  Hello. I get just the kick of the Illustrator and I was wondering if there was an easier way to do what I've done here. I am trying to reverse parts of this model in the circle. For this I started with inside star shape, furred and copied, mixed the two, expanded and extended again. Then I've traced a circle with no background or stroke and hit a bunch of buttons in pathfinder (don't know which ones, maybe something with divided?) I continued to try those, and they did not) after this I dissociated and chose each path and just changed the fill color for the railways and the circle has done the opposite color fill. Is there an easier way to do this because it took a long time for something that seems like it could be done more quickly.

  

  You can keep you art fuilly editable.

  Layer 1: your art to the postive format

  Layer 2: your art with edit > color > reverses the colors

  then put something on top of this option to use as your mask (for example: bullseye pattern)

  Select your reverse art and your mask grouped, then use the transparency palette menu flyout > make the opacity mask

  I am very new to Illustrator, I appreciate any help you could give me.  I use Illustrator CC.  I created a form composed and then used as a mask to cut out an image for the form so that the vector image is the context in which the form I created.  Now I have the text on parts of the form, and I would like to cut the text of the compound shape.  That is a hole through the object in the form of the text.  Also, I should probably note that the object I want to cut the text on is considered as a' Clip' in the layers panel.

  I tried a number of different options that I found on the forums, etc, but none seems not to work.  So far I have tried:

  1. conversion of the type of a sketch, then selecting the Clip group and type and then by a compound path.  The result: a startup error "cannot make a compound path.  A compound path is unable to combine with a regular path clipping mask. »

  2 Select the type and the Group of Clip and then using much less prominent in the Pathfinder Panel.  Result: An error message stating "the filter yielded no results.  Please select two paths that intersect. »

  3 select the type and the value at 0% transparency in the transparency Panel then selected the type and group of Clip and then tried the difference and Exclusion.  Result: Nothing, but transparent type.

  I enclose a photo of the object and the text I want to cut him and also the layers panel.

  I'd appreciate any help I can get.

  What happens if you go back to the objects in the first picture with the direct Type and:

  (1) select all instances of three Type and group them.

  (2) select the Group Type and group in the flyout palette (Panel) transparency and Clip click the opacity mask making with Clip and mask Invert unchecked (if this sounds wrong to change these options, it should work with those when you have black Type)?

  Hello world! I recently started depeloping AE plugin and try to access the path of the forms of the CEAP API layer. Sorry in advance if my question has already been asked by someone before, but I couldn't exactly find the answer to my question so let me ask.

  In a publication, I have a shape layer, and the shape layer has a vector shape, represented by the pen tool. Looks like the constitution of the lower layer.

  Very similar question was asked in the following link and Informatics were advised to use MaskOutlineSuite, PathQuerySuite and PathDataSuite, although these suites are to make the effect, not for CEAP plugins plugins, so I don't know if they can be used here.

  Hello people! So I created a design on Photoshop CS4 using the pen tool. I used the shape layer option. As I used the pen tool and set the anchor and adjusted points all handles, my intuition tells me that I can get back my drawing of the regular shape to paths option layer because they are so similar, no? Once my shape layer becomes a regular path, I want to caress.

  I don't want to start my drawing everywhere, redo the anchor of all points and handles using the path option - I hope you understand what I mean!

  Once you make the shape layer, go to the

  paths Panel and save the path, then make a new layer and stroke.

  Or you could shoot as many paths, no shape layer and then save your workpath

  go in the tracks Panel.

• Best way to cut the Texture of the graphic Logo?

  Hello. Can someone please advise me on the best way to CUT a texture of a chart AND be able to continue to use mutiple on new graphics colors? For more precisely illustrate my question/problem, here are the steps I took:

  (1) that I created a graph of the card as shown here:

  

  (2) I was able to cut a form of illustration of the map grid, using the tools of pathfinder. As shown here:

  

  (3) I then found a texture I want cut in graphic design that I just created. Since it is a logo, I need the texture is actually cutting the shape, not only sitting above it like a layer of white color. As seen here, this is what the graph of the card looks like with the layer of texture on top of it.

  

  (4) the only way I know, cookie cut the graphics card with the new texture is to hold the "alt/command" key while supporting on the "before" option in the tools of pathfinder palette. The only problem is that when I do that, a compound path is created, which converts the entire chart in one colour as shown here:

  

  I need the graphics to be the original 4-color. The strange thing is I could cut the world lines of the grid on the layers in the map very well (and still capable of changing color), but now I can't when I'm cutting the texture of the entire chart.

  Summary: can someone please tell me how to make the graph below. I need to texture is the cutting of the graph. The only way I can understand to the punch the texture of the image is to create a compound path using the pathfinder tool. This leaves me with a form of cutting correct that I'm looking for, but while Brown and with no opportunity to change the graphic back 4 original colors.

  

  Illustrator is hard enough without making it even more.

  It is a very simple step operation 4-5:

  • (1) make your graph of multicolor globe on a new layer. You 'can' block if your next layer becomes difficult to choose things.
  • (2) another new layer above the globe and create your lines of longitude/latitude and "texture." You can use white or black lines/texture, but one or the other. Select and group when you are finished. Suggestion: Make sure that all items are a unique, and no nested group.
  • (3) now, select your multicolor globe and groups of lines/texture "knockout" and in the transparency Panel, choose "make opacity mask". Depending on whether you used white or black, you may need to check "Invert mask" or "Clip".
  • (4) now... all you have to do to complete the chart so that it is a vector of 'real' with holes where a background should be apparent, as a "transparent vector trace" only (no need of masks), is: Menu-> object-> flatten transparency. In the dialog box choose: 100 vector, convert all the traits of contours and preserve Alpha transparency.
  • (5) Optional: you can ungroup the globe or the graphics and little cleaning, like throwing it to remove the useless way of 'group '. You can do it from the Panel layers as well.

  View, you don't need to select and recolor anything, because this method retains the previous colors, including transparency is now "flattened" and allows you to fine-tune the mix of color by itself.

  This is my first post here and I must say that I thank, you are here because I'm pretty frustrated.

  I am new to using the pen tool. For the last day or two, I'm working on it pretty hard in Photoshop CC and I think I have a general handle on how it basically works now, but can't get to a domain.

  I just finished a rather complex path. After doing the outdoor path, always using the pen tool, I changed the tool of "combining forms" to "subtract the shape front" and make internal cuts of the way that I wanted. When I had finished, I thought that everything I would need to do is to hit the icon selection at the bottom of the path window and a complete selection, including the subtractions would be taken. Unfortunately when I did only the subtraction have been included in the selection even though they were clearly there in the path. Please can someone explain what can happen here?

  The outermost path does not have the value "Combining forms" or "Exclude the shapes overlapping" or it is not the subPathItem facing down.

  Select it, and then change the setting in the Options bar (window > Options) or simply select all the subPathItems and put them to "exclude the shapes that overlap.

  I am trying to create an external border for some tires and have a few questions about the model of brush.

  I created a solid form and then, with her, a brush model. But I don't want all this spacing between shapes, so is there a way to get rid of the spacing or DECREASE spacing altogether. Currently, it is set at 0%.

  Return to the brush model.

  1. drag the brush from the Panel forms.

  2. with the direct Selection tool or in, select the Panel layers no filling / n ° rectangle race which is located at the back of this group of brush.

  3. adjust (reduce) the width of the rectangle until you find a size that produces the desired gap.

  4. Select the shape of the brush and the no fill / no rectangle STROKE, Opt/Alt-drag on top of the original brush in the Panel shapes.

  To align the bottom edge of the brush with the path:

  With no filling/no STROKE rectangle selected, as indicated above, move it down so that its horizontal axis coincides with the lower edge of the shape of the brush, then Opt/Alt-drag the brush and rectangle again in the Panel forms.

• How to convert containers of Type area in the path of

  Accidentally, I converted a tinted path (custom shape with several anchor points) to a container of type box, and he did not notice until this day. Is there a way to convert this back to plain ole filled way. I tried to reduce the basic look, I tried to have add filled a new filling, but because that HAVE it think it's a container of type all the background and contour attributes are ignored. I even tried the adaptation layer and make a clipping from one path to retrieve the path, but it wouldn't let me. It seems to be very easy to make in the areas of type forms but not the other way around.

  If you use the group selection (the white arrow with alt/option key), it will allow you to select only the part of the text container path.  You can then copy and paste in front.

• How to cut these paths without them setting out?

  I have hundreds of forms filled with a pattern of lines. I am trying to find a way to cut the lines without ending up with the lines that have been converted (contours) of closed shapes. Looks like a simple procedure but retains Illustrator convert to closed shapes whenever I try any type of cutting or the cultivation technique.

  I have attached a screenshot showing an example of the form with the screen line. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  That's what I did with CS3 trying to recreate your question

  1. the model has created and filled in the polygon

  2 object... Expand... (Fill only)... Ok

  3 schema in the Pathfinder palette

  4 draw with 1 point... just to get the visibility

  now, I didn't finish with forms closed as in your picture. All I have is open unfilled paths, being the reason for the lines and polygon tool path segments. The good news is that cutting segments are all next to each other at the top of the layers palette, followed by all the trend lines.

  5. deselect all

  6. Select the first and last line and note their position in the layers palette

  6a. easily find their position go to the menu of the layers palette and click on "set object.

  7. Select all the lines in the layers palette...

  

  8. collect in the new layer in the palette menu layers

  9. once the lines indicated in its own layer, the work is well done

  

  I hope that it is of no help, this is my first post! .... Still need a script to deal with hundreds of forms?

  If you try to delete the duplicates by deleting files directly in the package of the photo library you will damage the photo library.

  Photography shops photos within a structure of database and the objects are distributed everywhere. There is no way tor record delete a single picture using the Finder.

  The photo library is a set, a folder with subfolders and data bases. For a single photo that you import pictures will store the original image file in a subfolder 'Masters' (~/Pictures/Photos Library.photoslibrary/Masters/) or in iCloud, according to your settings.  It will create an additional stamp file, files with faces found thumbnails and previews in the folder found, to share with other applications in the media browser.  Always use Photos interface to remove the photos or the library will become inconsistent.

  You can look inside the set of files grouped by ctrl-clicking on the library and using the command 'Show Package Contents': but make sure you do not move the files.

  To remove duplicates consider using a double Finder program:

  If you have duplicates of a different pixel size in your library as well, then consider Photo Sweeper. We can compare the histograms or bitmaps from photos, so you can detect duplicates as well edited.  In addition, you can set up rules assigned to photos to keep and which to dispose, for example to give preference to more recent photos, photos with the largest size of pixel or photos with metadata.

  PowerPhotos is a great tool to have, when you work in Photos for navigation of several libraries of Photos at once and to see the photos annotated with metadata. It can move photos between libraries and help you merge libraries. But the duplicate detection is not as versatile as in Photo Sweeper. It can detect mainly exact replica.

  I don't know much Duplicate Annihilator, so I can't say how it will compare to the other two.

  I recently migrated from LV2011 to LV2012 and I have a problem with the dialog file Express vi. It seems, that in LV2012 the Windows dialog box that appears after invoking the file dialog box, adjust the default name to 14 characters (or rather the chain moves to the left so the first x characters are hidden). Please see screenshot attached screen and VI. It's OK in LV2011 (have tested the same code yesterday on another PC with LV2011). Is there a solution or the solution?   Your VI not exactly help me with my code, but it helped me to find the path . Unfortunately, when I used your VI, the behavior was exactly the same as with the file dialog box. But I noticed that it works only when I select 'create' to the function input terminal (with "create or replace" or something else I've known the cutting chain).

  Then I tried to override the setting of file express VI dialog box of 'New or existing' on 'New' with this setting, the file dialog box works very well (and there seems to be no difference between 'New or existing' and 'New').

  I worked with the builtin function to get the system directory on a 64-bit computer that is running Windows 7 and noticed that the selection of path of Application file always returns the path to the directory for 32-bit programs (for example, c:\Program Files (x 86)).

  Firstly, is it because I'm running 32-bit LV or am I missing something.

  Secondly, if I wanted the 64-bit program directory, is it safe to cut just the part '(x 86) '. I've never seen a system where it is would not have worked, but kinowing Windows that there could be a strange setup where it would break.
