    Hello Cort Adkins,

Issues such as this error, "the source file is corrupted" is usually a RAM problem. If you have several sticks of RAM, removel, restart and test.
It is best to test a bar at a time until you find the one that is causing the error to corruption.

Go to the Start button and in the search box, type in memory. This will bring up a Memory Diagnostic Test.
You can also test RAM using an application like Memtest.

Please answer back with an update and let us know if it helps.

  • Solution for 'Data1.cab' - problem without Acrobat installation disc.

I have a Vaio laptop, Sony, using Win 7 64 bit. Acrobat is included and installed, when I bought it. I have no disk with the operating system or the program, just a hidden partition to restore the system. Now, I have the problem to update my Acrobat X Standard. The facility to treat the updater cancels, because it can not find the famous 'Data1.cab '. I tried all the steps of the solution proposed by Adobe, except the new facility, because I have no disk! What can I do? I have will work to install the trial version of Acrobat DC on the old? Thank you!

  • Trying to load PRE8 on Win7 but I get a data1.cab error

    Hello world

I bought a Department of education through 8 bundle Photoshop and Premier.

I tried to load both on my laptop.  Photoshop worked but first Elements 8 keep saying error - Error 1335. the file 'Data1.cab' required for this installation is damaged and cannot be used.  This may indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.

I have it loaded on a computer with Xp and it worked.  I then removed and tried again on Win7 and the error appeared again. I sent again and they sent me a mistake a same new happened.

    I'm not lost.  Any suggestions?

    I have a HP Pavillion DV7 in WIN7 32 bit operating.

    Thank you

    Amanda

    Amanda,

The CAB file is a "CAB" file and contains a large part of the code, which is installed in a container archived and special. This error message usually occurs when the installation DVD is damaged, scratched, or has fingerprints on it. For some reason, the Setup program cannot read in the DVD.

Since it is forbidden to make a backup copy of the program installation discs, I use a DVD, such as the free ImgBurn copy utility and copy your DVD. Often, that you will have a better copy of the DVD, if the damage has to be light. I got several DVD system that could not be read by the installer, which worked perfectly through just to make a copy.

We can then copy the entire contents of the DVD to the computer. Most do this on the desktop and install from there. Again, make the copy (although on the HARD disk here) seems work for many.

Finally, contact Adobe and ask filter replacement, because it seems that yours is damaged.

Good luck and hope one of these works for you.

  • Data1.cab file not found for AOE 3:Warcheifs

I tried to install Age of Empires 3: demo Warchiefs, which is downloaded from the microsoft Web site... I get the error as Data1.cab file not found... Help, please.

    Hi Madgaming,

You try to install it from a CD or a DVD or directly from the hard drive?

I suggest you to download the AOE 3: Warchiefs once more and then try to install it.

If you are still having the same problem, then you can try to install in XP compatibility mode:

-Right click on the file setup.exe
    -Left click on properties.
    -Click on the Compatibility tab.
-Place a check on "run this program in compatibility mode for" and select Windows XP.

Note: The link also mentions that the operating system supported on Windows XP.

  • I have an old computer and I keep getting an internal error 2356.data1.cab. How do fix you this?

I have installed a new hard drive on my computer, used all the CD that came with the computer when I bought it.  I don't have a CD for Microsoft windows programs, but the paperwork with the computer says you can go to WINNT32 and install it.  Well, when I tried that I got the message "error 2356.data1.cab internal.   Many sites say they have a free repair for this what cost is near $100.  So I replaced the new hard drive with the old and I got the same message!  Help!

    Hello

It's more than likely an error with the installation files.

I suggest you to start in safe mode and get the old hard drive installed.

Download the drivers for the new drive and restart the computer.

Install the new drive with the downloaded drivers and check if that helps:

  • Windows Vista: Error 42127 {archive CAB is corrupted.}

Recently, whenever I run Avast aswboot, I get the following article in the search results: file C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Low\Content.IE5\KAUA3EK2\IE8-WindowsVista-x86-ENU[1].exe|>iesetup.exe error 42127 {archive CAB is corrupted.}  I tried to access the file affected so that I can remove it.  I'm using the advanced search with the option "View hidden files", but all I get is the search statement Avast - not the file itself.  I think that I have to sign as an administrator, but how do I do this?  What else could be necessary to remove this file? Thanks for any help!

    Hello

    1. you made any hardware or software changes the computer recently?

    2. What is the mark of a computer model?

    Step 1.

You must be logged on as administrator to do these steps.

    Step 2.

I would suggest allowing you to run a Microsoft security scan to confirm that the computer is virus-free or remaining viruses are deleted.

    Microsoft Safety Scanner: http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Security Scanner warning: there will be data loss through an analysis using the Microsoft safety scanner to eliminate viruses as appropriate.

In addition, I would like to inform you that if the file is infected, then the analysis should disinfect or remove it entirely.

    Step 3.

Start the computer in safe mode, and then delete the file if you are unable to delete it in normal mode.

Start your computer in safe mode: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

    I hope this helps.

    The installation process fails with:

"Error 1335: Cabinet file data1.cab required for this installation is damaged and cannot be used.".

I used a copy of the installer on another computer Windows XP SP3, and installed correctly.

I tried the following unsuccesully, the same error occurs each time:

    1 / /Unregister and then/regserver MSIEXEC

2 / deleted MSI. DLL, MSIEXEC. DLL, MSIHND. DLL and re-installed the latest Installer Microsoft MSI v4.5.

    3 / delete C:\Program Files\Common InstallShield

4 / implemented a fix registry CAB file.

5 / rebooted the PC in a minimum configuration (MSCONFIG to disable all services by default, no provision of the automatic launch at system startup, but)

    6. completely uninstalled antivirus, firewall

7 / made sure the path of the destination folder is short (ex. C:\VMC)

Any suggestions please let me know.

  • Error 1311 - missing Data1.cab file

I studied this problem and still need help because I think my problem is different. First of all, here is what happened...

I bought and legally own CS4 Master Collection. I had it installed on my desktop. I ended up uninstalling Adobe Acrobat 9 pro. A week after having done that I had to do a system restore point BEFORE restore I uninstalled it. If the program obviously showed once again, but with the error. Due to the mistake, I uninstalled CS4 completely, thinking I could reinstall it again. Well when I went to reinstall, he already said that Adobe Acrobat 9 is already installed so I could not select to reinstall. All other installed programs very well. And then when I try to repair Acrobat 9, it shows not even during installation with the other CS4 collection. And when I double click to open it, it opens and when I go to fix it, it will open a box to install saying it will install and then gives this error 1311 saying the Data1.cab file is missing. And it is absent.

So my question is, how do I uninstall when there is no option to uninstall. Or how to make the Data1.cab required instead to see if it will indeed install correctly?

JeneenSW you have the option to uninstall through programs & features/add and remove programs?  I'm sorry that you have not specified which version of Windows you are using?  But yes, please run uninstall before running the cleanup tool.
