Database loading image

Hi all

The structure of my request is:
-a flex client
-a tomcat server
-a mysql database
I use Hibernate to retrieve items from the database.

I try to have the client flex display images loaded while the database is running. These images are stored as arrays of bytes (byte []) and were produced in java with the following code type: ImageIO.write (myBufferedImage, "PNG", myByteArrayOutputStream); These arrays of bytes represents quite well the content of a png image file.

Is there a chance that I might be able to produce a BitmapData out of the ByteArray instance that I can get back on the side flex or should I rely on some sort of a decoder? Another solution might be to rewrite my storage mechanism but I will try, as much as possible to avoid having to change the content of my database course ;)

Thanks in advance,

Stone.

Yes. Of course, it should work. Have you tried? You have problems?

Easier verification would be to start withcomponent and set the url to the servlet which ensures the pumping bytes of the image and see if it displays the right.

    Hi bh56,

    This may be due to you give a bad way while loading images using apex_epg_config.sql or apxldimg.sql.

    Reference: Re: blank page after successfully installing 4.2.0 4.2.6 apex

    In the link above thread, I explained, what is the problem with the parameter you give to the script apex_epg_config.sql and apxldimg.sql.

    Now, at APEX 5.0 during installation or during the upgrade you must use the same script apex_epg_config.

    Reference: Re: problem upgrade 5 Apex

  • Loading images into movieclip

    Hi guys,.

    I'm new here! I was wondering if someone could explain to me what I'm doing wrong here.

    As part of a mapping system of the Flash-based campus, I am creating an area of 'Information on the rooms' which displays some information about the rooms around the campus, according to the data stored in a Microsoft Access database.

    The .asp file that I use works fine, and my dynamic text boxes display correctly the information that each record in the database is queried.

    However, I also try to post a picture of the room. The image files are located in the same directory as the .swf, they are not progressive .jpgs. I tried to use the following code (which works for everything except images):

    onClipEvent (data)
    {
    Create a Clip to load images in
    mcRoomDatabase.createEmptyMovieClip ("MyImagesHolder", 0);

    strName = name;
    strBuilding = construction;
    strType = Type;
    strProjector = projector;
    strSeats = seats;
    strRoamNet = RoamNet;
    strPosition = "Record" Add String (CurrentRecord + 1) add 'to' String (TotalRecords);

    loadMovie (name + '.jpg', mcRoomDatabase.MyImagesHolder);

    }

    -----------

    Nothing will load in the movieclip. If I use the code (for an imaginary room called Room100)

    loadMovie ("Room100.jpg", mcRoomDatabase.MyImagesHolder);

    the picture perfectly. If I put a new dynamic text box to display

    Name & ".jpg".

    It shows Room100.jpg, which is the same as what I walked when I try directly above.

    I'm confused as to where I'm wrong? Sorry for the long post!

    We know not if you load external movie, then in the
    film external loading a jpg. If you you have a synchronization problem in that the
    scenario is not increasing and can run before the swf is completely
    load.

    You are better off with MovieClipLoader if you need to know when the swf file is
    load so you can perform methods on the loaded swf file.

    Or you can insert the code to load the image into each external swf file.

    Other points:
    1.
    onClipEvent (data)
    {
    According to me, fires whenever bytes arrive, which could be several times
    We if you are in test mode or live.
    2.
    Add the operator is deprecated. Use + instead.

    3. If you create a critical application mission your code reveals that you need
    update your skills AS you use old techniques.

  • Load Images

    I think there is some sort of procedure to load images in the 8080 / I images directory. IAM pretty sure that this happens in the setting of apex, if some body knows how to do this part please

    In your APEX installation directory, there is an apxldimg.sql script that will do the trick.
    Or open a WebDav connection to your database and drag & drop it (assuming you're on a Windows client).

  • Failed to load image

    I have a program that dynamically loads from a database, the mirror images, loads then adds it to the rawChildren of the canvas, however, if there is no such thing as an image is there a way to test for the existence of the image and if it does not load an image of "model"? I have the following code:

    public function imgLoader (): void
    {
    var context: LoaderContext = new LoaderContext();
    context.checkPolicyFile = true;
    This.img = new Image();
    This.img.source = this.img_path;
    this.img.maintainAspectRatio = true;
    this.img.scaleContent = false;
    this.img.autoLoad = false;
    this.img.loaderContext = context;
    this.img.addEventListener (Event.COMPLETE, handleImageLoad);
    try {}
    This.img.Load ();
    } catch(err:*) {}
    Alert.Show ("unable to load Image:" + this.img_path);
    }
    }

    so of course, I have an event listener function that does all the fun things img once the image will load.

    However, if the image does not exist, the Event.COMPLETE is never called, the test is 'successful' Flex is concerned, is there an event listener that I'm missing that is triggered if the load fails?

    -Mike

    It turns out that it was easier than expected...
    I've added the following listener:
    this.img.addEventListener (IOErrorEvent.IO_ERROR, handleImageError);

    function handleImageError(e:IOErrorEvent):void {}
    Alert.Show ("unable to load image:" + img_path);
    }

    and this was the alert that I expect when my path of the image fails!

    Mid day Fx stopped loading images for buttons, images on Web sites, etc. Can I use other browsers on my Mac and they work fine. I have reset Fx and tried with no Add - installed add-ons. I even deleted and reinstalled. No change.

    You would need to make the change on the subject: config pref permissions.default.image page and set it to 2 to block images by default.

    I called some sites as exceptions under content > load images automatically. The next time I open Firefox, these exceptions are not there.
    This also happens in privacy > cookies. The exceptions that I put to disappear the next time I open Firefox.
    How can I make these permanent exceptions?

    In case you use "clear history of Firefox closing:

    • do not delete Site preferences

    Note that compensation "Preferences of Site" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, windows pop up, installation of software and passwords.

    You can control and manage permissions for all areas on the Subject: authorizations page or for the current domain via the "Site identity button" (globe/lock) on the address bar and click on "More information" to open "Page Info" and go to the permissions tab.

  • How to load images with a delay?

    Let's say I have a JSON from an HTTP request. The JSON contains several JPG and text links.

    For each JPG link and text, I want that they be displayed in a field like that.

    And here is the code in the field:

    public ProductField extends Field {

        String text;
        Bitmap bmp

        public CustomField(String text, String imageURL){
            bmp = Bitmap.getBitmapResource("blank.png");
        }

        public void paint(Graphics g){
            //....
        }

        public void updateBitmap(String url){
            bitmap = BitmapUtil.loadBitmapFromURL(url);

            // draw the bitmap on XYRect
            dest = new XYRect(0, 0, bitmap.getWidth(), bitmap.getHeight());
            invalidate();
        }
    }

    I realize that load images takes time, so I don't load them immediately. I have only to load the text and display an empty bitmap in the bitmap field. The actual bitmap will be charged when the updateBitmap() method is called.

    And here's how to add these field on the screen (not a 100% valid code, but I hope you will illustrate the idea)

    VerticalFieldManager vfm = new VerticalFieldManager

    // an array of bitmap URLS, which will be loaded later
    final String[] urls = new String[json_array_size];

    for (int x = 0; x < json_array.size; x++){
        CustomField field = new CustomField(..);

        // store bitmap URLs in array
        urls[x] = json_array.getJSONObject(x).getString("url");
        vfm.add(field);
        vfm.add(new SeparatorField());
    }

    Thread t = new Thread( new Runnable() {
        public void run() {
            for(int i = 0; i < len;i += 2) {
                synchronized(UiApplication.getEventLock()) {
                    CustomField cf = (CustomField) vfm.getField(i);
                    cf.updateBitmap(urls[i]);
               }
                try{
                    Thread.sleep(2000);
                }
                catch(Exception e){ }
                }
            }
    });

    Seems that all the images are loaded simultaneously. What I want is something like:

    display bitmap #1-2 seconds of delay - display bitmap #2 - delay 2 sec - display bitmap #3 - delay 2 sec etc..

    How to solve this problem?

    You can remove the block synchronized as you don't make any changes to the user interface, you read a value of a UI element.

    I just downloaded the app and when I click on for my camera to import photos from my new collection "iPhone", I get an error "unable to load image". Someone else has had this problem and know how to fix? I could get a single photo to finally take as if by magic, but other 835 photos give this error when I try and select them. Thanks for your help!

    Hi Ryan,

    I have a few questions to understand the question.

    This happens to all your property or only some?

    Does it occur only on a single device (if you have several), what device you are on by knowing this?

    Have you managed to import all of your camera.

    You take the images of a specific album? If so, can you tell us a little of the assets inside the album?

    It helps to look at this image from the Photos app and a new attempt to import?

    Thank you

    Ignacio
