Data transfer of blackBerry Smartphones old BB BB-new

I bought a new BB Torch 9810 to replace a lost BB Torch 9810.  I backed up the old BB.  Do to restore data to the new BB torch? How?  I use the desktop blackberrry Manager on a Mac.

Thank you

I use the Desktop with PC software, so I hope that my remarks are also valid for your situation.
Once your phone is plugged in and has been recognized by the software, click device at the top of the software, and then click transfer device. After that, follow the steps.

I hope this helps.

    Hi Tamara133

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

If you stay at 9320 curve then more easiset way to do this is an Assistant to switch device using Desktop software.

KB23677  :  How to switch using BlackBerry Desktop Software devices.

Or if you want to perform a selective restore to your new 9320 then first do a full backup of your old 9700 using desktop software. Once you have your backup connect your 9320 and run the software, select the device from software > restore > data choose selected since your last backup you did > scroll down the list and select only the password keeper and memo key data in this list, then click on apply.

Oh dear - your new device has a COMPUTER policy. And, since you received the device in your company, you must seek their help because it is most likely that it is this policy that prevents you from doing what you want to...

Now, if they come back and say "we don't know anything about"... so there are some things that you can do... all are 100% destructive of any data that you have on your BB, then plan on what it is once more "nines"...

  • BlackBerry Smartphones old Curve 8310, point Orange & some functions limited-Solutions?

There is some restriction on the phone that keeps me change features, formats code or firewall. To what I want to change (like the formatting of the text), there is an orange dot, an indication that this issue is not editable. Maybe it's old corporate phone with restrictions. A judge strange hard reboot does not eliminate the restrictions. All solutions? TKS

Hello and welcome to the community!

If there is a latent policy, there is only one way to remove it... and while I can't tell exactly what you hear of "hard reboot", this probably isn't the appropriate method. To check, however, see this:

    • KB30076 How to check for an it on a BlackBerry smartphone policy

And, even if it seems to result in a negative, there is perhaps a COMPUTER policy on board... 'stealth' rare, but they exist. To clean, you must do:

    • KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings

Of course, remember to take a backup before and after restore... but do not make big. One of the saved databases contains policy COMPUTER and, if you restore that, you'll be right where you started. On the contrary, only backup/restore these specific databases that need you, specifically avoiding those that relate to politics. You can find a complete set of instructions in the thread linked to my auto-sig on this post.

    Good luck!

    Hi all

Recently, I removed my main of my device e-mail address while he is on vacation.

Everything working the normal flow is restored, but after being in the Pocket for awhile everything stops again.

    Any ideas?

I noticed the problem when I started getting these archaic messages called SMS asking me why I do not answer to my BBM... naturally the idea of not receiving them is scaring me senseless!

Lost my beloved 8330 with tons of data into it, but I have an old backup to a month using Blackberry Desktop Manager V 4.3.0.17.

Verizon wanted to know if I wanted to Android. No, I'm staying with Blackberry, so I got a new Blackberry Bold 9650.

BUT... big but Blackberry Desktop Manager seems to have no way to allow me to put this old backup of data in the new 9650.

You should probably switch to a later version of the Desktop software. You can then use this KB:

    Hello

Although it is possible to create a new ID of BB and move your BBs on the new BB ID association, the "cost" is that you lose all your pre-registrations AppWorld, including purchased applications. There is no automated method to move data to the new ID... BB it would need human intervention on the EDGE to migrate records to a new BB ID AW.

I've seen reports of this email recovery take up to 2 hours to get through (due I think to the backlog related to the publication of polls BBM 7). Also, you must have access to this account other than your BB email, webmail, PC/Outlook, something; for security reasons, the password reset e-mail is not distributed in the BB, any e-mail account is used.

  • How to transfer a playlist from old mac to new mac

I just copied a CD on my old Itunes Mac (because I don't have CD player in the new Macbook air). Then, I created a playlist with the tracks on the CD. Now, how to transfer the new list of reading old mac to new mac?

    Hello rbaenzm,

I understand you want to get music from a CD in your new MacBook Air, but you do not have a CD player.  Since you have already imported your CDs in your old (er) Mac iTunes library, you can use home sharing to share these files with your MacBook Air:

Share your iTunes library on your home network

If you plan to do it often, it may be easier to our SuperDrive Apple USB drive simply attach to your MacBook Air.

Your profile shows that you use OS X Mavericks on your computer.  If you update to OS X El Capitan and subscribe to our new Apple's music service, you can enable iCloud music library to sync your music on all of your devices.  Click on the links below for more information:

Update of OS X El Capitan

Join the Apple music on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac or PC

Music Apple Sync on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and your computer

With Apple's music subscription, you can access your music library on all your devices using the music library to iCloud. When you connect to Apple music on any of your devices, you can see your library in my music.

    Your music library includes:

    • songs, albums, and playlists that you have added in the catalogue of Apple's music;
    • music you bought on iTunes; and
    • music from other sources in iTunes on your Mac or PC, including the CD that you ripped and music that you have created yourself.

    See you soon,.
