of Apple Support! From what you describe, it looks like a large part of your contacts are merged is no longer in all of your devices. I know how convenient it is to have all of your important contacts easily accessible. I'll be more than happy to provide you with suggestions for troubleshooting.

In a first step, make sure that you have a recent backup of your data. Check out these articles for more details:

The backup of your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch

Use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac

Once this is done, I recommend that you try to re-sync your contacts via iCloud. To do this, you are going to disable your Contacts on any device where you have active iCloud. After switching off Contacts, restart all your devices. When you're facing up and running, reactivate the Contacts on each device and then check to see if that fixed the problem. This article has more information:

Get help using iCloud Contacts, calendars, or reminders

I recommend you specifically these sections:

Turn off iCloud Contacts, calendar, or reminders, and turn it back on

    1. Tap Settings > iCloud.
    2. Turn off, Contacts, calendar or reminders.
    3. If you see your calendars or reminders about iCloud.com or one of your devices, you can choose to delete from my [camera]. If not, choose keep on my [device].
    4. Wait a few minutes, then turn it back on for Contacts, calendar or reminders.

Restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

Hold the sleep/wake button, then drag the slider to turn off. Turn on your device.

Stop the iCloud calendar and iCloud reminders, then turn it back on

    1. Quit applications calendar and reminders.
    2. Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click iCloud.
    3. Deselect calendars and reminders (or calendars and reminders on OS X Lion mountain).
In OS X Lion mountain and the Mavericks, click on remove Mac when asked.
    4. Close the system preferences and wait about a minute.
    5. Choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click iCloud.
    6. Select calendars (calendars and reminders on OS X Lion mountain).
    7. Open the calendar and reminders.

    Restart your computer

After you restart your computer, see if you solved the problem.

You can also try disabling the Contacts on your devices, signature completely off iCloud and then by restarting each device. This can help to erase the hang ups.

    Relax your day fantastic!
