Data display of field on another slide?

It seems that there is a way to save data entry in CP6 to a variable field. Is it possible to have this data variables displayed in another area on a later slide? If it is possible, how would you do that?

Thank you!

David, this has always been the case since version 4 if I remember correctly.

Maybe this old article can help you:

http://kb2.Adobe.com/community/publishing/862/cpsid_86299.html

It is valid for COP6 stil. The symbol to insert a variable into a container of text (caption text or smart form) is in the accordion (X symbol) Format. CAUTION: the default length of the variable is 15 characters, if you have an entry that is larger, you will need to change this length when inserting.

  • data from one field to another field of text on the next page

    Hi all

    Hi I have a form that contains data from the data binding, the thing is the data maps to a certain text field and if this field is filled in, it should continue on the text field located on the page immediately after this one. the reason for using the text field instead of subform and make repeating is that the customer does not change the position and the structure of other fields as a result of this area, they are OK with the amount spilled in the following text field.

    is there a script for the same disease in Java script or form Calc.

    Thanks in advance.

    It is not as simple as it sounds. You won't be able to split the field during bonding time. The entire string must go on the ground and only after that he completed the biinding can change us around. A colleague of mine did for an interactive field and it's a very complicated code. Here is a link to his blog entry that describes what she did:

    http://blogs.Adobe.com/lcdesigner/2008/07/an_example_of_splitting_text_a.html

    But this is only part of the problem... once separate you the information in two areas that you need to recombine into one field that the data submitted can represent correctly again. If you reverse the process in a preparatory stage.

    Make sense?

  • Insert data from a field in another field in another table

    I am trying to copy the records from the source table

    in the dgpercentagedatachart table

    the domain name is feederid

    So that's what I came:

    INSERT INTO dgpercentagedatachart (feederid)

    Select source.feederid

    Of the source;

    This is the error I get

    Error from the 1 in the command line:

    INSERT INTO dgpercentagedatachart (feederid)

    Select feederid

    Source

    Error report:

    SQL error: ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ("GISELECTRIC". "" "" DGPERCENTAGEDATACHART '. "" OBJECTID')

    01400 00000 - "impossible to insert a NULL value in (%s)."

    I check that the two fields accept the NULL value, and they both said YES.

    What can I do?

    Excellent example. I get it.

    But, how can I put the id of object with it?

    Object_Id is the feeder_id # unique

    You can question him in the same table:

    INSERT INTO dgpercentagedatachart (feederid, objectid)

    Select source.feederid, source.objectid

    Of the source;

  • copy text to another slide.

    Is it possible for a user to enter text in an input of text on a slide object, and then you are able to display this text on another slide (for reflection).

    Kind regards

    Of course! You can use a BER or interaction text scrolling (easier for the longest text), both have an associated variable (you must set for interaction).

    On other slides, you need to insert the variable, using the X button in the text (shape or legend) container properties panel. You must be in mode to see the text-editing button. I do not post a screenshot, because you don't mention what version you use, and its location is different in CP8 from previous versions.

  • How can I display more fields based on the value of another field in conjunction with the visibility of the others?

    I have 17 text fields 'questions' and have hidden buttons for each I would appear once the administrator puts in a "password" at the bottom of the page.

    For the "password", I created a text field to enter this password and a "Log In" button.

    I want to be able to do is for the user to put in the 'password' and the 'Log In' button contains the script necessary to display these fields. 17 text fields show only one at a time, so I want the action of the 'Log In' button to show only the hidden buttons corresponding to the current visible areas.

    Here is my code. What happens is little matter what I do, it says the password is incorrect and mask "publient1" which has never been specified in the code in a variable.

    Initially, I had the first "else if" statement as the first "If" statement, but the results are the same in any event.

    These lines in your code does not make sense (and the rest of the code is dependent on them):

    iv1 var = issue1.display = display.visible;

    I think what you mean probably to do is the following:

    iv1 var = (issue1.display == display.visible);

    This sentence of yours shows a lack of understanding of the JS operators:

    I also tried several operators equal sign for password.value, including a single equal sign, through three equal signs.

    You should do some research and find out what the differences are between '=', 'is' and ' ='. '. They are essential to your code.

  • search form Web apps: how to retrieve the value of the data-source type field

    Hello

    My question is:

    How can I retrieve the value of the source field of a web - app data-types when you insert the "form web search apps" on a web page.

    I have a web application that contains fields from the data source of the type. These fields to recover the (data) value of the 'web app' - 'elements of the field' field of another web application.

    When I insert the form

    Web apps

    Web apps-search form

    Name of the Web application

    It displays the fields with the field (ie. string, number) types other than type of field 'data source '.

    (Note: in the mode 'model of list' module of data tags, the fields of the data source are visible).

    What other (alternative) possibilities are there to create a search form?

    Thanks for your help.

    Kind regards

    Carla

    By chance, I came up with this workaround. Of course there are other methods to get your data from a web - app, but if you want to use the 'Web apps search form', it would be a workaround.

    I noticed that the "Web apps entry form" contains all the fields of web applications for your web application (including the fields of the data source).

    It is possible to add the fields to the form of the "Web apps entry form" in the «Web apps search form»

    If you insert the "Web apps entry form" on a blank page, you will see all the fields in your web App including the "data source fields. The names of form fields contain something like.

  • What are the parameters? How are Variables differenet? Why we can not use variables to pass data to one sequnece to another? What is the advantage to use parameters instead of Variables?

    Hi all

    I am new to TestStand. Still in the learning process.

    What are the parameters? How are Variables differenet? Why we can not use variables to pass data to one sequnece to another? What is the advantage to use parameters instead of Variables?

    Thanks in advance,

    I'm sorry... I discovered that... its not at all possible to pass data to another sequence using variables... it must be through settings... once again I apologize for the display of such a stupid question

  • Add the data in a field of multiple selection?

    Just got got off the phone with the support of Eloqua ask about the possibility of adding data in a field of multiple selection over time. Apparently, it's possible through mailings of form, but no list will be mailed.  Wouldn't be great if during a download list, you had the ability to add data from a field in your file .csv for existing values in this area in Eloqua.  Here's a use case for this scenario... in our society of industry can be part of multiple market segments.  Depending on the event, a person can feel they are part of the market segment 'Radar', but another event specializing in Sonar... they indicate that they are part of the market segment "Sonar", both being true.  There is currently no easy way to enter these data in Eloqua over time as part of the downloads from the list.  Based on the scenario above, the existing value is 'Radar', but if "Sonar" is the value of the field for the next download it replaces the value of 'Radar '.  Ideally, we would be able to capture the two values.

    I said that if there is enough interest in this idea, Eloqua would consider developing a new option for downloads from the list add vs crush.  I hope others can find a use case for this idea.

    Hi Tina,

    I know it's a bit old but I had a simular problem on adding values to a multi select.  Here's how I approached it.

    1. Add a text based contact field Eloqua to transfer your csv values.  Let's call it "MultiSelect download Value" for this example.

    2. Add Eloqua add values to a multiselect contact field.  What we'll call "MultiSelect Final.

    3. create a program that will add the download list.

    4. in the program, create a step to update Contact data

    . in the update rule, update "Definitive MultiSelect' field, Append the value in the field value, value will be hardcoded, check use a delimiter": ", marks the conditional rule the field" value to download MultiSelect "equals the value hard coded or one that you would like the field to be.

    b. create all update settings you need for your data.

    I approached this way because our downloads from the list should be add the data over time.  The field ' value to download MultiSelect ' allows it to be overwritten on each download.

    Let me know if you want more details.

    Thank you

  • The MTS file date display information on screen time in CC PP

    I need to display the timestamp from date of the MTS files so I can see them in PP CC15. Is it possible to get rid of it within the program? Now, I have to do it in another program and then import the file. Takes too much time this way.

    Premiere Pro does not have this feature.  The closest you can get is display the timecode for clips that have it.  If these clips were recorded using Free Run, that would give you a time, but there is no way to see the date displayed in an overlay.

  • Count of clicks to another slide

    I asked recently on how to use variables to count the number of clicks made on a slide. I was wondering, is it possible to count a click of another slide?

    For example, I jump from slide 1 to slide 4. Click on slide 1 you can assign a value to display a picture on slide 4? In this way, if I just go through the slides by clicking on the next [bar] button, the picture does not appear.

    So, on your click box, set a tip action that:

    Show: Image (no matter what your image is called slide 4)

    Jump to slide: Slide 4

    Just make sure that your image is set to "not visible" by default, so it only

    is displayed when the button is clicked.

  • Age, based on the Date of birth field

    The problem that I am running is that I have a field "date of birth" which a user fills. There are only 8 spaces allowed feel MMDDYYYY with no separating "/" them.

    Here is the code that I have worked with:

    Event.Value = "";

    var dobValue = getField("date_of_birth").value;

    If ("dobValue! =" ") {}

    var date of birth = util.scand ("mm/dd/yyyy", dobValue);

    var today = new Date();

    calculate age in milliseconds

    var age = today.getTime () - dob.getTime ();

    convert age in years (millsec to sec * min * min in hours s * h in day * days in the year)

    truncated to whole years and adjust for binary floating point error

    Event.Value = Math.floor (age / (1000 * 60 * 60 * 24 * 365.2425)-0.005);

    }

    I tried to remove the "/" to "dd/mm/yyyy', I've also tried of to display MMDDYYYY but still no luck. If I enter 01/01/1990 it will return the exact age of "23".

    All ideas, while running the javascript debugger, it is stated: dob is null

    As always, thank you

    Nathan

    You get errors in the JavaScript console. ?

    As you create a possible number of the value of date of birth, you should use the valueAsString property to keep the value as a string and not let JavaScript convert it to a floating point number.

    Why do you use a different format for the date of birth of string as the format of the field conversion?

    Event.Value = "";
    var cDobField = 'date of birth '; field name date of birth;
    var cDobFormat = 'DDMMYYYY '; format of date of birth;
    oField var = this.getField (cDobField, 0, 0);
    if(oField == null) app.alert ("field of error for access to the"+ cDobField ");
    var dobValue = getField("date_of_Birth").valueAsString;
    If ("dobValue! =" ") {}
    var date of birth = util.scand (cDobFormat, dobValue);
    if(DOB == null) app.alert (' date string conversion Error "+ dobValue +"with the format"+ cDobFormat, 0, 0" ');
    var today = new Date();
    calculate age in milliseconds
    var age = today.getTime () - dob.getTime ();
    convert age in years (millsec to sec * min * min in hours s * h in day * days in the year)
    truncated to whole years and adjust for binary floating point error
    Event.Value = Math.floor (age / (1000 * 60 * 60 * 24 * 365.2425)-0.005);
    }

  • How to access a certain date in the date and time field SQL Server

    I have a field named job_date in a table in my database of the 8 SQL Server.

    The data type is datetime.

    Thus, the values for the fields as the 2013-03-11 15:55:52.000 look.

    How to query this field to include only the values of a certain date?

    For example

    < cfquery name = "get_job_name" datasource = 'abc' >

    SELECT FROM job_info job_date WHERE Job_name = March 12, 2013"

    < / cfquery >

    When I query the field now I get NO RECORDS.

    This is because as the fields like this 15:55:52.000 2013-03-11. instead of this March 12, 2013"

    How to access a certain date in the date and time field SQL Server when its formatting as this 15:55:52.000 2013-03-11. ?

    where job_date > = TheDateYouWant

    and job_date<>

    In addition, the format is irrelevent.  The only issue of date formats time is when you want to display.

  • Advanced to show/hide actions using an object that is set to show the project on another slide?

    I'm working on a piece of senario based e-Learning and I have built a few things with the help of advanced on a slide Actions that must be available in the rest of the project.

    But the idea falls off when I need to copy objects to another slide, give to each new instance and modify the script.

    In this spirit, I have configured the objects on the screen during the rest of the project property, but I am unable to get them to show or hide a different slide when clicking on a button on the slide.

    Is there anyway to make this work? Or am I aiming too high?

    It depends on the version you are using:

    In version 5: you can only hide objects, the value to display for the rest of the project, on leaves where the object is not 'really', where he has his script (http://lilybiri.posterous.com/playing-hide-and-seek-with-captivate-objects)

    Since version 5.5, you can hide AND show this kind of objects perfectly. My blog has a lot of examples of these workflows.

    In version 6, you can even display the buttons in form for the rest of the project, hide and show their. In previous versions, this kind of schedule is impossible for interactive objects.

    It is not clear what you are trying to achieve that you haven't told us the version of your database or provided no data for us to work with.

    I'm guessing that you are splitting a string separated by commas and want to retrieve rows from a table based on these individual values?

    Something like:

    SQL> ed
    Wrote file afiedt.buf

      1  select *
      2  from emp
      3  where ename in (
      4 with t as (select '&input_string' as txt from dual)
      5    select REGEXP_SUBSTR (txt, '[^,]+', 1, level)
      6    from t
      7    connect by level <= length(regexp_replace(txt,'[^,]*'))+1
      8*   )
    SQL> /
    Enter value for input_string: SCOTT,JAMES
    old 4: with t as (select '&input_string' as txt from dual)
    new 4: with t as (select 'SCOTT,JAMES' as txt from dual)

         EMPNO ENAME JOB MGR HIREDATE SAL COMM DEPTNO
    ---------- ---------- --------- ---------- ------------------- ---------- ---------- ----------
          7788 SCOTT      ANALYST         7566 19-04-1987 00:00:00       3000                    20
