Data hold is supported on zLinux mainframe? Any limitation?

We have Oracle database running on mainframes zLinux 9.2.0.4. We plan to build a custodian of data for HA.

Y at - it keeps data supported on zLinux mainframe? Any limitation for zLinux version? can I use a 9.2.0.4 on one side, 11.1 on the other side?

Access Metalink? Oracle supports running DataGuard on different versions of the OS, even different circuits firmware. The support matrix can be found in Metalink 413484.1. Some features are not supported in the configuration with different environments, which could also be found on the article or the links.

    Is Microsoft Failover Cluster ESXi 4.1 Shared Disk of NFS data store, it supported?

    We have a request from MS Failover Cluster configuration on Windows 2008 R2 2 guests with a storage shared for a web application. However, there is no VMFS storage of data or the ability of the CF to presending RDM. So, I created the disks shared on a NFS datastore using option "Setup for Failover Clustering and Microsoft Cluster Service" and have added the cluster disk and tested successful failover.

    But the MS cluster validation control cancelled storage and I want to know if that configuration is not taken because of supported.

    A notice would be useful.

    We are also working on setting up a cluster of ESXi for iSCSI storage, which can be leveraed for this purpose.

    Insert only, I don't think it's possible.
    But you can ora_rowscn pseudo-column and scn_to_timestamp the user function to get the time when the table was modified last:

    Scott@my11g SQL>select scn_to_timestamp(max(ora_rowscn)) lstmod from t1;

    LSTMOD
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
    13-DEC-10 05.05.22.000000000 PM

    Scott@my11g SQL>update t1 set val='stuff' where id=1;

    1 row updated.

    Scott@my11g SQL>commit;

    Commit complete.

    Scott@my11g SQL>select scn_to_timestamp(max(ora_rowscn)) lstmod from t1;

    LSTMOD
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
    13-DEC-10 05.07.19.000000000 PM

    But I'm not wheither it is reliable to be used on the production database.

  • Loud music on hold telephone support

    When I call technical support on Apple music on hold that I find difficult to deal with. I don't seem to find a way to lower and I refused my phone as low as it goes. I wear a hearing aid and the reverbates high decibels in my ear and it is difficult to hear the representative of tech because my ear was dynamited.  Someone help? It's not the music I'd choose, but I can deal with that... It is the strong music alters my hearing when wearing a hearing aid.

    Apple... any suggestions?

    Help someone else has this problem?

    I don't see that Apple that creates exceptional technological products cannot understand this. !

    Hello

    I'm not Apple. I'm another user here on the forums. I did a little research and found this link for "Apple support for hard of hearing" click on this link and select "Get Started" this will bring you to two or three other screens where you describe simply or selected the closest match possible to describe your problem, it if does not exist and you can't see your problem, simply click on 'subject unregistered. , with a few words, describe the problem and click on 'ok' or 'next', then you should be able to chat with someone online, or set a reminder if you do not have to wait pending: https://www.apple.com/support/accessibility/contact/

    Cat guys are very good. Well the phone, people are too but I want to say is that if you want things to be silent rather than possible decibel telephone tips, then the cat will get my vote. They are generally available 24/7.

    Apple makes great products, which can generate a high demand for the service and support. Surely, it can be difficult to navigate through the jungle of possible solutions here on the forums.

    I hope this helps.

    Hello

    I have Oracle 12 c installed in my system. I created an SP that returns a Table when I try to run it in SQL Developer, it gives me the correct results, but when I call it my DOTNET application it gives me the error-'datatype of the column unsupported.            SYS.DBMS_SQL.RETURN_RESULT (rc, TRUE) ;

    Where is my mistake?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello Christina,

    Sorry Wizard, you need to use is the "form > form on Table with Report", because the normal create assistant interactive report allows you to enter a query.
    Once you have completed the wizard, take a look at the generated SQL statement (must use the dbms_lob.getlength) and the value in "number Format / Date" for this column.

    On Windhose for any service must have been created using the oradim command.
    Oracle tutorials are usually centered on Unix, because Windhose is an odd man out, so they do not discuss.
    "Please do the needful" and create the service before the beginning of the instance in nomount mode

    Tip: oradim is documented and has a help = clause of y.

    IIRC there is an option in control database (in the part of the interview) that automates everything.
