database on the playbook

Hello

I got a nice .sql file with lots of information, that I like a lot

So all day I had trouble finding how to access this information without typing it out in my code...

So I did all this stuff of sqlconnection and it loaded successfully my .sql, but if I send a select statement it gets an error "no such table xy." so I looked closely and saw that in the tutorial they used blabla.db and not blabla.sql

Whats up with that?

No, I have no idea how work databases
now, I've heard rumors that I have to create a .db and put my sql somehow into that?

I think im starting to get the hang of it after all.

I just create a data.db file in the bin-debug folder.

now, I can create a sql login and a sqlstatement object

Through this statement object - I can send sql commands in my database.

I have already inserted a few figures for test purposes.

I get a result with the data table. the length of this array is the number of entries in my database.

but when I trace these data [i]. Name (as in the livedocs), it traces 'undefined '.

[EDIT] haha!   data [i] .NAME: I take the column NAME. I confess that I could have understood this one earlier

Another mystery solved... Thanks for your help!

[/ EDIT]

does anyone know what that's all?

also my flashbuilder don't like this at all. It gets errors when there is not (if I restart FB, their party). He complains that the .swf is used when I start debugging (which might be true... but why?)

  • Size limits for the parameter SQLITE and file saving for the playbook

It is partly linked to another of my posts, but isn't quite a duplcate. Thanks for bearing with me.

Is there a size limit when passing a string as a parameter to an INSERT of SQLITE order? I get the transaction do not return not whatever it is, the error / success / otherwise, when I pass a string as a massive paremeters (> 50 KB).

The docs for SQLITE suggest that this should not be a problem.

As an alternative, we can save files of text in memory of the playbook, and reference them in the database. This would allow us to work around the problem?

As always, thanks for the help.

The answer to the question was the .substring (0,1000000) to add at the end of my chain. This gave me the output of 1000000 of characters which is ample. I'm guessing that this better prepare the string and removed something improper.

Has had a few tries but that's it.

  • Schema of database for the processing of the results

    Hi all

I have a question on the results of teststep registration in the database. I use the generic recordset as my database for the recording of data.

In my database (SQL Server), there are the following diagrams: dbo, dbtest1, dbtest2. I created all the tables of results (UUT_Result, Step_Result etc...) of the generic Recordset object in all schemas. Therefore, to display the results in the table of Step_Result, I specify the schema as well as the name of the table, for example SELECT * FROM dbtest1. Step_Result.

Is there a way to tell Teststand to save the result in another schema (dbo, dbtest1, dbtest2) programmatically?

    Yours sincerely,

    chati

Yes, the tool is easier to visualize what makes SQL. A user can access patterns as much as they have permission for. The problem is that, in order to specify the schema, you must assign the rating on your SQL commands. I don't know of an easy way to do this in Teststand.

If you manually create the SQL commands is noted:

    [Database]. [Schema]. [Table]

It is easier to implement multiple user names and to use the default schema to define.

You can also have a database that is different for each category of journaling (and no need to use patterns at all).

  • Adjust the data in the database with the variables

    Hello

For my internship, I have an assignment to read and set a database with the variables. This SQL server 2005 database contains variables of a controller. These are read and write variables. The assignment is to display the read variables and the user can adjust the variables of Scripture. The first part was "easy" because the forum contained a lot of examples of this. The second part is more difficult because the forum contains absolutely no example of this. Can I use LabVIEW 2010 and 2011, and also I downloaded the 30 day trial of the database connection tool. If it's useful, I can recommend my company to buy this package. Playback vi makes use of a UDL (Microsoft data link) connection.

So you guys my question is: is it possible to adjust the specific variables in a database using LabVIEW? And maybe you can give me a little advice on this topic...

    Thanks in advance!

    Roy

In SQL, the specific data are always selected with the keyword WHERE. In VI to update there is a link for options, you can for example add a constant 'WHERE id = 1457 and measure > 0.54 ".

You can ofc. also build this chain through controls, settings and other means.

If you prefer, you can use the Execute Query (under Advanced tab I think) to which you can send the complete query example "TestTable Update set name ="Zeus"where id > 14 and id.<>

  • error on the application running on the playbook

    Hello

I built an application using phonegap, what I have running on other devices, but I built a .bar file and I get the following error when you try to install the application

failure of 821 request-requires-system: System name not recognized 'BlackBerry 10'

Ive been looking for oonline and in some forums but I can't seem to find an answer to this question.

It seems that the BAR file was built for 10 BlackBerry which is a different architecture than the OS of the PlayBook.

There is here a guide which describes the process of generation for PlayBook:
    http://docs.PhoneGap.com/en/2.3.0/guide_getting-started_blackberry_index.MD.html

Specifically, you must use the Tablet OS SDK, not the BlackBerry 10 SDK.

  • To access the PlayBook PIN / UDID

    Hello

Is it possible to access unique information on the PlayBook, such as his PIN code, via the WebWorks SDK?

    Thank you.

This feature has been released with the WebWorks SDK for Tablet OS v2.1

    Details of the API here:

  • What applications will be delivered with the Playbook as default

I'm hoping to get an understanding as to what apps will be available by default with the Playbook.

This will help to decide what to build as my first communication of the app.

    Thanks in advance.

We cannot tell exactly what apps will be available right out of the box, but those I can say will be there (in addition to others) are:

    • Web browser
    • Video player
    • Music player
    • Sync with BB phones
    • Camera captures (photos and film)
    • Manipulation and photo library
    • Some games
    • App World
  • Launch of the URL in the browser of the Playbook

I must say, this complete package of the Playbook is a fascinating move by RIM. Seems really captured some interest. He certainly got I'm working on my application that I've been a bit lax to watch for a while! Also forced me pick up cocos2d-x in my todo list, as my android app used native code for graphics, so thanks for the help I needed

In any case, a question which I hit to date can come from my lack of understanding of the Playbook as a device. Is it possible (and it's a workflow accepted) for launching native browser of the Playbook since an application SDK? So if I want to link my dev blog / facebook page / G + page / whatsoever of in app I just wish I could call some URL launches the function. If it's in the docs I apologize, but I look through and cannot see an obvious reference to this type of action.

    Function called navigator_invoke draws bps

  • Porting an existing application from the PlayBook to BB10

I have a question Portage.  I think I'm ready to download an App from App World.  Please let me know if I missed a step.  Here's what I did with an existing application of the PlayBook - I downloaded and installed the "BlackBerry 10 SDK for Adobe AIR beta 3" in my Flash Builder.  Also, I requested, received and installed the new code signing for the BlackBerry PlayBook OS, BlackBerry 10 and upper keys.  I recompiled the program with the new SDK BB10 and the new code signing keys. The program works well on my PlayBook and in the emulator.  I guess that everything that I have to do now is download the app on App World.  Who is?

Why the new signing keys? If it's just an another update of an existing application to the PlayBook, you must use the same keys.
Did you use an icon of 150 x 150 and redo your screens of the new device size slash?
You resize the goods correctly for the increase of almost 2 x the pixel density?

  • How actionscript / flash apps get compiled for the PlayBook?

    Hello

When you create a bar file, what exactly? Is my actionscript into native arm assembly using a LLVM as described by Adobe for their implementation of iOS?

I ask because when I tell people I'm an application using actionscript, they say "Flash?" Why would you use Flash? Adobe gave up on this subject.  I would be like power better understand how actionscript/flex/flash is implemented for applications on the PlayBook, so that better explain to others.

    Thanks for the clarification.

Your AS3 code compiles into a SWF file that is running on the virtual machine in the AIR runtime.

    From: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplatform/whitepapers/roadmap.html

"Adobe continues to invest actively in allowing developers to create and deploy Flash based content such as mobile (or office) applications through Adobe AIR."
