• CS4 - magnify or tool of the Zoom lens?

  I need to create a "magnifying glass effect" on a part of a drawing. I found a tutorial explaining a tool in CorelDraw (lens magnify) which does exactly what I need to do. However, I was not able to find this tool/effect AI CS4.

  Can someone tell me if such a tool exists in CS4? If it is not a tool specifically designed for this, are there free or inexpensive plugins that can do? In the absence of such, tutorials or tips on how to do it?

  Wow, I'm not so sure that I want to tell you how I could do that in Illustrator considering how the Mag in Corel Draw tool is cool.

  But here we are. Copy the layer any of the art (Option drag the layer to the layer icon Add in the layers panel) draw a circle in the place that you want to zoom, make sure that the circle is the first element more in the new layer. Click the icon at the bottom of the layers panel clipping mask. This should hide all on this layer except for the items in the circle you drew. Select now all on this layer by clicking on the ball of meat for that layer in the layers panel (the point on the right side of the layer in the layers panel) this should select all the elements on this layer. Now use the effects > distort and Transform > Transform to compensate for the circle of mag where you want.

  There is no tool like Corel Draw zoom lens or magnifying glass. However, would be an interesting feature request.

  Now I'm looking for a zoom lens, any suggestions? with good quality / mony? Honestly I do not put a budget for it still don't intend to but something so dear, my favorate style is architecture & urban landscape, but some times I may need a zoom so out for some shots my need more than what I have now (canon 17-40).

  You already have the range of 17 to 40 covered. Which can be used for your walk around lens that it stops a little short for this to 40 mm. I use a 35mm Prime than my walk around and I Zoom with my feet so I think you can also.

  For a standard telephoto lens that is the EF 70-200mm L f/2.8 IS Mk 2.  In the United States, he sells between $1 800.00 and $300.00 2.  It's a fantastic lens. Sharp. Many colors. Ideal in low light. Great bokeh. And the focal range is very usable on a full camera frame. Not often is too long to be useful.

  If you need a longer telephoto let us know and people can suggest lenses longer but the good ones cost dear and you can also lose the opening f/2.8 nice if you get a telephoto lens more long. Unless you really spend a lot on a 300 mm f/2.8 or 400 mm.

  You did not get the Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens of STM with your T3i?  Yes, you have a zoom. So, do you want a telephoto lens to add?  It is always best to keep your equipment even if a good choice would be the Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5. 6 objective IS of STM.  It fits very well.

• Canon 18-200mm zoom lens

  I'm new here.  I have a Canon T3i.  Two kit lenses came with it in a bundle... 18-55mm, 55-250mm.  I am considering getting the Canon 18-200mm.  Would be the Canon 18-200mm is a good choice to replace the two lenses, or are there better choices to replace them with and keep the 18-200mm too?

  I wouldn't buy one for several reasons.  The one above all, it is more difficult to zoom, when the zoom range becomes very extreme.  18-200 is a 11 x scope and very ambitious to say the least. Not only in mind but in build quality, too. It will be in the same level of quality that the two glasses, the only advantage is to have just a lens so you.  Is that what you need? The superior advantage of a digital SLR is the possibility of having the right lens for the good work.  This implies usually several different lenses.  So you will be defeated this concept a little!

  I'd rather see you get a different level of lens for example IS the Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 USM Lens.  Directly by replacing your 18-55mm kit lens. Of course, it is in the case where you have does not work for you. But this approach is better built, better optics and a little more quickly the objective that can be very useful.  Don't get me wrong the Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM lens is a very good lens and offers a constant aperture.  A great plus in my book.

• Reference Dell XT2: Lost the Zoom pinch when installed Windows 8 Pro

  I have a Dell Latitude XT2 I bought with Windows 8 Preview.  When I bought it, pinching at the zoom feature worked well.  Because not all the drivers/features were intalled correctly however, I did a clean install of Windows 7 (x 64) and reloaded everything.  I then bought Windows 8 Pro (x 64) and when I went to install, the installer asked me to remove the following as a mandatory step for installation:

  -Dell touchpad driver

  -Dell Data Protection Access (forcing in turn, deletion of Security Device Driver Pack & control Vault)

  -Intel 16.5.2.0 network connections

  -Duo N-Trig feel tactile multipoint package

  After Windows 8 is installed, the pinch in the zoom function no longer works.  I tried rolling back the drivers of the N-Trig, installation of the Suite of Vista x 64 and re-release to upgrade to Windows 8 pilots.  However, I can't retrieve the pinch in the zoom function.

  Either way, I am also unable to re - install the package access Data Protection and lost the fingerprint reader.  However, no pinch recovery aid to the zoom would be greatly appreciated.

  I was talking to software programs that have been uninstalled during the upgrade to Windows 8.

  Rotation of your lens zoom ring will not control the zoom of a clear picture. SALT-1855 zoom is a non-powerzoom lens, and the only way to control the zoom of the image clearly is to access the menu as I explained in my previous answer.

  Instead, use a lens powerzoom (e.g. SELP1650, SELP18105G, SELP18200) will allow you to control the zoom of a clear picture using the zoom of the lens ring. The camera automatically moves to its clear function / digital zoom when the scale of magnification is higher than that of the optical zoom of the lens. Then only the image icon zoom clear as well as the zoom scale will appear on the LCD.

  Hey, sorry been busy trying. I just tested around with the config and it goes back to ui.zoomedview.disabled and set it to true. It was on the beta of Firefox. She seems to have no ill effects change. I've also updated to Chrome Dev and no longer have the option to deactivate the lag. I am happy that I found this.

  You can set the pref mousewheel.withcontrol.action (Mac mousewheel.with_meta.action) 1 on the topic: page config to avoid zoom if you press the Ctrl/command key.

  Open windows control panel, open the mouse, select the parameters of Clickpad tab and then click on the button "Settings Clickpad".  You should now be able to disable "Pinch zoom" by removing the check mark.  Click apply and then click Ok to save the setting.
