Support for Vista? Any suspicion of another service pack to extend its life?
I read theis page http://support.microsoft.com/gp/lifeselectindex.
Y at - it no suspicion of another service pack for Vista Home Premium 32-bit or 64-bit extended life cycle?
Why the life of XP would extend beyond Vista? I guess that last Vista a little more or less at the same time would end.

I have a right problem, my computer laptop need to format I have product key for windows vista home basic 32 bit service pack 2 but no cd, please help me
Hello
There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.
You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.
They should do this for a small fee.
And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.
The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)
Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.
Ask them to the proper key sequence.
And if you do not score a manufacturer of recovery on your hard drive, you should be able to make your own recovery from her disks to reinstall the operating system.
Go to programs > name of the manufacturer of your computer > then their system or recovery tools software topics for them, depending on how it is formulated.
If you can't find any reference to it, contact the manufacturer for advice on how to make these recovery disks
Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.
If this happens, you may need to try this instead:
You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.
Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.
And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Hi, my OS is Windows Vista Home Edition 32 bit Service Pack 2 - installed on XP by the owner without first unintalling XP. Although my Device Manager lists the mini-map Dell Wireless WLAN 1395 as working properly, what Windows says that it has stopped working correctly because the driver installed is not compatible with my current operating system (just one of the many questions). Although I can get online wireless most of the time, IE and Google Chrome often freeze and there are a few minutes, I got a blue screen - not for the first time - that shut down Windows. I note the other error message information that a fatal error has occurred that required Windows stops, so am not sure that the two problems are related or not. I tried to find a compatible driver for what I assume is a WLAN Mini card for the original XP OS on the compatibility of Vista site, but there is no driver is listed for the Dell Wireless WLAN mini-map 1395.
I have the Vista installation CD, but not the verification code necessary to reinstall. It will appear somewhere on this computer under the program or the ancillary system (information) available to administrators?
Just out of curiosity, there is a feature of rectangular white USB printed with the name "Biogear" attached to one of my ports, although he is not listed among devices on my computer since the computer laptop original owner died and I can not ask what is its purpose or what program it was meant to facilitate. I tried to remove it and it came out (the envelope detached the part inserted into the USB port) without affecting my ability to access the Internet wireless. An internet search has a line of golf apparel and a few articles in German... Any ideas? Thanks, Lara
If the original owner installed Vista on XP, you need to reformat and do a fresh install of Vista or you will continually have problems multipling. If the original owner is an update from XP to Vista it is OK. However, the problems that you're seen suggest the original owner installed Vista on XP. Verification code (if found on the computer) will not be for Vista but for XP. As long as your operating system is installed, you can retrieve the key with Free Key finder software, do a search and you will find them on the internet. Also if you have the CD and ask for a new key to Microsoft you will get it at a very low price, I don't know no current tax, was $ $10,00. Since you are not the original owner (and the first owner died) both of these options may not be totally legal, unless you can provide proof of purchase or the person deseased was a member of the family.

Vista Home basic - problem installing service pack
My updates are horribly outdated and I try to install service pack 1 on Vista Home basic and receive an error - 0 x 80073712. I tried microsoft tech people advised but are unable to install. Can someone help me?
Hello
This problem may occur if one of the following conditions is true:
- A program on your computer interfered with the installation of the service pack.
- There is an inconsistency in the store of Windows services. The store Windows maintenance is a required component to install service packs.
I suggest you try the steps from the following link:

The Adobe Connect Add-in crashes when I try to share the screen (office) in Windows Vista Home Premium (32 - bit) Service Pack 2. I get the error message with the title "Adobe Connect Add-in has stopped working". The message said: "a problem caused blocking the program works correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. "The only button I can click on is"close the program ". I made sure that the screen resolution is a multiple of 16 ("1280 by 768 pixels"), as this article says. I use Adobe Connect 9 with the 'named price model host. Does anyone have the solution to this problem? Thank you.
Do not know what could cause the problem, but Vista is not an operating system, for what it's worth.
Acrobat Connect Pro data sheet
I suggest that you uninstall and reinstall the Flash Player and see if it helps Uninstall Flash Player | Windows.
It looks like not the resolution of the screen is the problem, as you mentioned, it should be something else. I would also recommend that you check your video drivers to see if there is an update, because who could help.

Check with the support of Compaq, their online documentation and drivers and their forums for

a process that solves the problem.Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.

How to get support for Vista to reinstall? (Drive lost)
I'm working on a PC that has a few problems that I decided that my next course of action was to reinstall vista. I checked the Disk Manager, and there is no separate partition. And the owner of the laptop has lost his drive to the copy of vista ultimate. supplied with the computer. However, we have the product registration key. Any help would be great.
There is no Vista free download legal available.
Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.
Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, Acer, recovery disk/s etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
original title: failed to get the security updates and critical update for Vista (KB2541763), to load for Vista
All the other updates, including security, for other Microsoft software will open (WIndows Explorer, Microsoft Office, etc.).
This seems to have started after downloading and installing McAfee on 6/17. Updates have been well before that date.
Service Pack 3 is installed.
All updates important/critical loading fine up until this date. I have 11 updates essential and important to load.
I totally removed McAfee from the PC, including the stage you purchase from McAfee for cleaning the system. Now run the ESET security suite.Hi Dan,.
Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft answers Forum. Follow the troubleshooting steps in this thread for your problem with the 80070005 error. Alternatively, you can try to install the update in small groups to see if that fixes the problem.
