  Trim() is an Excel function, then you might do this in Excel by creating a new column filled with TRIM() functions.

  If you want a solution based on AppleScript, that would involve using the AppleScript routines for handling text...

  In my humble OPINION, the path of Excel is more likely, especially if you are not familiar with AppleScript, but poster if you cannot work/find a way to do in AppleScript.

  I fiddled with the explode function, but I don't think that I'm just doing. I guess I explode the string, $calSpec ["cdate"] and keep its components in a table in the do while loop, I put in place to fill the page with dates.

  Is this the best approach? If so, can someone point me in the right direction regarding the own explode syntax?

  I am pleased that you found. I use it constantly, as I often animate my titles with effects of alterations and will just copy and paste attributes at all. Even for effects that are common to several video (or Audio) Clips.

  Caution: when the planning on using it, make a video with the full range of effects, and then copy. Select all of the Clips you want to paste attributes for. If you have already added a few effects, beyond the fixed effects, you will get multiple instances of this / these effects, i.e. If you have already added for the destination Clips Color Correction, a CEW Color Correction in your Clip source, you will get probably 2 instances of Color Correction. Plan ahead, so that you don't have to go back and remove any duplicate effect.

  Your images, your sequence is1920x1080 is 1280 x 720, go to the settings of the sequences and change the size of 1920 x 1080.
