CycBot.B + Palevo Trojan cleaning

HI - although ' I run McAfee SecurityCenter protection in real time (+ automatic updates) and to check my PC with Windows Defender, AdAware, SpyBot R & D and malware removal of Microsoft (always up to date, full scans for all), I was alerted that my PC is infected by a trojan (s). Defender argued that it had quarantined / removed it. After that, I checked with McAfee, MMSR, Defender & AdAware, who claims that the PC was clean again. However, SpyBot showed up to 5 or 6 Trojan related entries (identified as related to Win32/CycBot.B + 1 Ref. to Win32/Palevo). SpyBot has claimed to have solved the problem successfully, and a re-scan subsequent showed no other Trojan entries. Meanwhile, I was unable to connect to the internet, but corrected cela by disabling the LAN proxy server setting. Is is safe to conclude that the PC is clean? I always get a Windows File Protection alert indicating the files required for Windows to run correctly have been replaced by unrecognized versions and these must be replaced by the original versions to maintain stability. Any help would be very appreciated by ensuring that your PC is clean. Thank you very much. Neil

  • Problem opening Composition in CS4 on Windows 7 (which worked in Vista) 32-bit

    Hello

Merry Christmas! I hope that everyone is having a better that I am right now!

With little information about what I have and what is happening.

My machine is a machine made to measure with a motherboard ASUS P5KC, Intel Quad Core Q6600 @ 2.40 GHz and 4.00 GB of RAM DDR3 with an NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX.

Yesterday, when I was working on this video, I got Windows Vista Home 32-bit installed. All fonts, images, plug-ins, etc were there, works very well. The project has had several compositions with some 3D elements.

Somehow this computer has been infected with a nasty little trojan; clean it enough to get my files out there and make a backup.

I then installed Windows 7 Professional 32 - bit, re-installed After Effects CS4, copied all video Copilot Evolution and Pro Scores, sound effects designer and Action Movie Essentials to the machine; installed fonts and plugins again.

I tried to start After Effects and open the project; everything was good, he acknowledged that there were 53 of the elements that are not found (not coupled images). However, once it has loaded and it started to load the last composition I had opened (which is be the only big enough with 3-d elements), it would just freeze and become 'unresponsive. '

I tried this several times; no luck.

I then started a new project and the project "drug" existing to the new. This allowed me to open the project without opening the previous composition. I was then able to add a link to images and sounds. I was then able to open the other compositions, but at the time wherever I tried to open the composition that I tried earlier, it froze again.

So I thought, well maybe, I can just make or make a power of Attorney, etc.

The two have not. Even when I add to render queue, as soon as it adds, before I even click start making it freeze.

I thought maybe it was a problem of memory; I did some stuff to allow After Effects use all the memory and all the hearts of the procesor, check the status of the OpenGL and allow him to use 80% of the physical RAM on the video card - still no luck.

I tried the project to clean and purge from memory; no luck.

I can post the project file ASP for anyone who is ready to help.

Maybe install a 64 bit version of Windows 7 would be useful, but I do not understand what this question is the steam of.

    Thank you
    Travis

The problem seems to be in the publication named "Running". When I tried to open this composition, After Effects has entered an attempt apparently endless to make the first image, using a lot of CPU power, but not a lot of memory to do so. So, this doesn't seem to be a memory problem. I was able to open the composition by pressing the Caps Lock key before doing anything; This tells After Effects to not try to render frames. If I had to troubleshoot this further, I would open this publication, disable all layers and then turn them back on one at a time to see which are the source of the problem.

I hope that's enough to help you get started.

BTW, I checked this on Windows Vista 64-bit. I would be really surprised if it had something to do with the specific operating system.

  • Firefox installer detected as Trojan Dropper.Generic8.BMWS by AVG when moving folder

I was cleaning up my office moving my unused files to organized folders, for example, OriginalGameName, slipped into the games. and I happened to have an antivirus AVG scan running in the background at the same time. I created a folder named installers and dragged in Firefox_Setup.exe first. AVG has immediately launched a warning window saying that it was a Trojan horse and give me an option to remove.

Of course, why would the installer of my favourite internet browser include a Trojan Horse? I mean, my Firefox browser works fine and I also just so happen to be posting this on Firefox.

I was instantly suspicious and open SpyBot Search & Destroy and scanned. No result, then the AVG window seemed safe. I clicked on the option in the AVG window to remove the alleged Trojan, then scanned with SpyBot again to ensure that it was not the type of fake AVG caveat of the window that installs a Trojan horse once an option is selected.

So yes, I'm sure that I haven't gotten a fake AVG warning. And yes, I downloaded the installer from the site.

I am also quite paranoid about the virus and I have two different antivirus that I scan with each time I visit an unknown Web site or download anything and I am generally suspicious when you browse the internet.
I know that I gave a large amount of information, but I'm trying to avoid having 1 million on the information that I've left questions. I know there is a similar to this post, but I think that the other post includes enough information leading to unsatisfactory answers. Info dump on.

Yes, you must immediately update your Firefox to 23. This is crucial.

It sounds like you have a virus struck on a former installer you had sitting around? If you have downloaded this installer to a server of mozilla.org , so this is a false positive. They occur from time to time, various anti-virus will occasionally report a Firefox file as a virus when it is not really. Normally it clears up quickly. You can delete this former Installer, update of Firefox and be good to go.

I don't think that I can reach the screenshots here, but they were the two instances (one in the sys32) and the other in sys64 under the file mfplay.dll Windows directories. Has anyone else AV turned up this? And is this normal as Toshiba or Microsoft to distribute Trojan horses with new computers?

    See you soon
    Mike

    Hi mikelawrence,

    > What is normal as Toshiba or Microsoft to distribute Trojan horses with new computers?
    Laughing out loud
You are a funny guy :D

Sorry, but to be honest, I'm sure that Toshiba or Microsoft distributes the horses of Trojan or virus with the new product.

I think that your antivirus software gives you a false alarm and that's it!
But about the antivirus, you wrote that you have installed "VET AV". I've never heard of this program, maybe that's the problem you have. This could be the Trojan disguised as antivirus program.

In my opinion, you need to install a reliable antivirus program. AntiVir is a great freeware tool. Alternative, I recommend Kaspersky.

  • Is ' InstallSecurityCentral_787.exe really a file Mozilla or a Trojan or a virus carrier. He jumped two times while using Firefox stating I have viruses, but Comodo not agree!

A window that is supposed to be a "Firefox security alert" jumped two times what opening of websites (not the same site each time) indicating that I have viruses by performing an analysis indicating there are 98 virus but list only 9 and indicating that I need to download a program called http:// swocmod InstallSecurityCentral_787.exe. it. Mrs.

I am suspicious that it is a ploy to make me load a horse of Trojan or a virus and she would appreciate advice on the subject.

I ran a test of the Comodo virus on the file and it came clean but it's a link charger and not the actual program is not surprising.

A Comodo sweep on Friday, may 6, 2011 did not find the files listed by the alert?

    Cordially astralcc

Edited to disable the link - Maurane

It's not Mozilla, it will be malware, do not install it.

There are many sites that will present you a security alert dummy trying to install the software. The real security alert Firefox you just warn you on a malicious site, it does not perform a scan or you notify that you have installed viruses and will tell you not to download any software.

    Thanks in advance.

I agree with Maurice. Save all your data important and make the clean OS installation using recovery delivered DVDs. After that, you can be sure that the laptop computer is not infected more.
I know that it is radical, but, in my opinion, the best method.

After a clean OS installation make sure you use an application good antivir. I can recommend you to use ANTIVIR - http://www.free-av.de/en/index.html
The application is very good and do not need a lot of resources. It runs in the background and makes updates if necessary. I use it for years and I can truly say that it is the best.

    Good luck!
