Cycle time

I checked user and admin guides without much luck.  Is there a setting in the Cisco VC environment that allows the configuration of endpoints how will ring before expiring?  (Assuming that no unit has 'auto response' enabled)

The Cisco documentation is surprisingly rare in this area (at least when I looked).  Any guidance is appreciated.

Thank you

JL

Hi Jeff,

Yes that is right that there is currently no codec configuration to limit the number of rings.

Time Machine problem with upgrade to Yosemite to El Cap on a laptop MBPr 15 "mid-2012.

Time Machine backup plan: by wifi or LAN cable for two different hard disks attached to a Mac Mini that is on the local network. Two USB mini drives would serve as a backup for a total of 4 Mac disks at home.

Behavior of Time Machine in Yosemite: dead normal. Backups were fast (10 Mbit/s in wifi, 80 MB/s when I plugged the MBPr on my LAN using a bolt of lightning for the Ethernet card.) Restored backups (I test them sometimes) fine.

I upgraded yesterday to El Capitan. Behavior of the time Machine now: excruciatingly slow. All the steps (preparation, backup, cleanup) takes hours. My laptop was connected to the wired LAN for 9 hours now and is only 1.26 GB thanks to a backup of 3.82 GB. Speed (from MenuMeters) is under 10 KB/sec - Yes, it is * kilogram * bytes/s.

Speed of transfer of files between the two machines via drag & drop is very good, ~80MB/sec both on the LAN, about 12 MB/s in wifi. Laptop computer interacts with the web at normal speeds. It does not appear that Time Machine, which is watered, and only on my laptop of Capitaned newly-El. My other domestic machines (all on Yosemite still) back up normally.

    I tried:

    -power / reboot both machines.

-power / restart the LAN together.

-cycle Time Machine power switch in the Prefs system.

    -Remove the two drives as backup targets TM laptop, then re - specify with preferences TM;

-other things that I found through the search for this problem.

It is a common problem in judging by the many valuation model who met it. I searched a lot and found nothing that helped me.

I can't work without a viable backup. For now, I use Carbon Copy Cloner to duplicate my SSD MBPr for an external hard drive. Not really satisfying.

Did someone solved this problem? Can someone tell me or suggest a solution? Thank you very much!

I use a NI 6585/SMU-7961 I am developing an application where I do the source syncrounsu communications.  At the moment I don't have the material which will issue for me.  I am trying to set up a situation where I can just make a loop back on myself and send a signal of a connector and receive it in another.  The issues I'm having, it's trying to simulate how the implementation will be once I get harddware real is that when I export a clock I can't use this clock on connector A connector B because she goes to the same line in connector where a clock is exported. Any way to change the line that the clock is exported on and then use this line as a clock signal?

Secondly, when I use an external clock or internal with a loop of single cycle time is the beginning of each itteration of the loop on a rising clock edge?

    BCAT says:

Any way to change the line that the clock is exported on and then use this line as a clock signal?

No, this is no way to change the line that the clock is exported or imported. You will need two rooms in small groups if you want to do a loopback test as you said.

With two of these tips, you will be able to deliver the DDC CLOCK Out of one of the connectors SDC at the world clock of the other connector of CSD using some SMA cables.

  • FPGA: Vs timed loop Timer?

    Hello

I would like to create a FPGA loop that runs at a fixed rate. Whatever if I use a timed loop structure or a timer loop express VI into a regular while loop? Under what circumstances should I choose one over the other?

I understand that the timer loop approach can cause the code in the loop run twice before calendar is established (but this isn't a problem for me here). Are there other differences in the two approaches?

    Thanks in advance.

    JKSH wrote:

But my question was about the differences between the use of "multi-cycle" Timed loops and VI express loop timer.

In a targeted FPGA VI, all call loops are single cycle timed loops (SCTL).  This means that all the code in a SCTL must run in a clock cycle, so there are a few types of nodes cannot be used in such a loop.  In a used while loop with a timer, you can use a wider range of features, but the loop will generally run much more slowly.

  • Help with the calculations of time

I tried several searches but can't seem to find what I need to do. I need to read a file with two columns, the first column is the time of an event. Then I need to calculate the time between each event (row). I know I have to use a loop to read the file but I cannot find any information on what the best way to calculate the time between each event so that I can get statistics such as average time per cycle, time since the last cycle, etc.. The only way that I can think is to read the file as a string and then parse time, but that doesn't seem like an effective way of doing things.

    example: data.csv

    08:00 10

    08:12 8

    10:00 2

    11:12 3

Use '% <%H:%M> t' as format string instead. Capital T formats time as an absolute time, which according to your format is not what you are working with. The tiny t he reformatted as a relative timestamp and you should be able to calculate your time between events of.

    Hope this helps,

  • Why the execution time increases with a while loop, but not with "run continuously?

    Hi all

I have a problem of severe weather that I don't know how to fix it because I don't know exactly where it comes from.

I order two RF switches via a data acquisition card (NI USB-6008). One job at the same time can be selected on each switch. Basically, the VI created for this feature (by a colleague) resets all the outputs of acquisition data and active then those desired. It has three entrances, two chain simp0le controls and a cluster table, that contains the list of all the outputs and some practical information to know what is connected (specific to my application).

I use this VI in a complex application, and I have some problems with the execution time, which increased whenever I said the VI, so I did a test VI (TimeTesting.vi) to determine where the problem came. In this special VI I record the execution time in a csv file to analyze then with excel.

After several tries, I found that if I run this criterion VI with the while loop, execution on every cycle time increases, but if I remove the while loop and use the funtionnality "Continuous run", the execution time remains the same. In my high level application, I have while loops and events, and so the runtime increases too.

I someone could explain to me why execution time increases and how can we avoid this? I have attached my VI test and the necessary subVIs, as well as an image of a graph that shows the execution time with a while loop and «run permanently»

Thanks a lot for your help!

Your SetReset_DO VI creates a channel whenever it is called.  And that you never delete a task.

When running continuously, that it's as if it only runs once and LabVIEW has internal mechanisms to close references that will not be used again.  When a VI is used as a Subvi, LV does not know if she will be called again, and lacks these things until the first level VI stops. You have a memory leak.

Just as you open and close your file outside the loop for, create your channel out of the loop.

  • Why can't Norton Identity Safe compatibility be integrated into the latest versions of Firefox? IE seems not to have problems with it.

Firefox constantly asks me to upgrade to the latest version, which is not a problem as long as the new generation is compatible with applications that I serve throughout and rely on every day. I use the 40.0.3 version and it wants me to update to 41.0.2. If the Norton Identity Safe toolbar work with my current version of Firefox, what is the compatibility issue with a newer version of Firefox? IE does not appear to have this problem of update... which makes me consider the switch back to IE as my default browser. I rely on the Identity Safe to take care of my connection problems, and there is no need to deal with problems of incompatibility. I know I'm not alone in finding this aggravation with updates. (I use Win7 Home Premium, 64-bit).

Sorry, this is a change in the types of code Add - ons are allowed to include. It was supposed to change in Firefox 40, but at the request of vendors such as Symantec, it was postponed to 41 of Firefox. I don't think this change will flip over. Norton is working on a new version, but I understand that it takes longer than expected.

Here's what I suggest for users who need Norton password security features:

Instead of freezing your Firefox on a non secure version, consider using the Extended Support Release (ESR). It is designed for businesses that require a cycle time longer between changes to the features, but anyone can use it. ESR is currently based on Firefox 38. It will get updates of security over the coming months, but not to get new features, so changes in Firefox 41 concerning the compatibility of the add-on will not be out for a good time.

Norton is likely to continue to support the ESR until the new toolbar update is finished, maybe next month. After that, I don't know what they will do because normally they don't take over a small range of versions.

If you decide to try it, here's how I suggest to install:

    Clean reinstall it

We use this name, but it isn't about deleting your settings, this is to ensure that the program, files are clean (not incompatible, corrupt or exotic code files). As described below, this process does not disrupt your existing settings. Don't uninstall NOT Firefox, that does not need.

    (A) download a fresh Installer for Firefox 38.3.0esr of https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/organizations/all/ in an ideal location. (Scroll down your preferred language).

    (B) the release of Firefox (if any).

    (C) simply rename the program folder, either:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox

    C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox

    TO

    C:\Program Files\Fx41

    (D) run the installer downloaded to (A). It should automatically connect to your existing settings.

At the same time, to examine the question of Norton and your language:

Norton has been a big topic of communication of updates for Firefox via LiveUpdate a few days before each new version of Firefox is available. But that changed with Firefox 41. Due to the change in Firefox (which was originally going to be in 40 Firefox but was delayed at the request of Norton and maybe a few other companies), the toolbar needs major changes and they are still not available yet. Norton issued a statement on this subject: https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/solutions/v115161915_EndUserProfile_en_us

If you want to use an updated version of Firefox that allows to run the current Norton Toolbar, there are another option. Hello everyone!

I have a problem with the laptop of my father. If I try to use it to its maximum performance, that it overheats and acceleration down the processor. If I test the notehbook with Intel Thermal Analysis Tool (http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/392/mirrors.php), and less then 5 minutes he spent 65 95-100 ° C (normal temperature) and the handle to the bottom of its cores. Folding @ home spirits so the processor about the same as Intel Thermal Analysis Tool.

My question: I have a defective laptop or incorrect design this type of laptop is not working 100% for more than 2 minutes, the processing power?

When you reach the temperature 95 C the fan will start working more hard, but despite this it is not enough to lower its temperature is lower than the control temperature.

    Hello

Dust and debris could be the main reason why the laptop overheats.

Usually, the cleaning of the dust is not part of the service guarantee but I strongly recommend to contact the technicians of laptop for a cleaning of the dust.
Usually, the dust can be removed easily using the jet of compressed air. These aerosols can be purchased from most computer resellers.
They offer for most cleaning sets.

But once again; If you have any experience with these procedures and you warranty is still valid, then a technician should clean your fans to avoid a cancellation of the guarantee.

    Hello

The CPU temperature depends on the use of the laptop and so it s not easy to say what would be the value of the ideal temperature.

According to this site of specification Intel CPU T5500 CPU temperature could affect up to 100 ° C
    http://processorfinder.Intel.com/details.aspx?sSpec=SL9SQ

But of course the internal CPU for laptop is much lower.
Running common applications temperature could increase to 50-60 ° C
