Database link during the updating of the validation

Hello everyone,

I am trying to create a materialized view using a link of database as a connection between two oracle databases.
The data source must be oracle 10.2.0.3 and destination must be a 10.2.0.4 database.

There is in principle no problem to create materialized views that serves the database connection link.
So especially on request refreshes the excellent work.
The only thing that doesn't work is one on materialized view fast commit refresh.
Oracle is the following:

Error report:
SQL error: ORA-12054: cannot set the attribute ON COMMIT refresh for the materialized view
12054 00000 - "cannot set the refresh attribute COMMIT for the materialized view.
* Cause: The materialized view did not meet the requirements for update to
moment of validation.
* Action: Specify only valid options.

In addition, I have to say, that there is a log table.
The remote user has all rights on the table itself and the table of the newspaper (for testing purposes).

I read on the difficulties concerning the links to the database and validation in metalink materialized.

So, can someone tell me, if the problem is still present, or if I do something bad terrribly?

Any serious comment on this topic would be great.

Cann't you use commit to MV based on a remote table. Instead of you commit set refresh interval (NEXT section).

    Replace the certificate turned out to be a little more work than expected. I created a new certificate (signed by our internal CA) with subjectAltName DNS =(vcenter fqdn) and = (vcenter ip) IP. According to the documentation for VMware, we only need a few commands to obtain these certificates installed, but nevermind:

    / usr/sbin/vpxd_servicecfg change chain.pem rui.key certificate

    has failed with error VC_CFG_RESULT = 650 code ("vCenter Server is unable to re-encrypt its various configuration settings", see http://kb.vmware.com/kb/2057248). I also replaced the certificate of service inventory according to the documentation, but the vmware-vpxd service would not start again. The /var/log/vmware/vpx/vpxd.log file has an explanation:

    [- info "utilvpxdVdb"] [VpxdVdb::SetDBType] DSN connection: VMware VirtualCenter with vc username

    [- error "commonvpxCrypt"] [VpxKey::Decrypt] broken crypto: error: 0407109F:rsa routines: RSA_padding_check_PKCS1_type_2:pkcs decoding error

    [- error "commonvpxCertificate"] [VpxdCert] Unable to decrypt the password: key to encrypted data application failed (probably the wrong key)

    [- error "utilvpxdVdb"] [VpxdVdb::SetDBType]: database error: ODBC error: (00000).

    [- error "Default"] Error obtaining configuration information from the database

    [- error "vpxdvpxdMain"] [Init] Init failed: VpxdVdb::Init (VpxdVdb::GetVcVdbInstId (), false, false, NULL)

    In other words, the database password cannot be read. Since the VCSA, the password is available in clear of /etc/vmware-vpx/vcdb.properties we can just run vpxd Pei to encrypt the password again in the vpxd configuration file. This does not solve the problem with vpxd immediately although:

    [- info "utilvpxdVdb"] [VpxdVdb::SetDBType] DSN connection: VMware VirtualCenter with vc username

    [- info "Default"] [VdbSchemaLoader::LookupSchemaFromDB] Schema information and responsible for DB index

    [- error "linuxvpxLdap_linux"] [LdapBackup] A new attempt to link (1/10 attempts) in 10 seconds

    Now the problem is with the LDAP (SSO) password. We will re-encrypt that hand as well. Start by getting the SSO return of decryption password using the old key:

    grep "^ mot_passe =' /etc/vmware-vpx/instance.cfg.certChange |" Cup-c 9 - | TR-d '-' | Base64 d | Python-c "import sys".

    data = sys.stdin.read)

    data_len = len (data)

    I'm in range (data_len):

    sys.stdout.Write(Data[data_len-i-1])

    " | OpenSSL rsautl-/ssl/old.key inkey - pkcs - decrypt

    Then re - encrypt the password with the new key:

    echo - n decrypted word of past | OpenSSL rsautl-/etc/vmware-vpx/ssl/rui.key inkey - pkcs - encrypt | Python-c "import sys".

    data = sys.stdin.read)

    data_len = len (data)

    I'm in range (data_len):

    sys.stdout.Write(Data[data_len-i-1])

    " | Base64-w0 | SED / = / \ / g ='

    We put this value encrypted as mot_passe = in the configuration etc/vmware-vpx/instance.cfg file.

    Today, vmware-vpxd will start correctly (I rebooted just to be sure) and the VCSA Upgrade Wizard migrated from the instance, including the complete inventory, without problems. Now all that remains is to find How to install customized VCSA 6.0 SSL certificates.

  • Using the database link in the applications

    Hello
    I just configured and created a PUBLIC database link on my oracle 10g. Can I use it with success of sqlplus do some like select simple:

    "SQL > select * from table"@dblink ".

    The query returns the result as expected.

    Now, I would like to use this public link in my applications, but the problem is that the link seems to be only available in the SYS schema.

    Ho can I access to a schema?

    In other words, to do some select (and insert) of my applications APEX by using the link to the db. If I try to select said, all I get is

    OK, thanks all for the help, I found the problem.
    It seems that I created the link of database public and not public.

    I gave both of them and re - create public database link and now it works.

    You will need to create a link between Test and prod DB access. We need only select access from user@prod to user1@test.

    Could someone please answer for example?

    If test for prod

    create public database link to_prod connect to the user identified by password using 'to_prod ';

    Check that to_prod is directed to your production database.

    I don't have two databases, so in my sol10 database I create two database links sol10@Darren2 and sol11@Darren2 both pointing to itself (back to sol10 database). That's why I use qualifiers link db. The two links you connect as a Darren2 user with password Tiger!. The global database name is sol10 and initialization of setting global_names = true. As you can see what global_name (sol10) corresponds to the name of the link in sol10@Darren2 db (again, the link name is sol10 and Darren2 is qualifying link) select vai db link works OK. But the sol11@Darren2 link fails because the name sol11 link does not match the name db global sol10. However, as soon as I change global_names false, sol11@Darren2 works fine. It will be useful.

    Hiya,

    I'm test ss4 Designer to create a simple form that is submitted by e-mail.

    Everything works except for my text boxes...  They are implemented in the form of required fields, but because I've included the text by default with the instructions, if you press on submit without changing the fields, they will not validate as empty and does not throw an error message.

    I searched the forums all day for a fix, but I'm too new to understand where to put the code, etc.  I tried to add

    Hello

    There is a script editor.  If you select the field, then you will be able to select the event in the 'Show' taking place (above the 'Design' tab), and then the code window will be active and you can enter your code.  You can extend the default value of a single line.

  • Why get ORA-00942 during the validation of PL/SQL cursor

    The database is 10 gr 2.

    ST_PKG_UTILITIES contains a procedure called "p_insert_update_person_info".

    The procedure includes a cursor that selects a view 'CDS_CIS_ETHNICITY '.

    I am logged in as the owner of the schema of the package. The view lies in another schema, but I have the right to SELECT on the view.

    When I try to compile the package, I get "ORA-00942: table or view does not exist", pointing to the CDS_CIS_ETHNICITY view.

    However, if I SELECT directly from the view using a SQL window, it returns information without problem.

    Code view is a SELECT statement on a table across a db_link. However, given that I can select directly from the view, I am not clear why I would get the error because the view is selected, within PL/SQL.

    Note that the table was originally, on the same server that the schema that I am now, so no db_link was necessary. When the schema of the table has been moved to a new server, we added the db_link. However, the package was never changed, we were careful to reproduce the names of objects that are used by the package, when building the db_link.

    Ideas on this issue would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello

    Grant privileges directly to the owner of the whole.

    Looks like the privileges that you have about this point of view have been granted to a role, and the owner of the package has this role.
    Roles do not count inside stored procedures. You must have privileges granted directly to the owner (or to the PUBLIC, which probably does not apply in this case).

    Stop and start receiving and then create a database link running the following command in Toad:

    CREATE THE DATABASE LINK TEST_SQLS PUBLIC

    To CONNECT to "read_rema".

    IDENTIFIED BY 'password '.

    WITH THE HELP OF 'GS2PIASQL03 '.

    When I test the link of database (with the option of Toad) or run a query such as:

    Select * of sys.sysobjects@TEST_SQLS;

    I get the same error

    Please I really need your help I really really need this to work and I'm completely lost know.

    I look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Vinny.

    Hey Vinny,

    No, the host tnsnames.ora must not refer to the place where the SQL * Server database is active.  The tnsnames.ora entries is intended to guide the user who calls the database link by using this entry to a listener running on the computer and the port in the entry. The listener then directs the user to everything that is referenced by the SID in the listener. If it is an Oracle database, then you are linked to the database. If this is an entry of gateway referenced by having the (HS = OK) then you are linked to the gateway which then liaises with what non-Oracle database is accessible through the gateway of the option.  You cannot directly connect to the non-Oracle database by using the IP address of machine non-Oracle in tnsnames.ora. You need to go through the door entry referenced by the listener to establish the connection.

    For the listener, you can set the path to the ORACLE_HOME of the gateway or RDBMS. However, the best option is to give the listener a different name from the default, so for the gateway, you might have-

    (ORACLE_HOME=S:\app\oracle\product\11.2.0\tg_1)

    (PROGRAM = dg4odbc)

    )

    )

    LISTENER_GTW =

    (DESCRIPTION_LIST =

    (DESCRIPTION =

    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP) (HOST = SLPIAM29)(PORT = 1525))

    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = CIP)(KEY = EXTPROC1525))

    )

    )

    You can then use-

    stop LISTENER_GTW

    Start LISTENER_GTW

    Kind regards

  • Use the 9i on a database 8i database links?

    Just a really quick question... I can't easily find an answer...

    If I connect to a database to 8i a link of a 9i database database, can I then use syntax on the 8i database 9i, or am I still hold to the 8i syntax?

    NO.
    The database link passes the SQL to the remote database, which will deal with SQL.
    The remote 8i database will not be able to interpret the syntax 9i.
    Also, you can not use regular expressions in your 9i database by sending them through a database link. The SQL sent to the remote database will not scan in the remote database.

    But, by all means, try it. If in doubt, try it.
